That's because Piers is polite, and not as won to show annoyance as American guests. Gaffigan... ooh that was painful. I don't think Maher will be visiting him anytime soon in NY. Not because of differences in opinion, but because Maher never shuts up and lets people finish their sentence. Has he been diagnosed with adhd or is it just the pot and booze that numbs his perception of a back and forth?
Bill, please never stop. These conversations are so much needed. Society has been so politicized and polarized, that theres no rationality. You transmit the rationality we need through humor and understanding. Not only was this episode enjoyable, but Piers was so likeable lol!
Loved this. 9 minutes in and discussing pub culture. Last time I was in England, I arrived around 8:30pm, ordered dinner and a glass of wine at my hotel. I asked if I could take the remaining glass up to my room with my meal. The manager said "the glass? You could take the whole bottle!" I said "Oh, well that would just be pathetic." He replied "No, that would just be British!" 😄
But they start too many fights, can’t handle their liquor. Probably because they hold back expression so much in general as Anglo Saxons, so it all comes out with the booze.
I used to watch Bill with my dad on Politically Incorrect. If he was on and I was up, I would catch the HBO show but I never watched it religiously but I still enjoyed every episode I did watch. Really?? When Bill started the Meagan and Oprah thing and referred to the Queen as "an old bag", Piers cut him off and they ended up going down a completely different path and never got back to the original topic. They started talking about "your majesty", garden parties, and pubs. But I get it. Bill cut him off a bunch of times. Piers almost couldn't finish the Simone Biles discussion.
I thought he was right to cut Bill off. It was a flippant comment. Like or hate the royals the Queen has taken her duty seriously. They could have left the country in WWII to go to Canada for safety and they stayed. I think Piers was just respecting the history and Bill calling her an old bag was a lazy joke. Likewise I thought Piers was out of line with Simone Biles and he got called out by Bill. I thought it was just an honest conversation. I enjoyed it.

Kudos to Piers for sticking up for the Queen. Bill just doesn't understand that the Queen, regardless of the absurdity of royal families, is a beloved symbol of British solidarity who has served her country with dignity and class for over 70 years. The Queen has earned the respect of the British people and they love her like their own grandmother. After her though, all bets are off.
I disagree. Charles has been quietly working to preserve the environment and champion the arts for decades. He was pushing for organic farming long before anyone used that term in normal conversation. He has a lot to offer.
Neither of those statements are true. Most British people don't have a strong opinion on royalty either way, they've just always been there, and most people like tradition.
Dear Bill, I have watched your real time show for many years and for the last few years watched it less and less because I was getting bored with it. This Club Random is simply great! Keep up the good work.
He never went to the far right prove to me that he want there and I'll change my mind. The most right he ever went is when he apologized for calling himself "a house nigger".
"This is what happens to successful civilizations" . Wow. That's pretty terrifying. We get so comfy and soft and privileged, that it all begins to slip away.
I love this pod interview, diversity in opinion is so important. We can love each other, respect each other, and still disagree. That’s how it was when I was young but in my early 20’s, (early 2000’s), things began to change. it’s driving this horrible environment of “cancel culture” and it’s dividing us in extreme ways. I disagree will Bill on some of his statements/opinions but, I respect where he’s coming from. Anyways, Luv this pod!
Thank you [Piers] for calling upon Bill to respectfully speak of Her Magesty, the Queen. Thank you {Bill} for being open and understanding. This is RESPECT "in action" and it's refreshing!
Piers comes across really well in this, but he still faked stories about British soldiers in Iraq and phone tapped grieving parents. To me he will never overcome that
I'm glad you started doing a podcast bill. This is sure to attract the younger audience. Your viewpoint and there's are important, and we need more of these conversations these days.

Marla, this is what you'd find in 90% of the people you think you disagree with if you were able to observe them or speak to them outside of the MSM narrative. This is how life used to be before social media made it so easy to criticize and hate on anyone who might not agree with you.
