The Beatles - Real Love - 1967 Version [ AI cover from the creator of Now And Then 1964 ]

- A re-imagining of The Beatles Anthology reunion classic, "Real Love," performed in the style of the Sgt. Pepper's/Magical Mystery Tour 1967 era. This recording contains no samples of other recordings. The music and vocals were performed and recorded by a real live human, and then the lead vocals I sang were then run through A.I. filters to replicate the tones of Paul, John, and George’s voices. ( Watch a video of my recording process here: • How I made the 1964 BE... )
One of the requests I've repeatedly received in response to my "What If The Beatles recorded Now And Then in 1964" video ( • Video ) was for 1960s versions of the other two "reunion" Beatles songs, Free As A Bird and Real Love. I know Jeff Lynne's production splits some Beatlemanics, but I'm a die hard ELO and Jeff fan, and have always loved those recordings, so I didn't immediately have an idea how to approach them with anything fresh. A couple weeks ago though, I finally had an idea for Real Love that both seemed exciting to tackle from a recording standpoint, and also seemed to fit an appropriate era where I could see it sitting pretty seamlessly alongside other songs from that year.
A 1967 “Summer Of Love" interpretation of Real Love.
And even more inspiring (and a bit nerve-racking) would be to try to attempt something completely different from the Now And Then 1964 recording...a convincing George Martin orchestral arrangement, with just a few Spitfire BBC Symphony ( www.spitfireaudio.com/bbc-sym... ) plug-ins in my home studio.
I'm no George Martin, but I gave it my best shot, and ended up really happy with the results.
I also really took my time with this one. For Now And Then, I recorded it basically in a day, with a few tweaks over the weekend. This one, I spent the last two weeks fine-tuning every track to try to get as "Beatlesy" as possible. I really tried to mimic John, Paul, and George's vocal with my own voice the best I could, line-by-line, before I fed it into Voicify, and I was really impressed with how much better a product the A.I. shot out on the other end. The robotic sounds I worked around on the Now And Then vocals really were hugely minimized, and I was able to pick the best takes, mostly the same way I would comp my own vocal tracks.
Anyway, I know people seem to be curious about the whole process of how I make these, so if enough people are interested, let me know in the comments and maybe I’ll put together a “Making Of” video for this one, as I did for Now And Then (watch that here: • How I made the 1964 BE... )
In the meantime, here’s my humble little attempt at another fun “What If” cover, written by John Lennon, originally performed by John, Paul, George, and Ringo, this version re-imagined and performed completely by myself, with a little assist from some Voicify A.I. filters on my vocals (once again all instruments and vocals were recorded by me, and then John, Paul, and George modeling was added at the finish.)

Fantastic work! So much fun.
Awesome! This one actually sounds better
@@MrCranberries17 That was the first thought to hit my mind!
Hell of a lot better than the original.
You’re like a mini George Martin.
Ha ha!! Love that!!😂. 💗💖💕
Deixarão uma linda obra
Or a 2nd Giles Martin
I like it.
Yet I also really like the Jeff Lynne/Beatles version.
My hat off to you for being so brave 😊
Cus he's only 4 foot
It's like "Penny Lane" and "All You Need Is Love" put together. I love it. Well done.
Тоже хотел сказать, что песня звучит из времени Пенни-Лейн. Увидел Ваш комментарий, с которым согласен.
And the Strawberry Fields outro.
Yes
bass reminds me of with a little help of my friends
Sounds like Your Mother Should Know
As a hardcore Beatles fan I was prepared to be disappointed over an AI treatment of a song I really like. But this is really cool! Made me smile throughout. Nicely done. 👏
Same here. This feels like a legit Beatles song
Same I'm a hard-core Beatles fan too. this sounds really cool! Thanks for uploading
The little inclusion of horns really makes me think of George Martin
This is excellent all the way through and feels like a legitimate 1967 Beatles piece.
I don't know
Sounds totally fake to me . Which it is
The arrangement certainly works. The production being modern throws it off a bit though imo.
Not really but nice try
Je n’y crois pas une seconde (Fake I don’t believe)
Damn, in an alternate reality where this was really recorded by the Beatles in 1967, I can imagine this being a classic that would have been just about as iconic as All You Need is Love. It truly sticks with you
I could highly agree! So much that I would see this as side two of the all you need is love single!
