How can a person such as myself learn how to sew without using the RUclips tutorials. I have so many ideas and designs and creativity that I'd love to produce. Not likely that it's fear it's moreso because of the time. It's been an intriguing want to learn since my youth. My grandmother, aunt and mother had sewing machines when I was a child and would sew some clothes that we would wear when we couldn't afford name brands and just as proud to wear them because the time that they took to use their gifts as if they were cooking as well. They did it as well. Now I want to be that passionate for a skill that rarely gets invested into. It's like a lost art. Thank you for your upcycles and your sharing.

Love it! What came to mind for the scraps is some sort of short leg warmers/bootie toppers. You being long legged I could see them being practical & fun.
I'm loving this jacket; I have a machine and I might just have to go thrift two jackets to try. I was upset you were cutting the vintage jacket at first, but the end result was spectacular!
Since i am older and thicker with naturally broad shoulders, i will use a more fitted denim jacket but i love the shrimp curl sleeves and love the color combo! Don’t have the machines but maybe can get someone to do the upcycle sewing for me! Beautiful work! This is the 2nd video i’ve watched of yours.

LOVE!!! what you did with this upcycle!!… as far as the leftover part of the donor coat goes… how about making a button in peplum?… it could button inside the denim part of the jacket… OR use part of the sleeves to create a “belt” that the peplum is sewn onto… you could wear over the outside of the denim jacket.
