The tie-ins really made this omnibus great. I went into it wanting to get into guardians of the galaxy but left wanting more Nova and Silver Surfer

Sweet review! I own a few key pages from the main book- and whish I'd bought more back when I got mine. I love this story so damn much.
I had the pleasure of speaking with Keith Giffen several years ago about Annihilation at a convention and he was great to talk to- it's an amazing story of how it was made sorta under the radar- as Marvel's editorial was focused on Civil War. It let the Annihilation guys have a free hand to get pretty crazy and do things like ripping out Thanos' heart and tearing off the Surfer's leg!
It also gave a bunch of new artists a chance to step up and be seen - particularly Andrea DiVito (who's art I own).

Yeah annihilation was wild I thoroughly enjoyed it! It feels like they were given a lot of creative freedom here and wow did it make me care more about some lesser known Marvel Cosmic characters 👏💯

@@TheComicBookReport Yeah, I have Marvel cosmic art up all over my house- look my up at comic art fans to see it all. From Annihilation, I have the Moondragon Nova file, the pages where Ronan breaks his hammer on Ravenous' FACE and a sweet commission from Andrea DiVito of Nova fighting Annihilus.
I'm kinda a huge Annihilation fan. Giffen actually wanted even even more obscure characters in the book- Rocket Raccoon and Groot in particular, but editorial thought it was already too much. Abnett and Planning took them and made them part of Annihilation Conquest anyway and now they sell billions in movies and merchandise.
Shows how much editorial knows, right?