Go up to some old person and say the Beatles release another new record😂
The audio may have been to your satisfaction. But the video included something impossible-- a photo of Yoko Ono. She was nowhere around during any 1967 recordings in the studio. She first showed up in 1968 during the White Album sessions making this otherwise fine video unauthentic. In other more brutal wording, FAKE. The audio is great. But the video is unacceptable.

Baby You're A Rich Man, yes. Real Love, no.
What are you? Generation Y?
This truly is a masterpiece. It has a bit of Penny Lane and a bit of Your Mother Should Know. I love the flute arabesque too. Keep on producing
Amazing…better with that classic vibe. Well done
This was absolutely incredible! It was like hearing a long-lost Beatles song. How's this for a fanfiction brainstorm... in the late 70s, John is reminiscing of his Beatle days and plays a slower version of Real Love on his piano just for sh*ts and giggles. Flash forward many years later to when Yoko gives Paul the home recording tapes, and Paul hears this. Being reminded of this long-lost song - and remembering how much fun they had recording it in 1967 - he approaches the other guys who agree to work on it. And in 1996, they release a re-working of one of their songs that never had a proper release or even saw the light of day.... til now.
It sounds very much like a McCartney song. Let's have a whole album please!
Definitely. You’ve turned a Lennon song into a McCartney one. I like it. I think this is the strongest of the “new” Beatles songs. I’m surprised Lennon didn’t record it properly and release it in his lifetime. Maybe he would have gotten around to it.
@@tonydalton459 Of course he would, it would’ve been on the next album.
Yes …an whole album! ❤
@@Powertuber1000he write this songs for a Beatles Return
Just provide the lost Lennon demos.
Very enjoyable!
LOL This is much better than the released version! Great job!
That's true
YES i love this. I need more please 🙏 Free As a Bird 68/69 next??
My favorite Beatles years that would be sick!
This is probably the coolest thing i've seen with AI. And you've done so respectfully, it's really nice.
That McCartney-ish vocal answer part was fantastic! That’s exactly the type of arrangement the Fab would’ve done. Excellent job!
OMG! So very much better than the officially released version! Kudos to you & thank-you very much! Hope to hear more!
Um, no.
You're getting very close to that "lost Beatles record" I've had in my mind for a long time. 😎 Very nice work
What a nice feeling to go back to 1967 with such a beautiful video. You are truly a gifted musician!
Dude, this is hands down better than the released version!
Amazing! I am playing this on my radio show tonight!
Beat me to it. Better than the original version.
You’re entitled to your opinion. I’m entitled to HEAVILY disagree with you.
Yes you are, but how?? lol this is absolutely fantastic@@markpr73
finally i can hear john's voice clearly. Thankyou
WOW, THIS IS REALLY BRILLIANT! Best Beatles AI creation I've heard so far!
I felt shivers up my back near the end when they said, "Paul is dead. No, really. We mean it this time. No foolin'."
Seriously, congratulations. I've been disappointed with other AI tracks, but this one sounded spot on. I think I could tell George's guitar playing at times, and Ringo's drumming sounded authentic. The only thing missing was that Beatle magic when they would add something totally unexpected but perfectly right in the moment, and who can do that?
Superb work. Love it when Paul comes in on the chorus.
I gotta say that you even nailed the bass style of McCartney. Beautiful.
Dedicated cover! Thank you for posting!
Thank you! I enjoy your videos enormously. You have your own unique kind of genius. Reimagining great songs in a different era. So lovingly constructed.
Zooming back into 1967 with a 1995 era song... I think this is a very comendable cover. Almost sounds like well... The Beatles.
First time I recognised Paul’s vocals on the bridge. Also that fkn George inspired solo was so realistic
This was beautifully done. I can’t wait to hear the version with your original voice :)
What more can I say the Beatles magic continues they're
The complete package
Very good result! the voices are superbly done!
Real love for a Smile session in a Brian Wilson Style
Another hit for The Timeatles, Great work. I think you've hit on something here buddy, I really do.
Excellent work! Such a quality performance and mix!
This is incredible ❤❤
Tops! Now it makes an excellent twin-companion to the original All You Need Is Love.
Brilliant! Bravo...outstanding variation.love it.