My initial reaction was one of hesitation, not being a P.M fan; but what a fascinating conversation. Piers is far more relaxed and relatable in this setting. Bill, you really need to get him back on a later episode for part 2 and give the guy a cookie - that I'd like to see Piers Morgan stoned 🤔🍻🎉
Oddly enough, considering the guest (and how little personal rapport you were likely to have), this was your best one so far. I don’t understand why it’s so short, and clearly edited in places. I’d’ve liked to see the whole thing. And why did you end it so suddenly mid-conversation?
I really like this format I like the length of your conversations I like the diversity of your conversations and many of the people that you have had thus far keep doing this much appreciate it
Well, what can I say? A lot! Terrific show. This is what has been missing for years. A place where we talk, we discuss, we permit one another to express ourselves in good humor and light rudeness with a drink or other stimulant / drug, and appreciate the conversation and debate in a humane manner with an open mind, and where you check your PC'ness at the door with your umbrella. The only thing missing, is the ability to jump into the screen and "actively" join in and sit around the table and joyously blab away the evening with Bill and his guest (Piers Morgan). Wait I'll get my wine! Cheers!
Bill, My significant other has been a Beatles fan most of his life. I didn't get it. We're both born in the early 70's but my parents were Elvis fans. The Beatles were "long haired hippies". I watched Get Back with him and was mesmerized. Everything you said about the musicianship...actually watching them create songs that I didn't even know were Beatles songs at the time, changed everything for me. Anyone who loves music should watch Get Back. I've never been a fan of RealTime, but this show is awesome. Thanks.
This was a lot of fun. Wished it was longer and they had actually circled back and finished a few talking points..they got side tracked a lot, but still a good conversation. I'm a big fan of Piers Morgan's no nonsense attitude.
I love this shit. It’s good to get a sense of the human element of these big stars without all the over production and formality that makes these people seem un-relatable in those big network television shows. Keep up the good work Bill, love the random dialogue.
I am a liberal and I like Piers Morgan and Bill Maher. I think we are too sensitive now a days. I think it is so important to talk about mental health but what makes me angry is that all these celebrities that promote therapy don’t realize how expensive it is (even with insurance). Why don’t they try and do something to actually help people get that help?
Therapy does help immensely, especially for guys, from my own personal experience. But I agree that it’s something people not only have to have equal access to, but really put their own work into the process.
I agree with Piers Morgan, you should NEVER speak of our Majesty the Queen with such disrespect ; she was the epitome of dignity and unwavering service ; she deserves absolute respect for dedicating her life to the service to Great Britain and the Commonwealth.

come on Bill! give us some more time! you can make these 2 hours+ and we would all still watch the whole thing
She's was symbol of all that's wrong with our fucking country.
Neither of those statements are true. Most British people don't have a strong opinion on royalty either way, they've just always been there, and most people like tradition.
Dear Bill, I have watched your real time show for many years and for the last few years watched it less and less because I was getting bored with it. This Club Random is simply great! Keep up the good work.
both Piers and Bill have struck nerves.
Please keep going bill. The world needs this. Coming from a former liberal that went too far right and now coming back to the center
He never went to the far right prove to me that he want there and I'll change my mind. The most right he ever went is when he apologized for calling himself "a house nigger".
I left London and moved back to South Africa, where it's almost impossible to watch Bill Maher shows. So happy you're doing this - thank you!
Diversity? These people believe in birtherism, the big steal, etc. Truly crazy stuff. Jerry Springer guests don't deserve a mic
That's how it was for me too!
This Libertarian was pleasantly surprised. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done. Kudos to you both. 👍
Amazing interview. Piers is awesome. So glad he stands up for his own moral ground.
This was lovely! Felt like I was at an enjoyable dinner party. Keep on keeping on, Bill. Cheers and welcome to America, Piers.
I'm a big fan of this podcast! Great stuff Bill!
Thank you [Piers] for calling upon Bill to respectfully speak of Her Magesty, the Queen. Thank you {Bill} for being open and understanding. This is RESPECT "in action" and it's refreshing!
