I love Type A rifles, I have 2 of them and they’re from my home town in Grand Rapids so I wanted to support them. I’ve been super interested in the EG11 more for a “range toy” or a competition pistol because it’s too big for EDC, I wish instead of the RMR they would have either put the RMR HD or the SRO on the package pistol at the price point they have it at. I hope they come out with a commander length version and possibly down the line an EDC similar to the Staccato CS 3.5”. I don’t think I’d get this 5” version because of the length making it “less versatile” for me but it is still a great introduction to the “1911/2011” pistol game and I hope they stick with it and continue to open up the line more. I’m also waiting for Type A to make a .30 cal piston driven rifle option and I’ve spoken with “BG” about that because I asked them to make me a 14.5” 6.5 creedmoor Contractor (piston driven) and I cannot wait for them to roll out the .30 cal piston rifles!