This sounds as if a '67 recording has just been remixed for the Blue album and all the instruments can be heard better. Well done!
🫡FREE AS A BiRD🕊️VERSION PLEASE!!🙌🏼Thank you so much for doing this you’re amazing simply the BEST my friend..🙌🏼
listening to your magic Real Love again - whole family enjoying it - listened to it 20+ times at least. Actually sounds like The Beatles - Jeff Lyne did his best at the time but he'd love your track infinitely more.
Another great piece of work, Timmy!😊🎶🎶🎶
Absolutely incredible !!! Always loved the song, this really shows how good it really is .
As a Beatles fan of nearly 50 years standing, I have to say I think this is way better than the '90s version! It really sound like it's from 1967. You nailed Paul's Sgt Pepper bass sound. Absolutely love it!
He also nailed mac's voice wow!!
Fantastic! it's real-ly love-ly to listen to..
I am blown away. I can't wait to hear Free as a Bird if you do that one ❤
Super. Your work on sound recording and mixing is truly excellent.
I really enjoyed listening to this a lot. Great work my friend. Thank you.
This is increadible. I sometimes wonder how some slow and calm post-Beatles songs such as Beutiful Boy would sound in the 60's rock style. It would also be fascinating if you did the reverse sometimes and made a full slow version of Help or other Beatles hits in the 70's/80's fahsion!
Your attention on the small details sounds are amazing
Please continue with this kind of videos, I love them so much, especially the Oasis style cover of Now And Then that you did, really excellent work. It would be cool if you tried to create other similar videos maybe even with other artists (like Queen or ELO for example)
You might appreciate Timmy's earlier track "One Dimensional Man" from the album Weeks.
Arguably the ELO style of Real Love was already released in the 90s!
@@StuartQuinn well, actually you're right 😅
I’m legit grateful for the work you’re doing, man. I get to hear my favorite band make new music. They mean so much to me, and you’re bringing them back to life.
Very, very nice. Well done….
This is fucking amazing. Please make more. I love this so much and now and then
Great job really enjoy listening to it and the video is outstanding. I am definitely interested in watching the "The Making of ...."
You really should attend the Beatlefest in NYC in February.
Thank you so much, as a Beatles fan its really cool to find these fan mades. I really appreciate it
This is so great! Thanks for creating it, and sharing it.
Sounds great. Would love to see what you can do with Free as a bird 😃
Oh yes! ❤ That would be wonderful!
Wow. This is like an alternate universe version of the song. Beautiful work.
Well...I bow down in reverence. That was a fun trip to the 60's with your very impressive creation of the Fab Four. Loved your choices overall in how you 'painted' your auditory version of Real Love. Time travel with an excellent version with fine, fine vocals. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.😊
A wonderful version. Lots of love and passion went into this, you can tell.
The guitar solo is so George. A mix between Fixing A Hole and All You Need Is Love guitar solo.
it is the original guitar solo from '92 but just more saturated.
It is NOT the original guitar solo.
Whaaaattt!!! Absolutely knocking it out of the park again! Incredible, mate. It’s like stumbling across brand new tracks again. Love love love your work
Fantastic! So much better than the Anthology version! I feel like I found a long lost Magical Mystery Tour song.
Excellent . Thanks for sharing this.
Great job!
Very nice work, it really sounds like if they do it on the peppers days
Absolutely amazing, I would to hear some more
Wow, i always wanted to hear "Real Love" like in 60s. Sometimes dreams really comes true.
Hasta ahora me han gustado las 2 versiones de NOW AND THEN y REAL LOVE
si en un futuro hay mas, me suscribire
Congrats brother what an awesome remake!! This sounds like it really belongs to Pepper !!!
Please make a video of the production process like the one for Now and Then!!!
Always loved this song and this is a bow on the top.
wow this is so well done! great photos too. i love '67 beats, john looked so happy :'-)
ok coming back to say i listen to this all the time... i wish you could put this on spotify without getting sued or arrested or something lmao
Maravilhoso, tudo parece extremamente autentico da época... o arranjo de cordas e metais, o solo de guitarra, a bassline, a intro, a própria música
I hate myself for liking this so much
Yeah, it's so bad but also pretty decent at the same time 😂
No Me too I'm not so fond of Faked Recordings.
Yet Admit would've been a very cool version. and could have been accepted by the Beatles?
we'll never know?
