How can anyone with so many awards/ accolades be under rated ? But the truth is Paul is even greater than we think , we are truly blessed to share his time on this earth
Paul is the GREATEST musician of History... We can be glad to be living during this period... In centuries, people will envy us because we were able to see him and to tell him we love him so much!!! Thank you Paul... YOU are the King of Music!! Chris
Not only that, but we can gao see him play live, see and hear his performances on our phones in the palms of our hands! This is crazy coool!!! What did we ever do to deserve sqo much?!!!
I'm always amazed how Paul continues to create original melodies and chord progressions. His songs have a familiar feel to it, but you cannot "hear" other songs within this song. A real credit to his ability.
This song is a gem. And I can not understand why it was not released in an album. Like a lot of b sides way better than songs included. If we put together some b sides, unreleased and not properly released songs we will found ourselves listening to the best macca álbum.
Paul McCartney's ability to put simplicity of a song that you can enjoy the lyrics and can't help but sing along with, and then add the complexity of orchestration, guitar riffs, and a touch of Beatlesque into to the mix is absolutely brilliant. He does it in such a subtle way. Anyone who fails to see or hear the genius of this does not have an ear for talent or music.
Well, that's your opinion. I think it's a mediocre melody played without inspiration with a cheesy string backing. Much like his output since Chaos, it's all filler. Macca is pretty much done and has been for a long time. Good while it lasted though. Flaming Pie is his last great LP and Jenny Wren his last decent song.
He makes me Wanna Go Home just to listen to his fantastic varied music ! Nobody alive or dead has surpassed him for musical talent ! Singing Playing Composing Performing Arranging Producing etc etc.....Nobody !!!
Paul may be hitting 70 in a few months but he's still one of the most beautiful men in the world -- inside and out. He's truly a genius with an immense talent for writing music. I may only be 19 but there's no age limit to the love of music and I deeply love this man.
This is beautiful, Paul. You're beautiful. Your music is beautiful. I'm glad you've graced the planet these past 67 years. You've made it a better place.
I've loved the Beatles and McCartney since 1964. Today I heard this beautiful song for the first time ever! Where has it been hiding. Paul....please bring it back and release it again. Wow.
To me, this and "Happy with you" from his last album, are two McCartney classics, up there with the very best he ever wrote. Yes, the very best (Yesterday, Hey Jude, etc). The fact that no one pays attention anymore is sad. But I do. And I will.
My brother works 4 days a week in a different town. Now Paul writes this song. That´s the magic of The Beatles. They always have a song for our lifetime. Thank, Paul, for accepting your mission and give a ray of light to our soul.
So over the past 2 years we've had the privilege to hear 3 new Paul McCartney songs. I Want to Come Home, Only Our Hearts and My Valentine. Each one better than the last. Paul is like a fine wine, he just gets better and better with age and the passing of time. Can't wait for the next album!
Shedding a tear. This is a mature piece. Paul at his sentimental greatest. For me, it's a further walk down the "Put It There' road. Brilliant. I've a shed another tear. A real one. Thanks, Paul.
I'm from Argentina... Saw the movie some days ago and listened to the song... Many thanks to Paul, he is a genius!! all over the world! I saw him at Buenos Aires, now I can't go to see anyone else!
Three Points: 1. This is one of Paul's best ever written compositions ever 2. The lyrics are of a high standard 3. We should be able to watch this on youtube at a much much higher quality than 240.
Paul you are the GREATEST musician of the 20th century!!! You are a Genius!! You live and breath for your music, and you make us so so so happy, with what you write!! Go on making music, never stop writing and recording, and please, just once : why wouldn't you try to do some Beatles music again.... You record your songs like you used to in the 60's, with George Martin or Jeff Lynne!! You know that Jeff is very good, too... That would bring emulation!!!! Go on Paulie, we love you madly!!
I would give anything to have my parents back and be able to be home with them, I just lost my Mother a few months ago, Dad was years ago. The beautiful memories they gave me and my sisters will live forever, we had a wonderful upbringing and family life. Michele
Such a beautiful song both musically and lyrically. Can't believe it wasn't nominated for an Oscar and didn't win Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song. Bewildering.
