@Polydynamix We actually do know. it is called pictures. They can be found on walls at ancient sites in Egypt. Also that is why we know Egypt was conquered and taken over by tribes from further south of Africa
@Polydynamix& urduib: you guys bungled a few things pretty badly. Yes, Cleopatra VII of Egypt was not a native Egyptian, she was an ethnic Macedonian Greek, but she was not born in Greece, she was born in the Greek city-state of Alexandria on Egyptian soil (her ancestors Ptolemy I Soter and Berenice I came from Greece as colonizers after the conquests of Alexander the Great).
@urduib: also, tribes from further south of Africa? What? I think you mean the time Egypt was conquered by black Kushites from the region of Nubia, which was in Sudan, in East Africa. In either case, that was the "Nubian" 25th dynasty founded by Piye. It was the first sub-Saharan black dynasty in Egypt minus the Nubians who invaded Upper Egypt during the Second Intermediate Period and were fought by native Egyptians like Kamose and Ahmose I.
And thirdly, a lot of carved temple reliefs in Egypt contain symbolic colors for skin, but we have pretty decent realistic statues that depict native Egyptians and they look like regular North African Caucasians, not blacks. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Seated_Scribe en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaaper
^ Those are just some examples from the Old Kingdom period. Here we can see Egyptians didn't change much in terms of facial features or other phenotypes with the highly realistic Greco-Roman-style portraits of the (pagan era) Fayum mummies from Roman Egypt during the 1st-4th centuries AD: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fayum_mummy_portraits

The PC Culture has been the one topic Bill Maher has ALWAYS been on the right side of. You can argue that he’s moved from Libertarian to more Liberal. This saddens me. But he’s denounced PC culture consistently, and for THAT I applaud him.
He's moved liberal/leftist on economics, as he favors more wealth redistribution and business regulation. But on social issues, he remained pretty much a libertarian, in that he rejects the increased social regulations that conservatives and liberals typically favor (on offensive speech, drugs, prostitution, protecting certain identity groups, stricter decency standards, encouraging monogamy, greater emphasis on consent, etc.)
Why should him being more pregressive sadden u. U realize there has NEVER existed a successful libertarian society, right? Its about as likely to succeed as a socialist one. I applied him for realizing how stupid free market capitalism is. He deserves scorn for being a Hillary still, tho.
"You can argue that he’s moved from Libertarian to more Liberal." I guess he would not be OK with less regulation on pollution and starving people. You know, things which people have worked hundreds of years for to make it more humane. Being liberal and anti-PC was not a problem for Carlin either.
If you like spaghetti? Guess what... Italians appropriated noodles from China. Should Germans be offended by Hot Dogs as "bastard sausages"? Just an fyi, NO actual Asian people think it's cultural appropriation if you wear their cultural clothing. In fact, I live in Japan and sometimes I am required to wear their cultural garments. For example, if I want to do judo or kendo, the first thing people ask is if I have the appropriate uniform. And guess what, that's their cultural garments they're deeming is the only appropriate garment for me to wear. Ironic. The term cultural appropriation should be reserved for when a majority member uses a cultural item to undermine and taunt the stereotyped image of a minority group. Too many lefties (and I am a leftist) think East Asians are a minority group. Pfft, not in their countries they're not. We white people are a significant minority over here. So it makes no sense to get all up in arms if a young woman wears a kimono or Chinese dress. Over here, they're encouraged to wear them, and there are companies solely targeting foreign business.
Nicholas Arminius I’ve spent time in Japan, the host family I stayed with gave me a yukata, similar to a kimono but with different material. If I wore it as a costume and some SJW told me “that’s racist!” “or culturally insensitive” I’d tell them to fuck off, if the Japanese family who actually gave it to me as a gift wants me to wear it, who the fuck are SJWs to tell me what they think is “racist or insensitive?”

