Okay, so I'm a former K teacher and Agnes is EXACTLY the reason there was zero trading in my class. I told them they have to go through their parents if they want to trade because we don't always know what is important and not so important. And FYI, Agnes's Mom don't give a f where the headbands are coming from. She sees them but she doesn't care. A parent who cared would have brought them to the teacher and said, 'I don't know where these are coming from'. 🤷‍♀️

I was that mom. My kid started bringing home silly bands. Apparently they were only allowed to trade those and some toy the boys were playing (roll the ball and a monster popped out. Don’t member the name) anywhoser, I went up there to talk to the teacher immediately and was reassured. You are absolutely right that she don’t care. What a lackadaisical parent. So toxic.

When I was little, my first bike was stolen. We found out it was the little girl a couple streets over. My mom was pissed. She and I marched over there. We stood out in front of the girls house and it was obvious that house hold was having problems. Beer cans trash and junk everywhere. I looked at my mom because she stopped. Her whole vibe changed. She looked like she was going to cry. We turned around and started to walk away. My mom asked me to invite the girl to come over on Saturday. I did. Long story short My mom talked to her in privet for a while about the situation and told her if there was anything she ever needed to talk about EVER to come to her. My mom asked for the bike back and had a little bike just like mine but purple for her hidden in the other room. When she went home and brought back my bike my mom surprised her with one of her own. That has sat in my heart my whole life.

My parents are Sunday school teachers in a class of over 160 people. All of the class members are kind, Godly people. But every Sunday they remind the whole class that when they leave the church, they are representing their faith, ESPECIALLY at restaurants during the Sunday rush. We dont play games.

She penned a very polite note to the pastor asking for prayers for the 'leader' by name as she clearly needed a re-set on her attitude and she was giving the church a 'bad name'. In the nicest way possible she outlined their bad behavior and made it clear that everybody in the restaurant knows where they came from. Even when the waste is bagged, it not only gets extremely stinky in the intense FL heat, but the bags often aren't tied or they sink to the bottom of the can. They then don't get into the garbage truck - so the small poop bags remain in my can. Sometimes they aren't even tied and I've had to wash out my can on several occasions due to busted or untied poop bags as well as leftover carry out pop/soda cups dripping into the bottom of my can. It's a difficult task for me to hose out the can given my permanent disability. I now don't put my can to the curb the night before as instructed by the Waste company, I do it first thing in the morning on pick up day....then I make sure I listen for the garbage pickup so I can return the can to my garage right away. She said her mom would pay me back at the end of school so I gave her the money so she could also enjoy candy during the break. At the end of the day, I was waiting near where the girl was waiting for her mom and when she arrived and they started to leave I approached them and told her mom what happened and if she could give me the money (for some context, I'm from Mexico. The amount I'm talking about was like 3-5 pesos which was around 30-50 American cents maybe, can't be completely sure, but for me it was a lot) and she looked at me and said she wasn't going to pay me anything, that it was my fault for giving her (her daughter) money.... I was in shock, and that day, my 8y/o self learned a valuable and hard lesson: some people are straight trash with no principles, and that I would never lend money unless they really proved they were friends ☠️ (thankfully never happened again)

Regarding the Italian restaurant story: There is a reason people in the industry call these charming individuals The God Squad and groan whenever they see them approaching the front door. Entitled, allergic to tipping, and quite often very rude. Favorite TGS story: Wait approached table, greeted them, and asked, "What can I get you to drink?" Ms. Church Lady, in a righteous/huffy tone loudly proclaimed, "We don't DRINK!," to which the wait responded, "No fluids at all? No water, soda, or tea?," which [of course] made her even *more* huffy. Those folks are such a trip.

I would walk 2 miles holding a bag of dog dookie before stinking up someone else's trash can. We don't know if they store it in their garage, if they're an older person who would have difficulty cleaning the bin, if their trash people don't take dog poop. At my old home if it was a lone poop bag the trash collectors would absolutely NOT take it. Like never.
Unless you know the person and have verified it's ok to toss dog poop in their bin, just hold onto it until you find a public bin or your own bin. It sucks when there aren't a lot of public bins but it's super rude to stink up a stranger's bin. In fact, I don't even put my dog's poop bags in my own bin. I go to a specific public dog poop bin near my home so my garage won't smell.

Thank you. I don't own dogs and the days between trash pickup our trash cans can't be in view of the street, per neighborhood rules. Putting them in my backyard behind the fence means raccoons get into them, but I also have to carry trash from inside the house quite a long way around the outside to put the trash in the outside cans. So, our cans stay in our garage, which opens directly to our kitchen. I do not want my cans to smell like dog poop. Eventually the smell will start to seep into my house. I chose not to own a dog, therefore I shouldn't have to deal with their poop or bad smells. If that means dog owners have to carry a full bag of poop on a walk, oh well. That's part of the consequences of choosing to be a dog owner. Don't like it? Then don't own a dog. So, thank you for respecting your clients' neighbors' property!