Wow, the guitars sound straight off of Pepper. This is so well-done.
This was really cool. Loved it.
Oh my word! I can "hear" Sgt. Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour in this track. Seriously, this is so much fun to listen to. I hope someday to hear "The Beatles" playing on each other's solo tracks, even adding bridges or verses, trading instrumental solos, etc. etc. etc.
I more hear Lightning Seeds, Blur etc.

Is the best version of a song that I’ve heard ever! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I can't like this version enough, thank you for creating this video Timmy, I love it sooo much! 💕
I'm usually a harsh critic when it comes to reimagined songs, but you nailed this one sir.
I can only repeat what others have said-wow, just fantastic! It actually sounds like the lost track from Magical Mystery Tour George Martin forgot to include (though I doubt he really would omit something as good as this) It reminds me that the first, unreleased, version of Please Please Me was apparently a slow dirge before George Martin stepped in and suggested speeding it up-which the Beatles did and John Lennon admitted later captured the fast Beatles' spirit. Real Love too was just the rudiment of a song in its demo form. Who knows, John may have endorsed this version or done something similar had he known AI technology.
Timmy, another gorgeous production! I do think you captured the era well, and the arranging is wonderful. It's hard to not like the catchy rhythm of a shuffle but I still enjoy the Anthology's straight eighths rendition an awful lot. That Beatles production seems more autumnal to me whereas yours sounds more summer-y. The AI Lennon voice on your version is a reminder of how much better the Anthology version might yet become if they separate and enhance its Lennon lead vocal too as they did for 'Now and Then.'
With the ability to play all the instruments and to transform your vocal timbre into John, Paul, and George sound-alikes what's to prevent you from writing a dozen songs in Beatles style and creating a full pseudo-Beatles album? (Yes, I know the time investment.) So long as you're up front and honest with your audience about the AI vocal processing I think there might be significant interest if the songs themselves were inherently good and stylistically authentic. Haven't we all wished we could write a Beatles song? Well, you can actually RECORD one that's tough to fault.
My personal indulgunce as a songwriter battling illness this fall has been to rewrite Beatles song lyrics with replacement parody lyrics-the majority of them humorous and a minority serious. It's actually been a lot of fun, a whole lot of lyric-writing practice, and a welcome diversion. Since I've teased the topic that much here, let me just say that 'All My Loving' turned into 'All My Laundry,' '(No,) You Can't Do That' became 'Musk Will Settle That,' 'Penny Lane' transformed into 'Denny Laine,' and 'Here, There, and Everywhere' and 'Day Tripper' reappeared as 'Deer, Bear, and Savoir-Faire' and 'Tray Dipper.' This artistic crime has advanced to the point where I probably have forty of these Beatles parody lyrics sitting around now. Fun times.
Very very good! Thank you
Love the shuffle beat and positive/uplifting mood! A+
Real Love is my favorite song of all time! Thank you for giving me chills again!
I - I - I . . . LOVE IT!!!!! Thanks for making another post-Beatle song into a positive, uplifting experience. There is too much sadness and depression in McCartney's productions, which was so unlike the '67 Beatles. I think John would be proud! 👏 ❤ 👏
yes sounds like them in that era, good work
Such an amazing work, I play this version from now on
This is scary good
OMG, this is really good, a Beatle level production.
Very 90s sound
Outstanding work! Changing up the rhythmn/crossfading at the end - genius.
This is amazing.Obviously the amazing Neil Innes comes to mind.People think Timmy just clicked 'Lennon" and the computer just spat this out.Theres more to it than that, I assure you.
Beautiful loping 'Penny Lane' feel and all the little nods to the 1967 style and instrumentation.
Wow, fantastic playing and production! That vocal AI program you are using is very convincing. You’ve caught the ‘67 vibe perfectly.
I am digging this version! It does sound like it could be on the Magical Mystery Tour album.❤❤❤
fantastic, amazing, magnificent.. Please continue in this spirit!
Outstanding production and vision.
This is incredible! This totally sounds like the Beatles 1967. Even the McCartney bass lines are what you would expect. Keep up the great work. I really enjoy and appreciate your wonderful efforts!
Simply amazing. WOW. You are a truly gifted musician.
Great rendition
Very cool. Well done!