The majority of people are moderate. It's just that the minority on the extreme ends, by nature of having more extreme views, make interesting articles that get clicks. So all 'journilists' do now, is find that tiny number of people upset about something on Twitter and blow it up into an outrage.
I don't think I've ever heard him ripping on the left of center without first dumping on the right. Seriously. Take any bit where he attacks right, it's just that. ryan braun you must be joking. It’s much more than 5 people on Twitter. It’s all over the left. The worst is on college campuses. I agree with the lefts position on most issues but find myself rooting for the Republicans because of the “woke folks”.
The left has a PC problem, but you're right that those "journalists" (which Bill also alluded to) have propagated it by presenting a few people's tweets as evidence of a mainstream opinion. As the commenter above said though, real people are having their lives ruined over this all the time. The problem is rooted in human psychology. Even liberals who disagree with an insane PC opinion cannot speak out against it for fear of being excommunicated from their "tribe", so instead they stay silent, virtue signal or even accuse others to ensure their own safety, which has allowed PC culture to seemingly take over mainstream liberals and is threatening free speech as we know it. So it is not only a problem, but in my opinion the left's biggest problem because it actively repels people who would be inclined to support the left and empowers people on the opposite extreme like Trump.
Sure you are on point. The SJW are just a tool, they literally protest about anything. I mean what is cultural appropriation if not diluted segregation?
@@domc2909 Because being outraged is a very cheap thing to do. Actually investing money into those communities that could use it, is a lot harder. Invest massive amounts into the education system and we will see big improvements. But this would also require paying teachers a living wage.
While I do understand the controversy of blackface, as long as the costume isn't overtly racist, can we allow Halloween to be the one time when people who aren't black dress up as black people if they want? There is a difference between a white person dressing up as their favourite rapper or Black Panther and one dressing up as a slave or mammy. Think about it for a few minutes, you'll figure out the difference soon enough.

In the book they were in the right that extreme measures were necessary to clean up the ecological mess (causing a sevete food shortage), and toxic way of living (all the chemicals and radiations from different devices) and make a concentrated repopulation program to save mankind. Its very logical in such extreme times to, for sake of survival, throw away personal freedoms and rights. (Infact books ending shows how well that state did, that the state was able later to transform back into a liberal state after the crisis was overcome). Todays society is far from this state of crisis so things wount change. There is no catalyst for that. No matter how much ISIS or any extremests of any sorts would like it to happen. Infact today, in law woman have more rights than men. There is no possible way to turn back the times. For one modern economies are based on equality and both gendered workforce. For that to happen woman always need to have equal rights. One is linked to the other. If they didnt work economy of the west (and east) would collaps. This is why muslim countries where women dont work, or dont work in great numbers (unless they have extreme buttload of oil and their workforce is 60% + foreigners) are in a very bad state and have bad quality of life. Women may have more rights than compared to before, but they are slipping, because the consciiousness is reversing, just as it is for LGBT.. Their rights are being threatened to be reversed, from not merely marriage but outright living.. State by state is legislating gays to be denied rights to work.. for employers to have the right to fire if they are found to be gay.. merely to provide a roof over their heads and to eat.. Unless of course they want to go to extremes to hide again.. like in the 1930's.. The manager of the recent mail bomber was quoted that she didn't have a right to fire Sayoc based upon his political beliefs even though those political beliefs were aimed verbally at her in violent rhetoric. But because he did his job and did it well, she felt she did not have a right to deprive him of employment. Would we get the same treatment in those states? No.. As for western economy depending upon women in the workforce, that has not stopped other nations from once having liberated women working in the workforce to stay home, mask their entire bodies, not being able to drive or be alone without the accompaniment of a male overseer. I'm referring to Iran here... And it happened nearly overnight.. And we, the U.S. caused that.. Don't think it can't happen here? Rights are being overturned and liquified from the last administration in just two years. Voters rights, voters laws, (Voters Rights act of 1965 weakened in 2013 (5-4 decision) to the extent, there is no oversight in new laws that affect minorities for instance). Every cabinet and major office and now judicial seats (not just the Supreme court) are being filled with oligarch elites bent on Conservative Darwinism.. @Don Larson Crazy ideas like spending money on health care, education, and infrastructure rather than endless wars, a wall and creating massive inequality through tax cuts and subsidizing their doners. What answers does the right offer to any of these problems?
The problem that I have with this mess is the treatment of everything as if it is the same. Imaginary cultural things like the handmaids tale ( originally a syfy novel), is given equal footing with the actual historical practice of white entertainers in black face. The Halloween notions of goblins, ghosts, witches, movie superheroes, etc. has about as much in common with real life anything as unicorn dust to the treatment for headache. And zero are even insulted, unless they themselves choose to. If your sensibilities find it inappropiate, don't do it... but that doesn't mean you shouldn't tolerate others who do not make that connection.
What really made me laugh with this (other than the well-written Kanye joke) was hearing how his boisterous audience turned nearly silent when he started in on SJW CULTure, and "cultural appropriation." They were going nuts, cheering at every word he was saying, the first half of this clip, because he was speaking against people that were on the right. But the second he started in on the left, a hush fell over that same crowd. Strange how that works. We truly are a tribalistic nation, and it has gotten much worse the last 10 years.
Wot? Were you watching the same video? They cheered plenty of stuff towards the end. They were probably told to keep quiet when Bill read those statistics, though, to not interupt him.
@@FloridatedH2O Group psychology explains it already. Maher's comments are risky, and everyone in the audience knows whether they themselves like it or hate it. But they don't know it of the others. And (mind you, this is subconscious), imagine if you're the only one who cheers. Amidst a whole crowd of haters. Maher is safely on stage, but you're surrounded. So, often people stay silent and wait. If there aren't many boos, someone 'brave' feel safe enough to cheer. Then some others know they're not alone, and cheer. As more cheer, more people feel it's safe and go along. What can follow then, is that those who actually hate it, hear a lot of cheers and now feel they're in the minority. So the reverse happens: the more cowardly start cheering along. Then more and more, until everybody cheers. No need to assume "conspiracy" when psychology already predicts it.
In Iran. Anyone wanting to blacken their faces should make a trip abd do it there. In the US and other places with a history of slavery I wouldn't advise doing it.

