Had some proper "nastro azzurro" years ago and it was pleasant enough.Trying to get the real imported beers to try isn't always that easy as like you most of our lagers are brewed under licence and the macro breweries disguise the origins on the labels. Unfortunately British water isn't conducive with the brewing of most pale and light beers. EG. Molson/Coors brew many beers in their giant Burton... 'beer Factory' and the water there is very suphurous, therefore lighter beers especially can taste "musty" and often smell of "fart". Delicious!
Very disappointing to hear that you suffer from the horrible brewed under licence epidemic too. We used to get imported Nastro but it seems that as soon as an imported beer gets popular, they start brewing it locally. Cheers!
Love it mate, the eye roll of peroni nastro azzurro brewed in Australia under licence was gold! I really love this beer and the Italian brewed nastro azzuro!
