One thing that Jordan does in interview is brilliant. When he is about to make an extended point, he will say something like "..and you can tell me what you make of this..." It’s actually a REALLY bad habit Dr Peterson has. When he says “and you can tell what you think of this” it’s him showing self consciousness about the fact that he knows he should ask a question or stop talking.
He’s self aware enough to know he’s being a bad conversationist, but he doesn’t have the humility self control to actually stop.

Two gentlemen, wildly different lives, lifestyles, and viewpoints, and still manage to make jokes and be friends. This is how we learn to live together in peace. By realizing that not everyone will share your views on how to live, and that's perfectly ok. It's ultimately what our country is about. Freedom to live how you want. And when we disagree we realize that the most important thing is not who's right, but how we treat each other. These two have EARNED the definition of gentlemen.

The positive use of the term "gentlemen" is lost in our current generation. A true gentleman was manly. yet well mannered and well read. Many men of my generation strove to embody those ideal. If you would like to witness, firsthand, the state of manners and civility in the U.S., Go to a Wal-Mart on a Saturday and cut ahead of someone in line.
What we witnessed on this podcast is an excellent example of two gentlemen having a relaxing conversation on topics that demand an extensive knowledge base. This dialog is a good model for our young men to aspire toward. For many young men, it would be a brilliant choice.

Jordan with Haight or Weinstein or Murray is always great. But Jordan with someone like Maher is incredible because we get to see him so very subtly try to meet the need Maher has. Jordan's ever so gently providing therapeutic insight. You can even hear it in his voice when Jordan says, 'Well, Bill, you know this,' making it easier for Maher to accept something he doesn't want to accept.

Then Jordan says he’s never lost passion for his wife, and he embraces her in total love all of the time… then there’s an awkward pause… I think that’s one of the most wholesome conversations I’ve ever seen between a contrast of people. An XX who has been with lots of partners has lost the ability to pair bond which would make seggs more than just an animal act. Since men don't bond with the same hormones, the same effect doesn't apply to us.

It was a little sad too, to hear Bill not being able to develop a long term relationship with a partner other than friends just because of "lack of novelty", I'm not saying that single life is bad, just mentioning that his reasoning was very much superficial.

You can always tell when Bill likes the conversation. This interview went almost 2 hours, most of the ones I've seen lately were about an hour or a hair more.

A case study on how interviews/discussions should be-- You let your guest talk. You don't try to one up, look for gotcha moments or other nonsense. You just talk, listen and see where the conversation goes. This was great.

You were either high, or watching a completely different interview. Bill Maher was CONSTANTLY interrupting JBP and didn't let him complete a single thought. It got so bad that at 1:06:45 he actually rubs his face in frustration. If you want to see what a REAL interview of JBP looks like with a prepared interviewer who's actually done his research, watch this masterpiece: ruclips.net/video/E6qBxn_hFDQ/видео.html - Jordan Peterson's Philosophy of "How to be in the World" distilled down to its 5 strongest points.

Well done, this is a beautiful display of respectfully sharing knowledge with out allowing personal emotions to dictate the story. I want to highlight this Bill, despite your emotions and view point on the Bible, your respect for Jordan allowed for information to be shared and reflected on. Jordon, your insight to peoples responses and positioning yourself with such skill when sharing is amazing to watch. I have watched so many debates on different topics and its sad that the goal of the debate is seen as a competition of who's best rather then growing in collaboration :)
