      @@dronewilder5234 I am happy to become a subscriber, yesterday I had my first flight with this drone, I love it, your videos are very inspiring.
      And I found a blood-curdling challenge, although maybe not so spectacular:
      I have a set with three batteries, which allows for about 30-40 minutes of flight. I am thinking about buying a power bank to be able to charge the batteries in the place where I fly. The manufacturer recommends using a 65 watt charger, then 3 batteries at a time charge for an hour, BUT: for one battery, a maximum of 15 watts is recommended - IF we charge without disconnecting the battery from the drone. The question is: can I charge one battery with a 65 watt power bank in a dedicated charger without damaging it? and will the charging time be reasonable, the break in flying will not be too long? A 20000mAh power bank is theoretically enough for 13 battery charges, and in my country it costs less than two batteries for DJI Neo, or a dedicated AC charger. Relatively: how many batteries do you need to have in reserve for such a rotation to make sense and for the flights to be uninterrupted?I hope that the solution to this problem will be interesting and will not result in explosions or casualties. Greetings from Poland!

    If you look at your satelite lock indicator just before the 10 minute mark in your video, you'll see that the Neo satelite lock numbers start to fluctuate rapidly, followed shortly by its erratic flight behavior drifting all over the place, almost like going into manual mode. My Neo exhibits the same behavior, and as in your video, I've had it do this multiple times. Locaion doesn't matter, my Neo has done this on take off, indoors, or as in your video at altitude in an open area where there is no reason for the loss of satelite lock due to location, or obstruction. Luckily the Neo is a tough little guy or DJI would be replacing then under DJI care frequently. My buddy grabbed mine out of the air to keep it from crashing into his car after the Neo lost satelite lock and bounced off a wall. This issue is being talked about on the DJI forum, so hopefully DJI will issue new firmware to get things fixed up.

    • @dronewilder5234
      @dronewilder5234  2 месяца назад +2

      Yeah I think there are a few bugs in it which need fixing but in fairness it’s actually a pretty complex little drone because of its wide versatility and functions so that’s to be expected. Hopefully some more updates to come soon

  • @yerigelmisken
    @yerigelmisken Месяц назад +1

    Nice test and review. My question is that if the technology support 2000m range why it is limited to 120m height? It is obvious that climbing 2000m height is safer than flying horizontaly. Because decending consumes less power than returning to home horizontally.

    • @dronewilder5234
      @dronewilder5234  Месяц назад +2

      @@yerigelmisken the vertical limit of 120m comes from the fact that in most countries, manned aircraft’s have a lower limit of 120m (400ft). So by staying under 120m we are less likely to have a chance of a collision.

      Another issue is the higher you go the windier it gets and this is one drone you don't want to hit high winds with. You might get away with it in manual mode though with the other transmitters it most likely would get flipped over. A few days ago there was no wind at all though I was getting wind warnings at 100m

    • @yerigelmisken
      @yerigelmisken Месяц назад +1

      @@FiidoRider That is reasonable as well. I add another point. Neo using optical stabilisation. No gps. And i noticed that in the high altitude optical stabilisation doesn't work that accurate. It moves uncontrolled.

    • @FiidoRider
      @FiidoRider Месяц назад

      @yerigelmisken yeah I noticed it becomes a little unstable with height. Almost like it's balancing on a tightrope. Night flights it's not a fan of either though it makes up for it with follow modes and being so compact. Hopefully more speed in sport mode with the next update

  • @RFC3514
    @RFC3514 8 дней назад

    6:03 - Why would it be "screwed"? The batteries have protection circuits, they'll never discharge to the point of causing damage. What appears as "0%" on the interface is likely around 3.2 or 3.0 volts, they'll simply shut down shortly after that, and the cells themselves should be fine down to 2.4 volts or so.
    Also, when you say "that's the lowest I've ever taken a drone battery", surely you mean "that's the lowest _my anonymous pilot friend_ has ever taken a drone battery", right? Right? 🤨🥸

      @@cre8tivity06 definitely don’t make a habit of it. So the battery life - 8-11 mins is what you can expect in normal flying and not depleting the battery to 0. if you fly very carefully, perfect conditions and draining the battery to 0, 13+ minutes should be possible. 18 would be a struggle but maybe not impossible.

    I read somewhere DJI does not recommend going full throttle all the time for the NEO. Seeing the little thing fighting for power in the end in FPV mode makes me wonder if the motors did overheat? Or the high power drain on the battery caused some other system to go into "emergency mode"? Would be interesting if there are some log files that could be looked at...great video, subscribed. Cheers from Berlin

    • @dronewilder5234
      @dronewilder5234  2 месяца назад +4

      Thanks und danke fürs sub! I think you’re spot on there in that the continuous high throttle causes issues. My guess is that it’s a voltage sag - anyone flying tinywhoops will recognise the exact same behaviour when you run lipos too low. In the same way this issue here happens when the battery is in its last 20% where voltage will always be prone to sag the most. On inherently underpowered drones like this you then get that yaw spin as seen. As you say, dji do warn against this kind of flying though so it can’t really be held against the Neo. Thanks again for your support!

    This drone is great. Unlocking its potential, following the mtb guys has been a breeze. Yeah, it can't fly in much more than a breeze, but neither can any 3-inch rig. Being a rider myself growing up, you dont ride big jumps with wind about. All my footage on yt on this account has been with a 5inch freestyle film rig, and even though I know what Im doing, the riders feel a lot more confident flying around with this near them while i a km away sometimes.
