if you haven't heard them yet, I recommend the digimon japanese openings, and yu yu hakusho opening in japanese or english. also the yugioh japanese openings are goated as well, my favs are the ones from yugioh 5ds.
I agree with you, Luke, but what could have happened is that the person who created the list didn't create it based on their personal preferences. Maybe it was like a public vote or something. I can understand it in that sense since people have different tastes in music, or they voted based on the fact that they want their favorite anime to win. Or maybe some other factor. That's how I rationalize these lists if I don't think they were done properly.

I would recommend "Terror in Resonance" songs... It has a good opening & unsettling ending song by Aimer. The anime itself is only 11 episodes yet is a complete story & a good one at that. "God of Highschool" opening... It's a BANGER!!! The anime itself is also pretty good. "Yuri on ice" despite the image it has... This opening is unique
What image? I thought everyone agreed that it's a genuinely good anime. Just because it has a romance in it that happens to be gay, doesn't mean it's less serious/less good

I agree! Rumbling deserved the no. 1 spot. The music, the vocals, the popularity, the legacy, the story, and the raw emotions, everything came together in that one opening.
I hope you'd do an evolution of openings for different studios as well. There are videos that compiled the OPs from shows specific studios created and arranged them by year and it's really interesting to see how each studio's animation style has changed and developed over the years. KyoAni's is pretty cool cause you'd see how their artstyle slowly turned into the current one. Someday when you've watched a ton of animes, you should make your own Best of Anime OP. Again, Yugioh and Inuyasha anime OPs! They're pretty good.
Zombieland Saga is a fun series about zombie idols in the Saga prefecture! Dorohedoro is a series you REALLY need to watch at some point, it's just too good. Akudama Drive: Cyberpunk, insane fight scenes, baller music, and very Tarantino Touhou recomendation: Tokyo Active Neets "Maiden's Crapriccio ~ Dream Battle" and/or "Flowering Night", the MMD videos. The animation is incredibly well done Touhou jazz covers are just too damned good. EDIT: (Plus they'll be even more confusing as to what Touhou actually is, so it's win/win!)
You should totally react to "march comes in like a lion" openings and endings!! Yuki just makes such iconic openings, sakamichi no apollon op, sayonara bystander, flag wo tatero, they are all so good and i feel like you first need to get used to the sound of those to fully appreciate em.
Ah Kakegurui opening, I was just going to suggest that opening and give it a watch, if you watch the full song you will hear the thing that inspired Bae to give Play Dice its end. Id suggest giving the opening for The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious with a song by Myth and Roid.
Just a reminder that top lists like this take both the song and the animation into account. Even if you think a song isn't as good, the overall presentation may be better or more unique (like how you were shocked when Beaststars was #1 in another list). Anyway, thanx for the reaction as always.

I completely agree with *KIDS ON THE SLOPE* Opening being above Rumbling, JJK & Dororo, it's probably my favourite opening from a Mappa Show specially it hits harder when you've finished the show! I WOULD'VE PUT *PARADOX FROM SURVIVE SAID THE PROPHET* (Vinland Saga Op 4) NO.1 but it wasn't here cuz probably by the time this video got published the op wasn't out!

The God of High School - I do think you reacted to it in a compilation vid but im too lazy to find a vid from 7 months without a relevant tag ... 28. Yuri on Ice - is a clasic but the opening song is really good. 26. Hajime no Ippo: Rising - one of the best boxing seasons in anime. I mean Megalo box has it too but this is pure and a little bit more realistic. HYPEEEEE. 21./12. Kakegurui - I totaly tought you did the reaction of this already ... man what are you doing ...... those are cheeky but good. 19. Takt OP. Destiny - for me the show is a dissapointment cause it had such potential but somehow it just deflated like a cut basketball .... 05. Heion Sendai no Idaten-Tachi - For me it is a really interesting series which is a bit underrated. Has a lot of potentional with how it ended the first season. 00. Karakuri Circus - Was a co production of Mappa and studio Voln you totaly have to react to it. I loved your face full of disapointment when you heard the No.02 xd Yes yes we know you love the Rumbling. Truh be told the GARO series would make for an interesting series. The anime studios mostly adapt the visuals cause in manga, and lightnovels you always have ilustrations. They are original mostly by original adaptations.