The Elizabeth Warren was the start of the one joke and the Kanye one was the punchline.
I'm still annoyed that he apologised for the "senator, I'm a house N"#%r" joke, but he has always called put the snowflake offended bullshit.

Being liberal and anti-PC was not a problem for Carlin either.
This is so true PC has to stop, you can still be polite but PC is ridiculous
If you like spaghetti? Guess what... Italians appropriated noodles from China. Should Germans be offended by Hot Dogs as "bastard sausages"? Just because you like one style of pizza doesnt mean everyone else is "doing it wrong".
Just because we need a conversation about how to respectfully exchange/ draw from one anothers culture, doesnt mean its all "appropriation". That's still just avoiding the conversation, SJWs!

White people are a significant minority globally. Whites are only like 10 percent of the global population. Asians appropriate the fuck out of us, blacks too. You seen Koreans break dance? The fuckers are good.

Dave Scott of course lmao
I don't think I've ever heard him ripping on the left of center without first dumping on the right. Seriously. Take any bit where he attacks right, it's just that. Any attack on the left is started with an attack on the right. And the only two topics he has ripped on the left is Islam (being of Jewish ancestry I think can be seen as bias) and free speech (as a result of him being targeted as a comedian on college campuses for boycott/protest). He will never rip on the extremes of either side in total fairness.

@@PhedelCastro rooting for the Republicans? They are just as much triggered snowflakes as the people they complain about
The left has a PC problem, but you're right that those "journalists" (which Bill also alluded to) have propagated it by presenting a few people's tweets as evidence of a mainstream opinion.

