10:14 Those texts are clearly labeled as "Incoming" like others mentioned. Those messages were sent TO his phone from a group text. What an appalling and slimy tactic used by the defense team. I'm just shocked no one else in the courtroom caught that.
I think the messages were extracted from the receiver of those texts as someone else mentioned, hence the direction is incoming.

During the trial, some of the participants numbers were exposed while being live redacted (hence why it's all cut off here).
2 (or 3?) Columns to the left, you can actually see which phone record it was pulled from, which was redacted and labeled with a bright red and bold "Him" for JD. Which is why Rottenborn said this: 7:47

All of those texts are INCOMING, NOT OUTGOING! Depp is right. Who wrote these? If he texted them, they would be outgoing, not coming to him. Plus, Depp has never referenced drugs as anything other than what they are. Why does he call ecstasy -E or MDMA in one other text but now call it Molly ( a term used by young people)?
And he talks poetic sometimes. Sometimes can be dark. But still that doesn't sound like how he talks. Things he's already admitted to.
Amber probably sent them while he was passed out. Fabricating more 'evidence' for her case lol.
On the other hand, perhaps they say INCOMING because the texts were derived from the RECEIVERS phone.. I didn't hear the part that these came specifically off Depps phone unless I missed that part. Which is possible because let's be honest there are parts of this trial that are prettttty boring and I would tend to trail off lol

This has happened to me where I didn’t realize my crazy ex got into my phone while I was inebriated and sent things to people that I wasn’t aware of. My clever ex made sure the messages were sent before deleting them on my phone so that the receiver will see them but I won’t. People had to send me screen shots for me to believe it.
It says "incoming", not "outgoing", like the other messages, so JD has RECEIVED, but NOT SENT them!!!!! (Please like to draw attention to that comment, so that this information will find a way to his lawyers!)

I am a little upset with Depp's legal team here. They didn't point out that the messages were incoming & therefore he didn't sent them. They also didn't ask where that aggressive quote came from which they used as evidence against JD, without even mentioning where he was heard saying that quote. Because it was from a magazine that was published 25years+ ago. He didn't say these things about Heard. Johnny's team messed up big time.

@@happytrading6857 in the trial, Rottenborn states those texts are FROM Johnny to Mr. Deuter. If those are Johnny's text messages it would NOT say "incoming". Incoming means it is a message incoming to Johnny's device.

Someone on twitter commented that the texts he denied sending were marked as (incoming), while the other messages were (outgoing). So he received these explicit messages on his device, he didn't send it. I hope this is pointed out in court some how.

@notThatBad411 if you look at both exhibits, look to the left. In the rant to Carino you’ll see it says “Participants” Depp’s number is redacted, but Heard’s lawyers marked it as him, beneath that in parentheses it says “owner” meaning it’s his phone.
Then look at the messages between him and Deuter, it’s exactly the same.
A member of my family was an officer of the court for many years, and often said that divorces were the most filthy and lie ridden he had ever known. Heard is despicable. Her lawyers are worse.

If you look at the text at 9:59, it says incoming meaning that Johnny didn’t send it but received it. Also, the quote about him using violence is from a magazine from 1995, so 27 YEARS OLD.
What difference does it make if the magazine is old?
Because people can change over time. They can express regret, remorse etc. I'm not saying Depp did. But that's why it matters.

Yes, it does. All the others have been saying Outgoing. And this is the only time Johnny has been adamant that he hasn't sent a message. I hope they fix before they reach a verdict because that was shady of Amber's team if it was intentional.
No because they could have been taken from Stephen Deuters’ phone or one of Depp’s other phones. If Depp has multiple phone numbers in a group chat with Stephen Deuters (and it looks like there are multiple numbers attatched to the name “him” - then Depp’s own message will be incoming on one of his other phones or Stephen’s.

just to be sure I went and checked on skynews livestream where they showed full-screen texts both of Johnny writing about Amber calling her a fish market lol which he admitted he wrote and this other text about that Molly person which he denies writing. it clearly says "outgoing" on one and "incoming" on the other. the owner is the same ending with -him which means all the records are pulled from Johnny's phone. it's crazy they didn't notice that
The jury will have these emails to look at, and when they find out AH's team was lying about the texts, I think it will come back to bite them. Rottenborn's attitude already ran the risk of alienating the jury and making JD sympathetic.

The text was INCOMING to JD’s phone. He was the receiver of the text from a group text. This has been totally misrepresented to influence the jury by AH’s lawyer, Rottenborn.

Nope, he certainly didn't win mine, in fact quite the opposite. Prior to this I had been only vaguely aware of some of his problematic behaviors. Now, having followed the trial, I grew to dislike him immensely, even if the allegations of domestic violence are false. I do wish him well, but they deserved each other.

He knows he didn’t write those texts and, in real time, is trying to figure out how they got there. But nobody took his phone and wrote those texts. Those texts were incoming from Stephen Deuters. Everyone in the courtroom missed the fact that those texts said “incoming” not “outgoing” like the rest of the texts he took responsibility for. I sure hope his team catches that in time for closing arguments!

No guys, these messages are taken from Stephen Deuters' phone (who was Johnny's assistant). To Stephen they're incoming whilst Johnny is the sender

This is consistent across all text message records that were produced by Johnny, he's always listed as "owner" (as in owner of the phone). The difference is that when they show messages sent by him the direction is "outgoing", not "incoming".

No he's actually telling the truth poor guy. If you look at the evidence AH lawyers provide the lengthy text he sent and and admitted to say outgoing meaning they were sent by him. The messages that he denies sending about molly or whatever say incoming meaning actually someone sent them to him. They also zoomed into the original evidence document so him and the jury wouldn't see that the incoming messages he denied sending said READ and the one he admitted to sending said delivered. AH lawyers are playing a dirty game and JDs lawyers didn't catch it.