💯
I don’t agree with most of your politics, but love this podcast. Great job!
Piers seems like a 10x better person here than ever on tv.
Well, same with Bill.
Piers comes across really well in this, but he still faked stories about British soldiers in Iraq and phone tapped grieving parents. To me he will never overcome that
He's exactly the same as he is on his TV programs.
@@dirkbag22 his new TV programmes yeah
i think piers is playing a role on tv, like an actor
Great interview, enjoy listening to both of you… take it in the road
I'm glad you started doing a podcast bill. This is sure to attract the younger audience. Your viewpoint and there's are important, and we need more of these conversations these days.
Love this show and format, Bill! I only wish it was on like network tv at midnight or something ‘cause it feels like a throwback in the best way!
You're never too old to learn!! I have never watched Morgan because I just assumed he was a complete asshole. I only watched this one because I love Maher. I was completely wrong. Love him and totally enjoyed this podcast.
Marla, this is what you'd find in 90% of the people you think you disagree with if you were able to observe them or speak to them outside of the MSM narrative. This is how life used to be before social media made it so easy to criticize and hate on anyone who might not agree with you.
Absolute Bill doing what he does best...this podcast will continue to BOOM 💥 👏! LOVED IT!
Brilliant discussion - clearly two very smart cookies here. This is such a great podcast. Keep 'em coming.
Piers is so intelligent. I could listen to him all the time. He is so charming. All the very best to you Piers.
It would have been nice to listen to him here but the host keeps hijacking every thread of conversation.
Lol😂
says no one...ever!
Bill, you've always been my favorite human. So happy you finally have a proper outlet for your level.
You are a national treasure Bill! Keep up the great work, you are very much appreciated.
I love Club Random. It's real, no BS, and informative. Piers is a good interview as well as a good interviewer.
Finally, a platform where intellegent, polite debate can explore and discuss issues in a non sensationalized format. THANK YOU!
Bill, I hope you will have Jim Carrey on a future podcast.🙂
I love Pierce ferociously defending The Queen. He’s a true British Patriot. Like 007!
I am loving these Club Random episodes thanks Bill ! 😀👍
My initial reaction was one of hesitation, not being a P.M fan; but what a fascinating conversation. Piers is far more relaxed and relatable in this setting. Bill, you really need to get him back on a later episode for part 2 and give the guy a cookie - that I'd like to see Piers Morgan stoned 🤔🍻🎉
well he said that because he's not a US citizen that it's federally illegal for him so...the US needs to get on that, yesterday.
My own reaction too.
yeah, I'm not really a fan of Piers Morgan either, but I enjoyed him in this
Piers has evolved since he had his ass intellectually beat up by Ben Shapiro regarding Sandy Hook.
This is a Great and Relevant interview!!! I really love this!!!!!
Oddly enough, considering the guest (and how little personal rapport you were likely to have), this was your best one so far. I don’t understand why it’s so short, and clearly edited in places. I’d’ve liked to see the whole thing. And why did you end it so suddenly mid-conversation?
It sounds like Bill is realizing this is not even close to matching Joe Rogan. This is going to last another 5 episodes max.
@@onedaya_martian1238 You kids today with your Joe Rogan.
@@dragonskunkstudio7582 I'm just as old as Bill and would be smart enough to not listen to the kids convincing me to put on whatever this is.
@@onedaya_martian1238 Correction: You boomers today with your Joe Rogan.
No chance. Tarantino was far far better
*BIG QUESTION* :: you’re doing longform finally ~ why then is the runtime so short? 🤦🏻♂️
still, I’m loving these. thank you Bill 👏 🇬🇧
Tarantino was on almost 2hrs dude.
I always liked and watched Bill. Never felt one way or another about Piers, but this was a very good podcast 👍 Cheers!
Cheers!
When you figure out how to jump into the screen, let us know! 😉🤪
@@lorenanders702 Working on it. I'll let you know!
Thanks.
Damn! I didn’t know I needed this podcast in my life
The most laid back cool podcast right now. Bill, you are a natural conversationalist.