Taken from the italian.movie "stanno tutti bene", probably last time Marcello Mastroianni acted for cinema..not sure. This song is really good and such a shame.wasnt.properly aired. Thanks.Paul..perfect.song.for.the.movie.
Gracias mil.
Paul McCartney. Words cannot explain how I feel about your music. How I feel about you. Words cannot explain the fantastic person you are. Your personality. Please live forever. So that everyone will has the chance to feel the same way. As I do.
Paul, you are an isperation to my friends and i. I'm in 6th grade and everytime i hear your voice or one of the other Beatles' voices i can't help but feel so greatful for you and them for being who you(/Ringo) are/who they were(for John and George). Keep making music like this, please. Keep rockin' my world and many other people's worlds Sir James Paul McCarteny. PS. I am in love with the Beatles! I have 15 albums(soon to be more because of xmas), 4 books, like 5+ shirts, and many other things!
This song could have been written for me and I found it really moving. I've lived abroad for twenty years and never lost the desire to "come home". When home sickness gets the better of me, songs like this hit the mark. Thanks Paul. You looked into my heart.......
By now it shouldn't, but I am always amazed by how he still writes excellent songs. I mean, Paul has written fantastic songs for around fifty years! Is there anyone with a more impressive collection of songs than Paul McCartney? I doubt it.
‘Home, where there's nothing but sweet surrender, To the memories from afar. Home, to the place where the truth lies waiting, We remember who we are.’ I’m always homesick...except when I’m with you
Wonderful song, one of the best he ever wrote in my opinion.Beautiful melody, simple and great arrangement and sweet lyrics!!!You´re the Man!!!!!Thank you , and Brazilians waits for you soon!!!
Maybe the Best Song Our Dear Paul wrote since Hey Jude... Paul, This song is a Gem!!! Tears come to my eyes when I ear the chorus with the guitar.... this song makes you think? We get so caught up in everyday life, that we forget where we come from, but we never think how hard it is to go back home, great song!
Great song! I can't help thinking that if this song had been part of the White Album, it would have been such a classic by today. With a guitar solo of Harrison, some tambourine from Starr and some background vocal from John. As it is, this is already 80% of a Beatles track. I love it.
Beautiful song... It was awesome to see Paul with Engineer Geoff Emerick working together as the old times... My respect to both of you from Venezuela...
Beautiful song. His voice is aging and nowadays his range is very limited but he still writes awesome songs and before age got his voice the man had a fantastic range and vocal versatility. One of the greatest baladeers with the sweetest tones and then how he could rock it out! Kansas City/Hey Hey Hey, Long Tall Sally, I'm Down, She's a Woman, Oh, Darling, Monkberry Moon Delight to name a tiny selection of his rock-out singing.
Thank you Paul for this song. It's another Masterpiece. Emotional, beautiful and a great melody. Nice Video, too! I'm 28, from Buenos Aires Argentina. We're waiting for you. All the best! You're a genius Julio Martinez.-

We are celebrating our 40th homecoming and when i was asked to suggest a song to commemorate this i immediately remembered the movie (that made me cry...) Everyones Fine and the song. I didnt even realize until now that the great Paul McCartney wrote and sang it. The lyrics are perfect... and i am glad I looked it up again. They should revive marketting this song. Its perfect again for this pandemic when people are stuck working overseas and miss home... esp healthworkers....
Paul McCartney's Performance in Cologne was breathtaking. I couldn't believe that he was a 67 years old man. Amazing! And this song is so beautiful! Thanks again, Sir Paul McCartney!
I love it! Another fantastic song from one of the greatest artists this world has ever seen or ever will see! Thanks for all of the inspiration and great music Sir Paul.
I think Paul can produce whatever he likes - being a writer I can accept that a greater talent such as his has nothing to prove and that's what makes him privileged. Yes... this is a masterpiece!
This song really grows on you - to appreciate how great it is you need to see 'Everybodys Fine'. Macca wrote it after watching the film and its the perfect summary and ending to the movie. True! He is brilliant.
Make one yourself as I do on a CDR audio hifi recorder & compile tracks from the other Beatles solo offerings & name album title too.
Paul says thats because the music were made especialy to the movie.
so true: Flying to my home is one of his best songs
I totally agree.
