Can you tell me if you enjoyed your fresh sardines - I eat tinned ones in tomato sauce and abit of Mayo but I don't really like them - is it worth buying fresh - thx
In Malaga right now. Going to the fresh market on Monday and buying some of these bad boys. Had no idea how to cook them. Thanks for this simple instruction. They look tasty!
Sounds delicious! They are just as tasty simply sprinkled with salt and grilled over charcoal, and then a squeeze of fresh lemon just befire eating. It's a shame they're so underrated fish in some countries.
Hi thank you for the video. In general food has to swim in oil for tasty frying; what should we do to the rest of the oil when frying is over. The oil will have strong taste and can not be used again like they do for french-fries. Any idea please?
Paprika, pepper powder ,a pinch of Turmeric powder, salt, lemon juice mix them well and coat it on fish fry in coconut oil ....ah.....gosh that's heaven
I don't fry this way... instead make a paste with all of the ingredients and add some lemon juice into it and apply on the fishes.. refrigerate for about an hour or two and then shallow fry will leave the oil clean and also the masala on the fish fully absorbed. :)))))😋😋😋
I bought sardines about half that size. Do I cook them guts and all? Is it really OK? I know it won't kill me or anything like that but it seems sorta... sorta.... something 🙃
Alright. I'll try both ways. Mine are frozen. I was going to go straight from the freezer to the pan like I often do fish fillets. I think I'll do a few like that first and taste them. Then thaw some and gut them. I'm definitely eating the heads. Thanks for answering!
Hi, I love fresh sardines but they have lots of bones. So when you fried them like that, can u eat the bones too? I choked on the sardines bones but. Too scary
In Greece we eat them fried just like this. Bravo.
Just bought some fresh sardines. Never cooked with them before. Your method looks quite simple. Thank you.
My pleasure 😊
How big were yours? I bought a big frozen bag on sale. They were about half that size.
Did you gut them? Seems strange eating guts...lol
@@howtocookgreat Do you eat them whole with the heads on?

You can only really use the fish oil to cook more fish in unless you d not mind your fries tasting of fish.
Pour a mixture of corn flour with water into the oil when the temperature goes down. Put paper towel onto the filter and filter.
Thanks alot 👍😊
Most welcome 😊
Please mention the item 4 and 5
Cant understand🙏
Paprika, pepper powder ,a pinch of Turmeric powder, salt, lemon juice mix them well and coat it on fish fry in coconut oil ....ah.....gosh that's heaven

What about the scales?
I don't fry this way... instead make a paste with all of the ingredients and add some lemon juice into it and apply on the fishes.. refrigerate for about an hour or two and then shallow fry will leave the oil clean and also the masala on the fish fully absorbed. :)))))😋😋😋
After frying are the bones good to eat or its a lot of hustle to take them out?
You can just eat them whole.
Those look like herring ! Sardines are small. I catch wild herring every year during the annual spawning run, the limit is 125 fish person per day .
Gotta find a place to get fresh sardines, only in cans in Australia.
They are very salty naturally so do we add salt?
What do you do about the bones mate?
You can eat them if they are small sized fish.
I NEVER gut my sardines..I simply bbq or fry them straight ahead..
I've been cooking them like this for years..
If you dont gut them arent you going to be eating the crud that is in their innards ?
I bought sardines about half that size.
Do I cook them guts and all?
Is it really OK? I know it won't kill me or anything like that but it seems sorta... sorta.... something 🙃
Rick either way, easy to clean them there is not much going on inside. Some people do some dont.

@@rickrolls3786 how was it?
Have you not removed the scales?!
no
What kind of fish is this?
Whole fresh sardines..... Unlike that canned stuff. Easily found at an Asian grocery store
No need to remove the scales?
Yes you must
Piiiiiiiiiiii
YUK!
Have no gravy with them.😐
Hi, I love fresh sardines but they have lots of bones. So when you fried them like that, can u eat the bones too? I choked on the sardines bones but. Too scary
When you cut them to eat them, just cut them so you can flap them open and remove the spinal bones, I hate the bones.
Great cook 🇳🇿🤗🇳🇿
Thank you 😋
Nice delicious penge poh daan kdin poh sa kusina q.
