noone is better. this is not a competition. all the guitarists, when do the jamming what they play and give is the different tone and melodic lines than the previous solo did before him. I myself appreciate them as all the outstanding guitar men in the world. how can you say Buddy Guy better than Clapton? it is something personal
Paul is the best? can you do the vai did. yes can you do the paul did. yes. I even can do that notes. but... can you what satriani did? not even any single god of guitar can easily do that. and how light how easy satriani did it.
Satch's talent stands out. Not just noodling but real music; he makes every note count. He has a blues power the others haven't got. And tremendous variety in his playing. Totally brilliant!
@@Jesman71 So many guitarists nowadays touch the strings only very lightly, which has the advantage of being able to play faster. Satch touches and attacks the strings firmly and properly, which brings out many more overtones.
@@nicoladisvevia I’ve seen Joe a couple of times. Once during the Surfing with the Alien tour., flying in a blue dream, and the extremist tour. Amazing!! I used to take lessons with his Drummer Jonathan mover probably between the first two Lp’s.
Yeah. And it may sound strange. But as an electronic music producer I see Satch knowing what catchy groove is, which is more about dance culture . Talented freek!!!
Yo at least Nita fuckin rocks out. I love Polyphia but I hate it that Tim stands still when he plays. The kids got a lesson in showmanship there. Hahaha
Paul Gilbert is really THE GOAT here as far as guitar playing is concerned. Incredibly humble about it too because technically he can play anything of theirs - but none of them can play his stuff right now. He would have to play down to their level.
I love them all, but i dont know man have you seen Polyphias stuff their guitar playing is insane. Honostly the dont really shine here but ive seen them live this year its sick.
I don't understand why alot of guys comparing them n hating on some... I love all of these guitarist n I learn from them.. They all have something different to teach. Peace out
Alexei , there are perhaps as many reasons people hate as there are people. Some are jealous. Others get comfort from their own hatred. And some people are just plain hateful. All of these guitarist on stage didn't end up there by accident. They all earned and deserve respect.
I'm not hating just laughing. I mean....Polyphia are like the marquis of this generation's elite players. Those guys are so innovative, especially Tim Henson. I am a huge fan. But those kids all missed the part where you start with the blues. They can come up with the craziest of techniques and play over crazy progressions with odd times and substitutions....but they can't play 12 bar blues for shit. It's funny. Steve, Joe and Paul are schooling these guys big-time.
I love how everyone of that big 3 have their own style. You can always tell who's playing, without looking it. Of course paul nailed it a bit harder! The guy is a monster!
You know it and I know how to get the party grove on and set the mood for fun and good times through love and life's hardships I been though to get just to here and really rock through life and give all my best of my self to help all.
Look at Paul Gilbert enjoying Joe's solo like a fan boy... Steve, Joe and PG are Gods. Nita Straus and others shredding are childish compart to the three Gods.
Satch and Paul stole the show!! I love watching Paul watch the other guys. He is SUCH A FAN...and a MASTER. He is a wonderful teacher, but you see him just absorbing the other players energy. Plus, he is rocking a tie!! lol. He is such a joy to watch. And, of course, leave it to Dave Weiner to play the only PRS on the Ibanez stage. Such a fun jam!! Killer!!!
satch rlly took the cake on this one very expressive and I love the blues influence in his playing. For me his solo was the most interesting to listen too
The best video of solos I've ever heard, pure monsters on the same stage and you can't compare any of them, each one has the same style but satriani amazes me.
i know: each one of them is league for himself, but Satch somehow always surprise me, caught me unprepared. What an awesome performance, tone and attitude...He was not boring for a second. As PG, I was geeking out all the time... 2:30
I love you Paul Gilbert 🥹❤️ algun dia espero llegar lejos en la musica y ser tan bueno como tú! Eres mi inspiración y mi idolo! Greetings from Mexico ❤️
Sorry but Joe gave em all a ass whoopin on this one.. They all knew it as well. Not many people can blend all those different styles of soloing into 1 song in one solo and still make it interesting and totally improvised. Paul Girbert was feeling it too. Very cool
Paul Gilbert has my vote. He pulls so much out of a non floating bridge and a guitar 2K less than Joe or Steve its hilarious. He always looks like a kid on a school playground playing
To each his own.If you dig some musician doesn't mean the other guy is not as good. Its just a matter of taste. Those who understand music don't compare. Each have their own styles and have created great stuff.
Satch and Steve Vai "hug" Mr Satriani just give a "punchie" to Mr Paul Gilbert" hummm. Paul Gilberts deserves a lot more, I recently check all of his work and it blow my mind, it is huge,
Paul Gilbert's improvisation is on the next level always.

Daqui de BSB eu me divirto muito mas muito mesmo. Sei lá quantas oportunidades já perdi, de estar curtindo ao vivo de verdade mesmo,,, tipo com amigos
Na hora H
Paul gilbert looks like a physics teacher
You'd think some of those solos would be hard to follow up, but Paul just jumps in with PURE confidence and it shows!
He's the best one there, well the best human one. Satch is not human.
Lol his experience is enormous. This is just a regular day for him.
Paul Gilbert sold Vai and Satriani some life insurance whilst they were jamming
Best comment hahaha🤣
I love satch...the man never plays a bad note and still rocking at 63 years old.
All notes are meaningful and deep...loving it...
Me too
Desta Vaiwira me too
You could check i stole satch's licks in almost of my playing, even it doesn't sounds like him. Lol
He's 63?! Dang son
Paul Gilbert got tons of character in his approach. All wonderful players
I salute the drummer for his stamina in accompanying their guitar solo.
Exactly!
😅😅
Paul Gilbert is damn natural guitarist. Awesome video.
How does paul gilbert manage to look both unbelievably dorky and unbelievably cool at the same time.

Paul Gilbert came from a wedding party ...
The PG solo made me want to buy a PG record. His solo was more than just shred.

PG thought he invited as the host.. he completely wrong, as he is the greatest performer on stage that night..
ALL my ibanez hero’s and heroine on one stage sharing the frequency together. This is just my kind of heaven!!
Joe Looked like he was passing by the Stage, but being a Master he could do what he wanted... His solo was purely delivered.

Paul gilbert!!! Woww! Thats guthrie’s approach! He nailed it!
