I'm old and don't sleep as well as I used too so I'm a little late in replying. Your original statement "Eat the Rich" was a t-shirt and a slogan of the radical left music scene back in the 60s+70s the gist of which was they were only useful as food for the poor. I not arguing but mostly agreeing with you. Today a lot of people have abdicated their responsibilities as citizens to at least try to change the world for the better to become passive drones who rage online and think they are part of the process. Yet Citizens United and other bullshit legislation have severely limited their actual ability to change things. Although the new prevalence of video cameras everywhere has proven to be a positive thing in showing in full detail what is really going on. The unfortunate side effect is people will film horrible things happening but not step in to help.

However, notifications are not selective, so I get alerts for activity etc; thus t saw your opening line, opened your reply and was drawn in. So, here I am replying. I also suffer chronic sleep pattern disturbances, i.e.,. I was wide awake last night and most of this AM, then fell into deep sleep, and am just now having my 1st cup of coffee so I don't fall back asleep and end up awake in the middle of the night, coz I have things which must be done Tue AM.. If you suffer sleep disturbances, then you're probably aware of the many various effects that has on the body and mind, i.e., to be awake in the morning after being awake all night is not the same as waking in the morning from a proper night's sleep. Two things, since adolescence, Ive been a "night owl" and I've mostly worked 2nd shift and primarily dinner/night shifts as an F&B professional. Add a severe illness, top that off with accident injuries, and then add in some heavy- duty meds --some of which invoked or caused chronic sleep disturbances which apparently I'm stuck with for life (all these things occurred over the course of one very bad year). So much for my quasi-insomnia--quasi-narcolepsy-sleep pattern disturbances and such, for now. I will return to this post and make further replies to you, but for now, the coffee is calling. Ciao.

Fast forward six years and HBO only allows a couple minute video's of Real Time on RUclips.

I'm old and don't sleep as well as I used too so I'm a little late in replying. Your original statement "Eat the Rich" was a t-shirt and a slogan of the radical left music scene back in the 60s+70s the gist of which was they were only useful as food for the poor. I not arguing but mostly agreeing with you. Today a lot of people have abdicated their responsibilities as citizens to at least try to change the world for the better to become passive drones who rage online and think they are part of the process. Yet Citizens United and other bullshit legislation have severely limited their actual ability to change things. Although the new prevalence of video cameras everywhere has proven to be a positive thing in showing in full detail what is really going on. The unfortunate side effect is people will film horrible things happening but not step in to help.

I remember the '60s and at least half of the '50s to boot. Here I am making a liar of myself again, as I make my 2nd reply after saying I won't be drawn in... to whatever. However, notifications are not selective, so I get alerts for activity etc; thus t saw your opening line, opened your reply and was drawn in. So, here I am replying. I also suffer chronic sleep pattern disturbances, i.e.,. I was wide awake last night and most of this AM, then fell into deep sleep, and am just now having my 1st cup of coffee so I don't fall back asleep and end up awake in the middle of the night, coz I have things which must be done Tue AM.. If you suffer sleep disturbances, then you're probably aware of the many various effects that has on the body and mind, i.e., to be awake in the morning after being awake all night is not the same as waking in the morning from a proper night's sleep. Two things, since adolescence, Ive been a "night owl" and I've mostly worked 2nd shift and primarily dinner/night shifts as an F&B professional.
Add a severe illness, top that off with accident injuries, and then add in some heavy- duty meds --some of which invoked or caused chronic sleep disturbances which apparently I'm stuck with for life (all these things occurred over the course of one very bad year). So much for my quasi-insomnia--quasi-narcolepsy-sleep pattern disturbances and such, for now.
I will return to this post and make further replies to you, but for now, the coffee is calling. Ciao.

i kind of liked the hobo costume, but it seems both the critics of the costume and bill maher don't quite understand what a hobo is. a hobo is not a bum, as in a lazy person who refuses to work. a hobo is a traveling worker, who tends to train hop from one location to another to look for work. there is even a hobo convention every year in iowa.
