My 07 S60 is worth about £1500. I have to rely on 2nd hand parts otherwise I would have to trade it in . The last one was a high pressure fuel pump I bought from a breakers yard on eBay for £50 when a new one was £500 .
My S80 sounds like it got hit with a sledgehammer every time I run over small bumps in the road. It’s a 2002, so I’m sure every bit of rubber on any part of the suspension is dry rotted and failed. It’s hard justify spending the money to fix it when I know it probably worth under $800.
RJ JT push the engine back and forward in the bay by hand. If its very easy to move they couls peobabky do with changing. If its quite steady (but still moves under revving of the engine) it may be ok. Mine was so bad you could see the central bolt just rattling around within the upper bush when pushing the engine. I think there are 2 different types of bush (circular and square) depending on year of thr vehicle. And i think the later ones can be fitted to earlier ones to make them more reliable

Forgot to mention weak intercoolers,SAS,SWM,legendary injector problems..once this car starts braking down ...scrap it!It is the worst car iv owned..i still have it tho
Wrong. You need to do proper maintenance. Volvos dont have injector problems. Nothing wrong with the stock intercooler. There are bigger and better ones out there.
I've literally done all of those jobs aside from the fuel door latch 😂😂 from just owning P2s throughout the years

You guys should add the steering sensor too the list. So many people have the anti skid code.

my two S80 2.5T makes short squeak sound when applying the hand brake... makes people turn around to look where the sound comes from
YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP BEFORE YOU ACTIVATE THE PARKING BRAKE. IT CAN'T SQUEAK IF IT ISNT MOVING.

If they look bad or you can move them by hand... (I need a new bushing for the upper mount bc it's not really doing anything)😂