@sluttyMapleSyrup Exactly, the ignorance or some people is baffling. The bill was created to specifically reinforce the anti discrimination law, which was too vague to apply to gender identity. That is all. Obviously, some want to misconstrue the law and use their twisted views to further their agendas. Glad to find someone else who understands why this bill was created and how it is used.
It's the saying that I credit my dad with teaching me over and over. The most important lesson of my life.
Well said Bill...I'd also add that just because it's called 'political' correctness, doesn't mean that politicians can do a damn thing to change it, so never let it influence your vote.
Bill Maher is great in what he does, thank you
I love how no matter how many of Bills videos I click on, absolutely no adverts pop up 👍🏻
Spot on Bill Maher, spot on - I won't even turn on CNN any longer for this very reason.
Tucker Carlson ALWAYS looks like that.
That was some awesome vintage Politically Incorrect BIll Maher!
(Now bring back those "women dressing provocatively"...)
I love Bill so much!
Oh Bill I love you so.
You're on fire sir! I enjoyed this.
The Handsmaid tale could happen.. that's what is scarier than halloween.. Go Vote..
This couldnt happen. And even in the show it happened purely due to extreme circomstances surrounding this change in womans rights (if you dont know what im talking about read the book or watch the show). And if you read between the lines just a smudge, beyond the personal sad story of June, it basically says the system, while cruel, was warrented and effective. While other democracies were failing.
And im here talking about the book n tv show, nothing real life related, before anyone goes PC on me 😂
@@walkinondamoon1 & @1984 is not a handbook: Not going to go PC on ya.. but.. Do not the preceding instances involve similarities between the book or movie and our society today? A society filled with negativity towards women, "bleeding out" remarks during public rallies against women of the media and political realm, drastic decrease of male and female fertility and declining birthrates in the U.S. likely due in great part to namely environmental influences (pollution that will continue to be allowed under this administration, genetic issues that will not be addressed by our nation (especially if preexisting conditions are removed from ACA), female reporters, senators and house members being interrupted as if they are nonconsequential (return to prior patriarchal periods in which women were to be educated but only so much as to not interfere with male on male conversations but provide decent offspring) and that women have no true control over their bodies (evident in legislation passed in each state in conflict with Roe Vs. Wade, all in dominance over females, not merely reproductive in nature... Actual national discussion over whether a woman who is impregnated during rape, that it must've been an act of god and cannot be "murdered"... )... Tell me it's not happening.
It's a sociological pattern.. that if we return to, WMD's will have a totally different meaning... White Male Dominance over every other class..
@@ursaltydog well no. Ok so the push of this new religious/ideological movement didnt come about out of the blue. It came from sudden decline of births, destruction of environment, seeping of all sort of modern chemicals into our bodies making us not fertile. It didnt come about from todays society. But a place on a brink of destruction. This ideological view came from the (from their view) self destructive modern free loving, fully freed of responsability and only looking at your own well being selfish behavior. Why both sexes were for this ideology in such huge numbers.
If you mean just reproductive rights.... wellll those are seperate issues. In Ireland for example they only recently allowed abortions, and women have all the rights man have and never felt discriminated. But that right will never be overturned. Limited at worst. But it aint going away.
@@walkinondamoon1 You're right.. it didn't "come out of" but it's espoused in the collective beliefs of conservativism that bordered on outright communist aggression. But how was that crisis overturned? Because it went way too far... And we ARE headed towards that state.. many countries are, and it's due to a perception that immigrants all over the world are supplanting the WMD.
That's how quickly it can come.. 4-8yrs, if something is not done.
Political correctness is a huge problem in this country. When you can't laugh at yourself that make you dull and boring. And not likable. Just saying.
1:43 that made me spit out my coffee 😂
I lean toward the center right, but I think Bill is hilarious and right on point 😂
Celebrating Halloween is culturally appropriating Irish/Celtic culture.
Yeah and a lot of Americans think it started in America and they completely bastardised it like they do with every cultural holiday
JustSome IrishMan America “bastardizes” every holiday and makes it our own. Then the rest of the world follows our lead. America makes it fun. Remember St Patrick’s Day?
Funny that,I thought a lot of it originated in Scotland........
@@maxcuthbert100 the scots were celts as were the welsh and Irish so its unclear if Halloween originated in Ireland, Scotland or both
@@PhedelCastro if by "make it our own" you mean strip away all its original meaning and turning it into a day of slutty ( insert job title) costumes getting shitfaced drunk and acting like an idiot then yes you certainly do make it your own
Sure it may be more fun but like I said its lost all its original meaning and cultural value
So glad to see him go in on the SJW’s as well as the far right. They’re both awful.
Kyle H what make sjw’s and the far right awful?
Far right and SJW are two sides of the same one coin.
Question is - whose coin is it?
godofthisshit Bill does a pretty good job of describing them both in this video.
Kyle H IMO far right is far worse at least SJWs intent good unlike the far right like white nationalist like in Charleston
@@jjsprite20 both extremes lead to genocides, it's just that one extreme likes to ofuscate
I'm starting to like Bill Maher more and more he's starting to sound like a moderate. Scary LOL
@Don Larson Crazy ideas like spending money on health care, education, and infrastructure rather than endless wars, a wall and creating massive inequality through tax cuts and subsidizing their doners. What answers does the right offer to any of these problems?
I love this man.
I'm not looking forward to a world with out bill Maher
The problem that I have with this mess is the treatment of everything as if it is the same. Imaginary cultural things like the handmaids tale ( originally a syfy novel), is given equal footing with the actual historical practice of white entertainers in black face.
The Halloween notions of goblins, ghosts, witches, movie superheroes, etc. has about as much in common with real life anything as unicorn dust to the treatment for headache. Where has all the laughter gone?
Zero people today wear blackface to insult or demean. If someone decides to wear blackface as a celebration, who are you to say he can't do that due to similarity to some distant past none of us remember or support?
Zero people are harmed by blackface. And zero are even insulted, unless they themselves choose to.
If your sensibilities find it inappropiate, don't do it... but that doesn't mean you shouldn't tolerate others who do not make that connection.
sorsocksfake Who am I to say? Who do have to be?
sorsocksfake who am I to say? Who do I have to be?
@@FloridatedH2O
Group psychology explains it already.
PC doesn't equal left. It can also be sth that centrists care about or whoever. And people on the left can disagree with PC culture as well.
Thank you
Sharp and true, as always.
The Kanye and Carlson jokes were great
That pic of tucker always cracks me up. He wears that expression so often. He looks like a dog that just farted and wonders where the stink came from.
Not that it matters, but there are no references to vampires in the Bible.

Right on the money, Bill.
Standing ovation for the last 20 seconds of it.
There has always been political correctness, it just hasn't always been called that, and *which things* are politically incorrect has changed over time.
