I keep rewatching this and it’s breathtaking every time. No band comes close to this level of performance, drama, musicianship and sheer emotional power.
Yeahhh it's truly true. I so much love U2. And they're here last Dec. 11, 2019. Uplifting my soul during the concert! From Philippines 🇵🇭🇮🇹. I love U2 forever!😍🇵🇭🇮🇹
Podeljenost i mrznja.
So proud to be a part of this. U2 is the only band who has a message to give to each person through all of their songs. Every story they tell hits close to home. I'm amazed.
Pink Floyd disagrees with you. But to be clear, U2 and Pink Floyd are my 2 favorite bands. What you just said is why I love both. So I’m not disagreeing with you. I’m just adding Pink Floyd onto it.
I am a musician (guitarist) I write songs and making a kick ass band and u2 expanded my vision about music ,I was a refugee from Syria and I examined what bono said in the song , his performance was so charged and emotional it made me cry at the end
This is PERFECTION for me. I listen to so much different musc these days, but there is only one band, who keeps drawing me back. No other band floats my musical boat, more than u2. There are only a handfull of u2 songs that i cant be doing with. BUt 99.5% of their catalogue, is UNBEATABLE for me.
Bullet has always been a favorite of mine, and I love the version they did at Slane Castle. Fast forward to November 11th, 2015, Paris, France. I was at a U2 show, the world was great, but Paris was about to be hit with a terrorist attack just two days after, while we were still there. Luckily not getting hurt. This version with October transitioning into Bullet and with updated relevant lyrics is just perfect. 30 years ago Bono had to instruct the clap rhythm for the audience. Not any more. Very very powerful moment, especially considering what happened two days after. And the video art.. From beautiful drone shots of a bombed out city at sunset then transitioning into straight war and the effects blinding you as Edge hits you with the sound of his guitar. It was amazing.
Bullet the Blue Sky has got to be one of the most haunting songs in rock and roll.... everytime i hear it ...especially live.... i get chills! It is such a heavy song
Can we talk about The Edge's performance. Excellent. I've got chills every time i listen to this. I literally feel like a bomb is falling somewhere near me. This is music man
I cry every time I hear this song . It captures the horrors empire commits upon the “least of us”. Bono takes it to a new place with added banter, recognizing the irony of success in his profession...it’s a confession. Good art changes and adapts with time. Amazing and thoughtful performance!
Is there any other band that moves our collective souls like U2? I've been blessed to witness many of concerts, from country to rap to rock and all things in between, but when I've been graced to attend a U2 concert, I feel like I am witnessing music being transformed, like its' being born before my own eyes, like exactly what music was always meant & dreamt to be. They stir the soul, they help bring out the best of all Us, they are the Rock that makes Us Roll.
So the jb's don't measure up then? Or funkadelic, or prince or anything that has soul power and funk to boot? What about bands like pink floyd? The beatles? It seems you have the best band idea completely fucking twisted! U can go ahead and burn your music collection right now.
@@dikbeats2720 It's his opinion, so let him be you fucking asshole. You are "completely fucking twisted!" if you say shit like this to someone that has his own opinion. I even think Paul would respect yours but you don't. So learn to respect opinions or go fuck yourself, you prick
When you realize that bono describes himself to the crowd and combines that with the words to bullet Lines like "Can you see those fighter planes when your flying on private planes" Brilliant Performance
I think it is a common theme with U2 to make reference to their own hypocricy. The whole song 'God Part II' has that going on. "Don't believe in riches, but you should see where I live".
To this day, that is one of the greatest live transitions between songs I've ever heard. Not the biggest U2 fan, but that was a special moment. People who witnessed that live are beyond lucky.
Wow!!!!! I’ve been an U2 fan since New Year’s Day. This song is so powerful. I’ve never seen them live, but it is on my bucket list. Biblical references and a Paul Hardcastle reference doesn’t go unnoticed. One of the greatest bands of all time.
Such a hauntingly beautiful and powerful performance of “October.” The audience seemed to be hanging on every single piano note and word. One could have possibly heard a pin drop. That’s how incredibly captivating this band is.
Bullet the blue Sky is the best rock song ever written, sing it 💚💚🎸A slap on the head of the great politicians of the earth. In my opinion the greatest musical protest, ever written
October was in the 1981 album of the same name. Bullet the blue sky was on the Joshua Tree 1987. Yet everytime their live performance makes it sound so new and fresh!
First time seeing/hearing this song. U2 has a very good way of blending music. Very talented musicians. Reminds me of the band Tool. Definitely not the same genre of music but they also have an amazing ability to blend music like this.
Biff Malibu typical liberal fuck , assumes a trump supporter wouldn’t like this u2 fucking brilliance , despite knowing the globalist fuck bono evolved into
The only song bigger than this in U2’s best song list is Pride(in the name of love) it’s a fabulous performance by Edge and the lyrics are so open to interpretation one of my must listen often songs
If you want to test your sound system, headphones, EarPods, do it now. One of the best live mixes on RUclips. Bass, drums, guitar combined with a fantastic voice.
I'm fan of the band for 40 years, and definitely, Bullet is my all time fav. This song is like a mix of all the thoughts and experiences of Bono over the past 30 years, brought to light by Edge, Larry or Adam, following one of the many versions created by the band. I think it's the ultimate U2 song. The one that should be found by our children, or the extra-terrestrials who will have taken our place, in 10,000 years following archaeological excavations..
Incomparable. Clayton and Mullen really deserve equal credit with The Edge on this. They are spectacular.
Great rhythm section Adam's just booms and larry hitting the kit so hard
Bono was pretty good to✌️
I’ve been to the 4 Parisian shows!
If you take the arguably softest song before hardest song in the canon, U2 can. That transition is not easy.
I keep rewatching this and it’s breathtaking every time. No band comes close to this level of performance, drama, musicianship and sheer emotional power.
Still blasting it?
And they're actually playing their instruments and singing while they do it. Imagine that.
Pink Floyd did back in the day.

Exhibit A as to why U2 is the greatest live act ever. This is a powerful performance.
jadis40 I still prefer the ZOOTV / Zooropa Tour version...
I still prefer the Red Rocks version myself....
Point is all live versions of this song put the hairs on your arm up.
Damn so cool performance
'twas far more provocative when the burning crosses turned into swastikas in '93 - the UN stuff is so obtuse. Bozo and ruined it.
No one makes Shows like U2. And Bono is a incredible poet.
This band is supernatural. Age doesn’t affect them in any way, shape or form. They’re eternally badass.
This might be the greatest version of this song ever played
This and Sydney 1993
I think i agree
Maybe?
No. They were much better in the 80s. Rattle Hum is a better version.
And in slane castle as well
Greatest band. No more to add.

They have to be the best band of all times, they're sound is incredible.

Wow, best version of this song ever, 4 men at work, at their craft, at the top of their game, owning the moment!
It might just be. As a kid I'd play the Joshua Tree tape to go to sleep. If I was awake for Bullet I'd be up til Exit.

I've been a huge fan of this song (and U2) since forever. I never thought they'd be able to give it new life after so many years. Truly outstanding
Larry is on fire here as well. there as some real nice subtle rolls that add to the power of the Edge's fantastic performance.
they were on fire this night. probably the sickest performance ive seen of either song
This is why Music is life.

U2.
