EPIC UPPER BODY WORKOUT - Powerful Push & Pull | EPIC III Day 2

  • Day 2 and we are 100% going to target those shoulders, back, chest, biceps and triceps with dumbbells and some bodyweight exercises with as always, a focus on the control to intensify the workout to promote strength gains and hypertrophy!
    The timer will be on throughout this entire workout for 40 seconds each exercise and 20 seconds rest!
    Every exercise will be performed for 2 sets apart from the push up variations! Those will be performed for only the 1 set!
    For this workout, you will simply need a pair of dumbbells and your mat!
    I am using 2 pairs of dumbbells, the heavier being 17.5kg each and the lighter pair is 8kg.

    Yes! By the time we reach the curls, our arms will have to fight for each rep!
    Maintain good form towards the end and if it means pausing that’s fine! I definitely paused to make perfect reps instead of using momentum to push through!

    I really appreciate the movements using a different weight being grouped together, because I only have a pair of changeable weights and it makes it so much easier to only have to change them over once a workout!

    This must be the killer upper body workout that Caroline mentioned in her QandA video! It certainly looks like a killer...all our favourite upper body exercises are here and plenty of push ups mixed in throughout! I can’t wait to do it!     Hi Caroline and everyone...just finished...what a fantastic upper body workout! I used my band...I have a purple one just like yours Caroline...which is hard...and my 8 kg dumbbells!     Just finished and absolutely loved this workout - the time went so quickly. Yesterday was tougher - leg days always are for me. Superb colour of Caroline's outfit and the flowers of course. So much attention to detail and I really appreciate all the time and effort that goes into producing these programmes.

      I agree the y'day's leg workout killed mee.. my legs are still sore... Today's workout was soo engaging. I found myself yelling 'Haa' 'Oohh' 'Yaaa' 'Bhadra you can do it', and all of that screaming actually helped me further 😂 😂 So grateful to Caroline for designing such a badass program, much love ❤️❤️

    I love the combination of dumbell exercises with variations of push ups, makes the workout much more interesting and felling the burn in all upper body muscles. It was pure joy to end this workout and push myself to the end, i'm pretty sure that is my fav upper body workouts from all of CG epics.

    I absolutely loved leg workout yesterday.. It was fun doing it even though intense.. Can't wait to do this upper body workout today..     I'd like to thank all for the bombastic supports and warm embrace after my heartbroken being cheated by my bf experience! Yesterday my comment was so full of supportive people I was moved to tears I read evey single comment😭😭😭😭😭
    Yesterday I've done LEG DAY + TOTAL QUADS + BRACED CORE , did the optional workouts as I kept in my oath, was so absolutely fantastic , nver felt so light and energetic before!
    Day 2 of not giving up and will continue to do this pushup practice along with the optional workouts as well 🤝🤝☺☺☺
    Let's give each other a lift and support/accountable daily to smash EPIC III till the end while I'm healing from my heartache🥰🥰

    Today I'm going in person for my classes for the first time in 18 months which will be a big adjustment, hopefully I can squeeze this workout in in the afternoon. Yesterday's workout was amazing, the staple destroyed my legs! I'm really looking forward to today's workout, good luck everyone!!

      C'est vrai elle est super je la suis depuis un petit moment . Je fais de la muscu tous les jours avec elle mais je mets moins lourd car c est une warrior!! Et je n est pas son âge 66 ans !! C est sympa de trouver une compatriote .

      Je n'ai jamais fait un programme Epic au complet, seulement des vidéos par ci par là selon les groupes de muscles que je voulais travailler, mais ça fait un petit moment que je la suiset elle est incroyable alors je vais tenter l'expérience de suivre un programme en entier! Bon succès! 👍😁

Kept it interesting and challenging, while still targeting those similar muscle groups (admittedly did struggle to do some of them, but that is part of the fun)!     Done with 17.5kg and 7.5kg dumbbells... that was hard work! 💪🏼🔥 Also I really like how dark and intense the music is in this one; it suits the brutal nature of Caroline's workouts very nicely!
    Now to destroy what's left of my biceps with the 15 minute add-on 👍🏼

