Great :) I wish, you will read optical data from electric meter. I just setup on grid solar energy on my roof. And i want to follow up the electric meter😂
I succesfully compiled and ran rtlamr on a raspberry pi. No data received so far, since gas and water meters at my condo building are analog. Power meters are digital, but they seem to use a power-line communication system (PLC) which by the way is a terrible source of RF interference on the HF bands😓
Power line communication is the worst for our RF bands for sure! With your antenna make sure it's not too big, this is all 900mhz ISM band so a larger antenna is actually going to make reception harder. Tune the antenna if it isn't already and see if that helps.
Super cool! Any idea if it can run on a raspberry pi/Linux computer? Either way I'll save this and come back to it, because when I replace my phone I'm switching to android
Looks interesting, But..How do I set this up in Windows ?? As you show using Windows 10.. (I can't find a compiled version in the zip) or am I looking in the Wrong Spot (I don't see any RtlAmr.exe. file)..??
@@SignalsEverywhere Thanks ... That's Half the Battle.. (Copied All the RTLSDR.dll and RTL_TCP.dll) 64bit zip ones. to the same folder ... Now all I just need to do is figure out (How to make it .go.) no pun intended.. (So.. I'll Give you two ❤❤ ).. But .. No Kiss just yet. 🤯❓
@@SignalsEverywhere That would be nice 👍🙂 (I can handle a Batch File) and have Enough knowledge regarding command switches... (No clue about "go") so.. (Hopefully it can be optional).. Plus it's late 2 AM.. Time for a Sandwich.. And Bed.. 💋💋
Hi, on water or gas meters will the message contain battery voltage? Ive always been curious if theres a way to see if a meter is low on voltage and not reading correctly.
@@SignalsEverywhere you cant, unless you invent and sell a device that does is with the press of a button. a that point, the problem here seems to be more about being scared about doing that (wich many peoples are about code) or the access to the device. convincing peoples to "do the step" is always the most difficult.
YOURE BACK
I'm trying :)
Awesome to see you back! Great stuff!
Thank you, it's good to be back

I'm interested, just need to get my hands on more gear so I can build the necessary tools
That was super interesting Sarah, thanks!
Thanks for watching Chris! Good to have you here.
@@SignalsEverywhere It's good to have YOU here! I was worried for awhile.
@@chriholt Things were rough for a while, but I'm finally taking care of myself again.
OMFG --> SHES BACK !!!!!
Glad to see you here again 🤘🤘🤘🤘
You can also put a small video camera on the camera box and monitor the values.😆
Well that's not in the spirit of radio now is it?

You can absolutely run it from a raspberry pi or other Linux machine. Remotely it does not have to be local
Yaaaaaay a new video!
Landis+Gr Focus axr-SD?

Here is the windows release compiled: github.com/bemasher/rtlamr/releases/download/v0.9.1/rtlamr_windows_amd64.zip

@x_CrossHair_x maybe I can do a windows tutorial in the future if you're still having issues

No, they run off mains
@SignalsEverywhere on gas meters too?
@@vinceparker2888 that' I'm unsure of
I like it but could never do it.
How can I make it easier?