Kakegurui is worth a watch. #2 Yuki's song... The reason that she is that high is because It's Yuki from Judy and Mary. A highly influential band in Japan and Asia from the 90s to 2000's before their break up. She is considered by many in Asia as a superstar singer/songwriter. She is in the same league as Ringo Shiina. .. oh, Yuki have 3 kids and another X-er - so no longer a "girl", ara-ara. :) Also, I notices Mappa do like their black on red colour pallet. But still, like I said before, the people that put those list together is what appeal to their ears, not ours. I mean, they completely forgot "Pure snow" from 90's top list. (that one was top 20 on actual Japanese oricon (their billboard) back in 1999.)

Kakegurui is a cool anime about gambling. It's the one you had to rewind for science (#21). It would be interesting to see your reaction to the situations presented and the main character actions.
also, if you watch Vinland Saga, you're gonna love River even more. like, trust me, River will be even better when it's in front of the episodes that happen in Vinland Saga season 2. I have so much affection for River, Without Love, Paradox... all of the music for season 2, including the OST, it's all so much better knowing how it slots in with the story.

Chainsaw Man's music is INCREDIBLE. It has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in anime. Not only is the op and the eds all iconic, the osts (composed by the legendary Kensuke Ushio) are amazing too
Meh I personally can't get into the Chainsaw ops and just the same as MHA, Black Clover and JoJo find it to be over rated as they get way too over played largely because of the animes that they just so happen to represent. In general the action shoujos are also the most over rated type of animes because of how much they unfairly over shadow every other anime that just as deserving of attention, such as the emotional or school type of animes like Violet Evergarden, Clannad or Kimi no na wa for instance and that's not including many others such as Toradora or Yuru Yuru camp as well. The amount the anime op vids that almost entirely feature shoujo animes (usually along with many repeates of the same anime but a different theme such as Naruto hogging 5 places for instance) more than speaks for it's self.
Personally I would put Vinland Saga Season 2 OP 2 (Paradox by Survive said the prophet) on #1, The rumbling on #2 and Kick back on 3rd place. (River (Vinland S2 Op 1) would be top 5)
I was expecting Mukanjo from Vinland Saga to be in it (bc Survive Said The Prophet are just that amazing), but I was also happy to see Sakamichi no Apolon (Kids on the Slope is the English title) make the list, and so high up too! It's a great anime imo.
Zombieland Saga OPs defo need a react (Along with the anime in general!), and Kakkeguri's OPs (If you can find the non-60FPS ones), and Zankyou No Terror OP. 35 also reminded me of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei's crazy OPs, which you should also check out
Once again, let's go! 38 - Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill - FINALLY! I thouhgt I would have none on this playlist 😁. This anime is AWESOME. Really light comedy, really fun. It is about a regualar salary-man that is summonned into another world alongside 3 high-school kids, to act as heroes of the world. The 3 kids get evaluated and have great fighting or magic skills, but him... he only got "Net Supermarket". But, man, taht skill comes with a twist no one was expecting. Really fun anime, and Sui is so ADORABLE! 😁 The music itself is skipabble, for me 😅 29 - The God of High School - MAN, only 29th??? HOW??? THIS SONG IS AWESOME!!! The anime is the regullar "fighting contest" style, but has a twist in it that makes it really interesting to watch. I would recomend this, although the anime itself it not very well ranked 18 - Takt Op. Destiny - I am lacking to watch this one, BUT, I got to see the first episode. Is quite intriguind, a world with no music, no songs, nothing, because music attracts monster that attack everything. But the two main characteres fight those monster by USING MUSIC. A "must check", at least. I have the intention to proper watch it... someday 😁 08 - Inuyashiki - I will tell nothing about this anime. JUST. WATCH. IT! And Man With a Mission, what there is to say, right? 😁 01 - Chainaw Man - having this at top, is fair. But this list must have been done before Hell's Paradise. I would put THAT on top. Maybe they consider the whole thing, music and animation, not just the music itself? Well, such a short list for me, this time 😁