    No words will do this justice 😍 but I will try 😂
    Used 20 &10 kg DBs but once again it the bodyweights, in this case pushups that are the killer.
    Flows so perfectly from Back to Chest to Shoulders and then Triceps and Biceps.
    The final Rep Out on the pushups is so much fun and managed 42 nice ones.
    The upperbody pump after this session is phenomenal and again the feel good factor during and after is something else. This really lifted my spirits today and I'm so thankful to Caroline for this great workout 🙏

    What a fantastic killer workout! Loved it! 😍 Really enjoyed the pushups throughout..even when my arms were dead😆. My favorite was the deadstop pushup to superman. The finisher was perfect🤩. Upper body fully worked! Loved how we targeted things in sets of 3! Thanks Caroline! See you and everyone tomorrow. Epic lll has been awesome so far!😊

    I m one EPIC program behind everyone else, just started III and loving it already.
    What works for me is having a routine and something structured to follow, needless to say that Caroline is so good and such an inspiration, if I could be even just 10% more like her I would be the happiest girl on the planet.

    I just love seeing the progress from Epic 1 to now! I started with 5 and 10 lb weights and 5 push-ups to now 15 and 20 lb and 10 push ups per round!!! Thank you Caroline! Its so much easier to lift my babies up and down the stairs!

    Day 2 and this series is already living up to its name! 🔥 My legs are insanely sore from yesterday and I imagine my arms will feel the same in the morning. 💪🏽
    Caroline! When you came close to the camera, during those hammer curls; it was like you LITERALLY stepped into my living room. I felt like I was training with you in person. ☺️
    Not sure if you intended to do that, but it worked and changed the rest of my workout for the better.

    That was FIRE!! And amazing fun of course! Loved the push up staple (the rep it out finisher- not that much, hahaha). Yay for using my 10kg and 7.5kg (...and a bit of my 5kg at the end, as my muscles were shot)- a world of difference from my 4kg-5kg I used for upper body when I first started with Caroline in April. A testament of how effective- but most of all, empowering CG's workouts are! Thank you so much for offering this incredible content for free!

    That was a really great solid session. Enjoyed it to the last bit.
    I upped my weights to match yours. Manageable except for the pullovers.. That went not so smoothly.
    I got better depth with the diamond pushups and my indurance improved, so by the end of the workout I managed to squweeze in 19 pushups..

    I just loved how each push up was like a mini burn out for the exercises beforehand 🔥 I wondered how is it possible that upper body workouts create so much sweat, but then I am doing a CG workout so expect the unexpected 😅🤣🤩

    It’s interesting to see the comments on the music. So varied. Personally, I’m enjoying whatever Caroline attaches to her videos. Since the beginning of Epics, the music choices are all new to me and I am enjoying being exposed to different sounds and artists.

    That was a great burn! Loved that one. Admittedly, had been a bit nervous when push ups were in the title as I think I am still haunted by Epic Heat day 48 but I smashed them and finally mastered the dolphin pushup! A great feeling to start my day. I do miss singing along to her music, but am loving everything else so far in Epic 3!

    What I’m loving about this series is how slow and controlled all the movements are. Caroline does everything at a sustainable pace. At first I thought, shoot, I can do this faster….boy that was a mistake! Caroline’s pace is perfect to follow along with and I don’t feel like I’m rushing things and can still keep up by the end of the countdown. After completing this I can already feel my muscles getting bigger 💪💪

      Push ups too hard? Drop down to your knees and do them. Still get the big upper body push but they're a lot easier.

    Enjoyed Day 1 esp. the Burnout. Day 2 will be the same for Sure. Upperbody ready to work hard. We GOT this! Have a Great Workout! 😆👊
    Had So Much Fun! Shoulders and Arms were on 🔥! When it was time for the Skull crushers arms were shaking. Had a good laugh at the last parts as I was struggling to lift my arms with the curls. Couldn't do the add-on bec. Arms are gone after that finisher. Feeling Awesome after!

    Good morning Caroline that was a challenge, and I used 6kg for the “wide to narrow” curls🤔 The push ups, least said! Feel amazing though! You really are super at the variety, timing etc, Wo do that you keep it “real” for us and therefore doable!     As a DJ, I'm liking the music selection. (but that's just my taste). Also, the new graphics and branding; esp the black and white overlay for the rest periods where I can just quick glance at the screen to know where I'm at between rest and work.