Poop in the trash can does matter. Unless you're putting on the top of a full bin and trash is being picked up that morning it's a huge problem. If you toss it in someone's empty bin at the end of their driveway after trash collection they're now stuck with it rotting there until the next pickup. Worse if it breaks open. It's inconsiderate. Depending where you live people pay for trash collection service - it's not for public use. It's also an issue if it's at the bottom and garbage collection doesn't dump the entire can. Now it's stuck there getting crushed under the owner's normal trash week after week. They may not be physically able to clean/fish out your filth from the bottom of their can and they shouldn't have to. Your pet? Your responsibility.

    • @dustinriley8059

I was a restaurant manager for 25 years, casual dining. Church groups were not something the servers looked forward to. Example: I once paid a server a twenty percent tip from the restaurant’s petty cash. I wrote on the chit (receipt) that went to accounting “ the customers were assholes who stiffed their server.” I was asked about it by my area director and after I told him the story, even he believed I was a “valid expense”. 😂. BTW server wage for my state was and still is $3.35 per hour. My servers made GOOD money cause they were the best, mostly part time college students. 😊

I was a waitress for 20 years- in the south. My state had tipped wage at 2.25. I flat refused to work Sundays unless they threatened to fire me (which they could do for any reason any time) solely because of church groups. Rude, entitled, messy and no tip- I still ended up working plenty of Sundays and can't tell you how many times I got 1 or 2 bucks on a 50 or 70 dollar check. Or no actual tip- just a religious pamphlet about how I was going to hell or needed Jesus. And left more mess than 5 children. I'm shuddering now just remembering it.

Hearing these horrible customers stories makes me glad I put in the extra time and effort to be as good a customer as I could be for my 30th birthday celebration. I provisionally reserved my table for a party of 16 people 6 weeks in advance (was pleasantly surprised by us being given a separate room), confirmed my reservation and preordered food 3 weeks in advance (even organised the preordered food into a nice, clear table when I emailed it to them), asked if it was OK to bring a cake made by a baker in, arrived early enough to add my own decorations - balloons and flowers - they had said I could bring and then tidied them up after too, kept track of everyone's orders so I knew exactly who had preordered what (thanks to the table I had open on my mobile), checked that everyone had paid and offered to cover anyone who might have forgotten (no one did) and tipped 20%. It was a lot of effort but I am happy to do it for special occasions.
PS I invited friends, church family and neighbours but I can promise we didn't sing. There wasn't even a Happy Birthday to you, which was such a relief.

As a former server, i was that one server who handled large parties typically because the rotation of seats and having to auction of food gets real old, and disrupts other tables enjoying their meals around a larger party.
I set ground rules as soon as I introduced myself, telling all large parties to make their dining experience pleasant I would start at the top left corner of the table getting orders, I would go clockwise around the table, where the food was originally ordered at is where the food would be dropped off at. Also I wouldn't allow random people to shout their orders at me. After I recieved everyone's order at the table and had all my seats numbered, i then asked if it was all together or separate at this time if separate checks I would get all that organized and together. Then I would inform the table that I would put their food into the system and be back for refills.
Setting boundaries of how you want to handle the table I feel like is a must. I NEVER allowed tables to walk all over me, and I made sure to train newer servers on how to deal with large groups

The problem with the pooh in trashcans is people will throw it in the cans after trash pickup and before you can get home to drag your trashcan back into your yard. So now you have multiple bags of pooh stuck to the bottom of your can. And of course rats love to eat dog pooh because of the undigested food. Now you have these busted bags of dog pooh at the bottom of your can and the thrash truck does not completely invert the can so they stay there smelling up your yard, attracting rats and flies. Until you decide one Saturday or Sunday morning to tie a bandana around your nose and mouth, put on some gloves, remove them all and then scrub your can with bleach or some other harsh chemical to get rid of the smell and flies, all while gagging and crying that, "you don't even have a dog!".

I was blessed with my Southern E. Texas Momma who did not suffer fools gladly! I'm painfully shy, but she'd stand up to anyone and "yank a knot in their tail"!
Come to think of it, the only times I DO fight back is when it's for my son. He was bullied constantly in school because he was a "special ed" student.
One day, he came home with both of his ears burned so badly there were blisters. I finally got him to tell me what happened, it was a boy on his bus who carries a lighter, and this isn't the first time he's been hurt by this brat.
My son begged me not to say anything, because the bully was in foster care and had a bad homelife. "It's not his fault that he's mean, Mom".
I'm proud of my son for being compassionate, but NO, this kid doesn't need to bring a friggin lighter to middle school!
Next day, I met the bus and told the driver what happened, and that she needs to take that lighter away. To my shock, she told me that she can't take it because it's his "personal possession".
WHAAAAT!? So if he brings a knife, or gun to school, that's okay too??
He was grinning at me, flicking the lighter, so I snatched it away from him. I told him, and the driver, "I will give this back to his parents, if they want to come talk to me". They never did, and after I told the assistant principal about how the bus driver allowed this child to burn other children on the bus with a lighter, the bratty kid was kicked off the bus. Driver was not fired, though.