That would be Rogan.
Bill seems like a genuinely fun guy. Glad to see this side of him
I didn't have that experience of him, quite the contrary. I hope for his sake he changed, a lot.
Lol depending on who you are. He doesnt give a fuck what u think nor would he ever
This is actually very entertaining. Loving the pub reflections!😆
Really enjoy the Podcast Bill! You two could have kept talking and I would've listened for hours haha. Keep it up ^_^
I am a liberal and I like Piers Morgan and Bill Maher.
But I agree that it’s something people not only have to have equal access to, but really put their own work into the process.
best venue for interviewing. AND it’s a casual setting discussing at time controversial topics. love it!
Bill, I love your shows, but honestly, you have a tendency to cut people off. It would be great if you'd let your guest have time to speak!
When you are stoned, that is just part of the buzz. Life continues. Try it sometime.
Huh? You couldn’t shut Morgan up.
Yes he has a tendency to want to show how smart he is
HAHAHA:
(Piers): Free speech free speech!
(Bill): The queen is an old bag.
(Piers): You can't say that.
I agree with Piers Morgan, you should NEVER speak of our Majesty the Queen with such disrespect ; she was the epitome of dignity and unwavering service ; she deserves absolute respect for dedicating her life to the service to Great Britain and the Commonwealth.
Yeah Monarchys are AMAZING!
Er, yeah
🙄
We fought against the regime for a reason. King George III was a tyrant. Don’t tread on me.
What service did she provide exactly? Besides taking?
I’m In Australia , and have been a fan of Bill ever since I saw Religulious , it cost $100 a month just to get HBO shows here in Australia so getting these podcasts for free is awesome
How do you get HBO? VPN? Didn’t know you can get Real time here. I just download the podcast and listen to it, and watch over time on RUclips.
I can’t get into subscribing to Stan, Binge etc. all these things so segregated, it’s too much. There isn’t even a bundle if you subscribe to the lot because they are competing.
Who pays for shit like tv when it’s all available free online lol
$100 a MONTH?? That doesn’t sound right.
@@arsenalm16g Not everyone knows that there is what I call "community video recorders." The only thing is you must have a very robust set up against spam, popups and viruses. I don't use torrent because I am too cheap to get a VPN. 🤣
Real time is available for free in Australia on Apple podcasts in audio form
This is the best show iv seen in a long time. Well done Bill! I don't always agree with you, and sometimes you quite frankly piss me off, but damnit some of my best friends do the same thing. I miss the America when we all were like that. Keep doing shows like this . We need it.
Beautifully conducted watched through the whole thing. Loved the idea of not changing the subjects coz we ran out of time. Everything flows naturally in these settings and one totally feels like a part of the experience rather than a viewer.
Great show I love watching someone I don’t agree on everything but enjoying listening too. It creates a spirited bond to find a medium ground to enjoy each other.
Bill doesn't let his guests speak at all.
Bill should have done this years ago! ❤️
I don’t know who Bill Mayer is, and I actually enjoyed this!
This crusty old man is surprisingly funny!
I'm 18 and a huge Lennon and Beatles fan.
DAMN, BILL, LET YOUR GUESTS TALK!! That's why you invited them there, right?
He was too busy defending his tribe
Nope, this is a show about him talking to people. Saw one of his promo on the Carolla Podcast (another dude who invites people to listen to him talk) and he literally said he wanted a show where he gets stoned and have guests listen to him talk 😅 so this is what he advertised.
I was looking for that comment. Feel the same, Bill interrupting Piers ALL THE TIME was so annoying. He could barely finish a thought without Bill talking about some unrelated topic.
@@BohemeTV He did the same with William Shatner. I’d rather hear the guests!?
At one point Piers even starts saying "but let me just finish.." and he gets interrupted again.
Best Club Random I have watched!
Guests keep getting better. Wow thank you!
Amazing how two people that normally dominate the conversation can show their true views even sometimes opposing each other's meanwhile remaining cordial.
Love the channel Bill!..great interview!