There are so many its great that they have their own tier list to have a list which is crazy! Mappa is an amazing studio! But of coarse it also helps that the musicians are also quite amazing to produce these songs! I can understand the tier list being not just about the song, but the animation as well and why those were top 3 or 5 or 10. I love Kakegurui glad to see them on the list although the manga is much better than the anime at least thats how I feel. But still love the series overall. You should still react to the OP | ED of Kakegurui!
I've never met anyone who knows Sakamichi no Apollon. Its been soo long since I've watched it, but it has a special place in my heart. Some of the best music I've ever heard in anime. Especially Moanin' ^^

you gotta react to a GARO anime, every anime has a different story so it doesn't matter where you start but each anime is GOD TIER story wise and OP are amazing(every JAM project song is GOD TIER). also ignoring the ahm "fight scenes", kakegarui is also amazing, it's a characters driven show and each one is so mentally screwed it's such a fun time to watch how they are all mixed together with one another. oh and "sakamichi no apollon" is such a hidden jem! if you're into music(espcially jazz) themed anime you're gonna LOVE it! it's short, it's sweet, it's sad, it's everything plus amazing OST! definitely worth the watch!
As for anime that I recommend from this list: Terror in resonance, amazing 11 episode story, is complete, it's about a pair of terrorist and that's about all I can say without spoilers. Inuyashiki, also an 11 episodes story, is complete too, about a 50yo man that just discover he has terminal cancer, his life will change drastically from that point onwards and not necessarily because of his illness. Dororo a 24 episodes story, is also complete. About a boy that embarcs on a journey to recovery what he was stolen since birth. Banana Fish 24 eps also completed. About a Japanese athlete that cannot compete anymore due to an injury, travels as an assistant photographer with a journalist to USA to write about street gangs. They get involved in something big. Hope you give a chance to at least 1 of these if not all. They are all amazing stories!!
As far as studio animation style go the reason for such a difference is because the industry is mostly operates on freelancers and borrowing animators from other studios. Unlike Kyoani or Ghibli were they tend to keep the animation in-house for the most part. There's still similarities but you'd have to really look for them.
Day 112 of recommending the Beyblade openings. There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!
Sarazanmai is one of the weirdest series I ever saw but I found it very nice if you can look past sucking out someones soul (or something similar to it because technically it is not a soul) through their ass (it heavily used some old japanese legends about kappas, mythology creatures and oh boy, were they weird.). Also deffinitely recommend Kids on the Slope (or in japanese Sakamichi no Apollon) because it is one of the best slice of life series I ever watched in my life (no weird stuff here). Banana Fish is also an amazing series although it does tackle very serious and hard topics so I would advise checking out content watnings before if you feel you can be sensitive to some very heavy topics in fiction. Although they are handled in the series really well, it still can be too heavy for some people.

Thank god they put itaden's opening done by tatsuya kitani. It's actually one of the opening that's overshadowed just because the art style of the anime is different from others.
№48 - Zankyou no Terror (Terror in Resonance) is really one of a kind anime. Also, it's the first anime where I heard anything about music from Iceland. Kakegurui (women in red with big personalities) is an anime about gambling school.

That number 2 opening is from a really great Slice of Life/Jazz anime called Kids on the Slope. The show is amazing

I completely agree with *KIDS ON THE SLOPE* Opening being above Rumbling, JJK & Dororo, it's probably my favourite opening from a Mappa Show specially it hits harder when you've finished the show!

The anime studios mostly adapt the visuals cause in manga, and lightnovels you always have ilustrations. They are original mostly by original adaptations.

#2 Yuki's song... The reason that she is that high is because It's Yuki from Judy and Mary. A highly influential band in Japan and Asia from the 90s to 2000's before their break up. She is considered by many in Asia as a superstar singer/songwriter. She is in the same league as Ringo Shiina. .. oh, Yuki have 3 kids and another X-er - so no longer a "girl", ara-ara. :)
Also, I notices Mappa do like their black on red colour pallet.
But still, like I said before, the people that put those list together is what appeal to their ears, not ours. I mean, they completely forgot "Pure snow" from 90's top list. (that one was top 20 on actual Japanese oricon (their billboard) back in 1999.)

also, if you watch Vinland Saga, you're gonna love River even more. like, trust me, River will be even better when it's in front of the episodes that happen in Vinland Saga season 2. I have so much affection for River, Without Love, Paradox... all of the music for season 2, including the OST, it's all so much better knowing how it slots in with the story.

Chainsaw Man's music is INCREDIBLE. It has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in anime. Not only is the op and the eds all iconic, the osts (composed by the legendary Kensuke Ushio) are amazing too

Meh I personally can't get into the Chainsaw ops and just the same as MHA, Black Clover and JoJo find it to be over rated as they get way too over played largely because of the animes that they just so happen to represent. In general the action shoujos are also the most over rated type of animes because of how much they unfairly over shadow every other anime that just as deserving of attention, such as the emotional or school type of animes like Violet Evergarden, Clannad or Kimi no na wa for instance and that's not including many others such as Toradora or Yuru Yuru camp as well. The amount the anime op vids that almost entirely feature shoujo animes (usually along with many repeates of the same anime but a different theme such as Naruto hogging 5 places for instance) more than speaks for it's self.