@@LazyIRanchI'm so glad you got away from all that. I've lived in some pretty rough areas and still do, but hopefully one day I'll be in a better position. I'm not holding my breath though. I bet the clean air and nature must be beautiful there. 🌲

sometimes, when a mother doesn't raise their daughter right, you have to step in and teach that child yourself. I had this with my son. I asked the bullies mom to bring her kid over for a play date and she did. within five minutes I sat them both down and told them their behaviour is unacceptable, why is this going on? that is when bully mom breaks down and says she spends all her time looking after her parents ( both had dementia )and her child is acting out because she cant be there for him every time. Well, I gave her a hug, made her some food and her son, and I said I'll take her son to school for her every morning and take him for a couple of hours every night. Helped me in the long run because he kept my child happy and out of my way whilst cooking and cleaning. Mom got food for her and her family whenever I could afford it. sometime, you just need to see the bigger picture, something may be causing Agnes to act this way!

My old restaurant would put *RED FLAG* in the guest notes if there was a problem, so if they came in again, we already knew what happened the visit before.

Agnes's mom obviously is teaching her these habits. She's saying "Yeah just keep putting it off, they'll forget you owe them eventually or they won't have the nerve to keep asking." I love this fierce mama. I've already watched this video and I'm watching it again because of her. I wear cat ear headbands everywhere. Fuck with my headband I'm gonna do terrible things. 😂 Amazing mom. And those headbands are expensive.

In reference to doggy poop in bins:
I posted this in response to another comment but wanted to also say here so people know. I would walk 2 miles holding a bag of dog dookie before stinking up someone else's trash can. We don't know if they store it in their garage, if they're an older person who would have difficulty cleaning the bin, if their trash people don't take dog poop. At my old home, if it was a lone poop bag, the trash collectors would absolutely NOT take it. Like never. If someone put a poop in our trash we had to turn the bin over, get it out, and throw it away elsewhere. Yuck!
Unless you know the person and have verified it's ok to toss dog poop in their bin, just hold onto it until you find a public bin or your own bin. It sucks when there aren't a lot of public bins, but it's super rude to stink up a stranger's bin. In fact, I don't even put my dog's poop bags in my own bin. I go to a specific public dog poop bin near my home so my garage won't smell.
Also in most places in the USA (not sure about Canada), it's actually illegal and considered a misdemeanor you could be fined for to put your trash in someone else's private trash bin.

Valid points!! On top of all of that, we get charged if we have loose poop bags in our bins. I would never throw something away in someone else's bins, let alone stinky dog poop.

I hope everyone sees your comment! Where I live, we have raccoons, coyotes, and black bears. We have to keep our trash cans in our garage until trash pickup day. I don't have a dog. I don't want to smell someone else's dog's poop in my attached garage.

Schools aren't allowed to check for lice or tell anyone a kid has lice here. Like it's totally not allowed. And has been for a while. That's why I'm glad my daughter started online school in 3rd & didn't go back to in person school.

      Thank you, I was invested!
I'm a mumma of a child with huge empathy and is far too kind for this world, she's 10 now and it took a LOT to teach that girl how to say no and stand up for herself. She would literally give most of her lunch away each day because one of her friends asked for something or said they wanted something but their parents wouldn't buy them, the poor kid was coming home each day starving. Then there were the playdates where kids were asking for her brand new expensive birthday toys and she'd be like 'sure you can have it'...ahhh, no!
Even now, if she shows me something and I say I like it, she tries to give it to me...even if it's something she absolutely LOVES, she will still try and give it to me. I'm like 'no baby, it's yours, yes I like it, but it belongs to YOU.' 😭

Yeah, around where I live it's a big no no to put trash into other people's cans without asking. My neighbor put a ton of used diapers in my can and the crows got to it which scattered a bunch of diaper particles and other trash down my street. Poop is poop and sometimes you don't want other people's waste in your cans.

I'll take dog doo bags over diapers ANY day. Hell, let your dog crap all over my yard and just leave it, I won't notice because I have 2 dogs. But the diaper stink would permeate the plastic of our garbage can and I'd be stuck either smelling it every time I take my trash out, buying a new can, or using a giant bag of baking soda and letting it sit in the can with the lid on for who knows how long! (And anyone who knows me can attest to how offensive I'd find it because everyone knows that Phaedie don't do diapies! I will clean, scrub, and sanitize your cat's litter box but I absolutely will not change your human child's diaper.)

In restaurants, the Sunday lunch rush is a hell shift. In retail, Sunday afternoons are horrible. Same reason: It's the highest concentration of people who think they are better than you that you'll serve all week.
