Recently played a game as Muscovy --- Russia, I did so well that now I think it's the strongest nation in the game, especially with the new Russian Empire missions
Nice I do something similar in my normal muscovy runs, I always make Moscow a 40+ Dev from concentrating. It's way better to have Dev in the capital with zero gov cost and correct culture and religion early on. Until I can form Russia and state a lot of land the capital state stays my main source of income
Very nice. I'd still wait on assigning priveleges to the estates until after your first war for maximum crownland gain. Edit: In your trade strategy section, it's actually a really, really, REALLY good idea to conquer into and subsequently dominate the baltic for two major reasons: 1. It protects you main node Novgorod from countries who are looking to steal trade from you essentially turning it into a defacto end node when combined with white sea dominance. 2. If you move your capital in one of the western regions, it allows you to turn everything upstream in the eastern region into trade companies which is HUGE. We're talking up to 6 "free" merchants you normally wouldn't have access to generated from trade regions that eventuallyfeed into Novgorod on top of all the trade company money generating bonuses.
Yes, that’s true. What I was trying to say is expanding into the Baltic in the early game is not very profitable, but it definitely is in the mid game. Probably should’ve mentioned that. And yeah, I did move the capital to Finland at the end, for those sweet-sweet trade companies.
You can also move the capital to Kola around 1450. The cost is 288 admin, which is fine compared to trade companies and extra mechants attained ASAP @@theeu4guy
The pie chart isnt how much control each estate has of your lands. Its more how much of your land that you control divided between estates. Press the seize land option in your estates tab to take more crown land.
If the influence of your estates is too high, then taking land won't give you crown land. And you're forced to rely on the seize land estate interaction.
I like the visuals you added. Makes the video easier to follow and it looks nice.
Thanks! Very comprehensive guide :)
Thank u for the words of encouragement. This video took forever to make, so I’m glad you enjoyed it :))

For some reason taking the providences does not increase the crown lands
