U2 always seems to find new ways to reinvent the power of their best ever song. Bullet just keeps getting more and more powerful as the years go by. The Edge's tone here is just incredible.
The insertion of the lyrics which adds the conflict/struggle between young and old Bono is awesome. It basically aims to capture, or at least show recognition, that as you get older you may have the same aims but your manner of doing so may be wholly different. He doesn't apologize for his status now, but he's also trying to use it for the same original aims. You can disagree with the method, you can disagree with the aims, you can say it's just theater because he's rich, but at least you have to appreciate him attempting to articulate his own personal conflict.
In my opinion one of the best versions, that I have had the pleasure of hearing her twice live. In PopMart and Vertigo. The version of Zoo TV Age, is incredible, but it is one thing that the Zoo TV has, this version is scary, terror, passes the image of hopelessness which we live. Time passes, but certain songs remain strong.

Larry Mullen jr was very critical of bonos hob knobbing with blair and bush. he is a very quiet guy. he is the boss. he formed the band in his late dads kitchen. but they are very equal. in terms of song writing, creative input etc. and financial matters. so if something happens to one member the band is finished.

And if we jump to the last album we Raised By Wolves, Like Baby Tonight which in my opinion are so great modern music. Now masterpieces, as is (bullet), even big bands have not so much. So much so that the band is rare in active with the original line and still giving media for its made present and not the past. The last album is brilliant, seen live the songs and the show is stunning. First time I had ever seen then and was not disappointed. Also find out what the songs are about, the cover up of a car bomb in Dublin in the '70's. Child abuse by a Catholic priest and so on. The lyrics make the songs.

However, the above version turns the spoken part into an argument with a radical youth who sees Bono as "part of the problem, not the solution", which could refer to Bono's more recent role in trying to influence word leaders from within the elite and/or to U2's tax affairs in Ireland. Either way, "outside it's America" does not appear to refer to Obama's influence on Middle Eastern affairs, even though his administration has dropped far more bombs on the Middle East than Reagan did worldwide during his two terms.
