A little Note to John here: "Wuffels" is Rockruff's official Name in German
It comes from "Wuff",which means "Ruff" in German and "Fels",which is "Rock" in German.
So its basically just "Ruffrock"

By the way, 'doudou' in french is a type of plushie usually associated with small kids, and "doux" alone also means soft, so jigglypuff's french name, rondoudou, basically just means round soft plushie, which I always thought was adorable !

Probably correct that SP-EU stands for Spanish-Europe.
The ESP (Español) of older games was replaced by ES-EP (Español-España), probably hinting at a future Latinamerican Spanish.
While all the Latinamerican countries that speak Spanish have diferent variations in its Spanish, it is common to have a neutral dub/translation for Latinamerican, and a more specific Spain's Spanish for Spain.
Surprise trade bingo is one of my favorite events in the John Michael Cup. I hope we get it at least one more time in season 2.
In surprise trade bingo, it also it's better imo to do it twice simply because there are so many categories that you can make one more general and one more specific for the second round to be more tense again. Cuz judging by the comments, STB is a very popular category in the JMC.

2:00 CHT is Chinese Traditional which is the script used in Taiwan, as opposed to the CHS or Chinese Simplified of mainland China.
10:40 SP-EU does refer to European Spanish which has minor differences from the different dialects of Spanish in LatAm (but I’ve not seen any other variation of Spanish covered in Pokémon)
CHT is also used in Hong Kong and Macau, among others. CHS is more common in China and some areas of Southeast Asia (like where I'm from, Singapore). There are other differences aside from the look of the letters too, like the keyboard, as well as some pokemon names. Mimikyu, for example, is called 謎擬Ｑ in CHT, but 谜拟丘 in CHS!
Ha! Minor differences? Latin America would beg to differ.
What's weird is that I thought that Surprise Trade Bingo would be a game show in the future. I still wonder about that.
I vote for Michael and John to do a game to see who wins more tera raids solo than then the other, different stars have different ooint values, and maybe different types can mean something.

The bingo challenge is one of my favorites in the John Michael Cup
1) Props to editor for adding an "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou" clip.
2) I don't think Mikey should have gotten an eeveelution with Eevee. It isn't an eeveelution, it's the base form.
And Pichu isn't a pika clone since it's part of the original Pikachu line. But eh
@Arisu Hayo that I would argue against. It is the unique electric mouse created for gen 2. It's only in the pika line to showcase the new breeding mechanics, I do think that it counts as a pika-clone.
It's much more a Pikaclone than Marill, honestly. People are still so attached to "Pikablu" that they're trying to convince themselves it has any intended link to Pikachu and friends.

Y’know, I’ve played every mainstream Pokémon game and beaten them all (story wise, not Pokédex), and yet the only shiny I have ever encountered was a Rookidee within the first ten minutes of Scarlet.
It has never left my team, my beautiful silver Corviknight
I was the exact same! (Though I Masuda method bred for a shiny Dreepy in Sw/Sh because it's my absolute favourite) Although for me it was a shiny Lechonk 10 mins in. I named him Sebastian, and I love him.

Okay so for Jigglypuff I can explain its name in French-
So it's basically a mix of "rond" ("round" or "circle") and "doudou" ("plush/plushie" but Google Translate is saying "teddy" like in "teddy bear" so that's also right)
And since it's a cute round Pokémon that's children may want to hug and stuff like that well that's why it's its name
Fun fact: i have 2 little brothers, one's called "Miguel" (spanish variant of Michael) and the other one is "Juan" (spanish variant of John)

(basically the same as "woof", just with the sound of a V and with the German word for rock at the end)

Roundoudou is actually a reference to the French word doudou, which refers to a child's toy or pacifier. Since Jigglypuff is round and toy-like, it is a round doudou. So, Roundoudou!

SP-EU is a distinction because latin spanish, from mainly central and southern america, finally became its own language after many an instance of standard SP-EU words being quite offensive in latin america. It's actually a new language, the same way traditional chinese is to the pokemon series