Personally I would put Vinland Saga Season 2 OP 2 (Paradox by Survive said the prophet) on #1, The rumbling on #2 and Kick back on 3rd place. (River (Vinland S2 Op 1) would be top 5)
I was expecting Mukanjo from Vinland Saga to be in it (bc Survive Said The Prophet are just that amazing), but I was also happy to see Sakamichi no Apolon (Kids on the Slope is the English title) make the list, and so high up too! It's a great anime imo.

38 - Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill - FINALLY! I thouhgt I would have none on this playlist 😁. This anime is AWESOME. Really light comedy, really fun. It is about a regualar salary-man that is summonned into another world alongside 3 high-school kids, to act as heroes of the world. The 3 kids get evaluated and have great fighting or magic skills, but him... he only got "Net Supermarket". But, man, taht skill comes with a twist no one was expecting. Really fun anime, and Sui is so ADORABLE! 😁 The music itself is skipabble, for me 😅
29 - The God of High School - MAN, only 29th??? HOW??? THIS SONG IS AWESOME!!! The anime is the regullar "fighting contest" style, but has a twist in it that makes it really interesting to watch. I would recomend this, although the anime itself it not very well ranked
18 - Takt Op. Destiny - I am lacking to watch this one, BUT, I got to see the first episode. Is quite intriguind, a world with no music, no songs, nothing, because music attracts monster that attack everything. But the two main characteres fight those monster by USING MUSIC. A "must check", at least. I have the intention to proper watch it... someday 😁
08 - Inuyashiki - I will tell nothing about this anime. JUST. WATCH. IT! And Man With a Mission, what there is to say, right? 😁
01 - Chainaw Man - having this at top, is fair. But this list must have been done before Hell's Paradise. I would put THAT on top. Maybe they consider the whole thing, music and animation, not just the music itself?

There are so many its great that they have their own tier list to have a list which is crazy! Mappa is an amazing studio! But of coarse it also helps that the musicians are also quite amazing to produce these songs! I can understand the tier list being not just about the song, but the animation as well and why those were top 3 or 5 or 10. I love Kakegurui glad to see them on the list although the manga is much better than the anime at least thats how I feel. But still love the series overall. You should still react to the OP | ED of Kakegurui!
I've never met anyone who knows Sakamichi no Apollon. Its been soo long since I've watched it, but it has a special place in my heart. Some of the best music I've ever heard in anime. Especially Moanin' ^^

you gotta react to a GARO anime, every anime has a different story so it doesn't matter where you start but each anime is GOD TIER story wise and OP are amazing(every JAM project song is GOD TIER). also ignoring the ahm "fight scenes", kakegarui is also amazing, it's a characters driven show and each one is so mentally screwed it's such a fun time to watch how they are all mixed together with one another.
oh and "sakamichi no apollon" is such a hidden jem! if you're into music(espcially jazz) themed anime you're gonna LOVE it! it's short, it's sweet, it's sad, it's everything plus amazing OST! definitely worth the watch!

As for anime that I recommend from this list:
Terror in resonance, amazing 11 episode story, is complete, it's about a pair of terrorist and that's about all I can say without spoilers.
Inuyashiki, also an 11 episodes story, is complete too, about a 50yo man that just discover he has terminal cancer, his life will change drastically from that point onwards and not necessarily because of his illness.
Dororo a 24 episodes story, is also complete. About a boy that embarcs on a journey to recovery what he was stolen since birth.
Banana Fish 24 eps also completed.
About a Japanese athlete that cannot compete anymore due to an injury, travels as an assistant photographer with a journalist to USA to write about street gangs. They get involved in something big.
Hope you give a chance to at least 1 of these if not all. They are all amazing stories!!
Idaten-tachi would be my number 1 from this top 50.
As far as studio animation style go the reason for such a difference is because the industry is mostly operates on freelancers and borrowing animators from other studios. Unlike Kyoani or Ghibli were they tend to keep the animation in-house for the most part. There's still similarities but you'd have to really look for them.

There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!
Sarazanmai is one of the weirdest series I ever saw but I found it very nice if you can look past sucking out someones soul (or something similar to it because technically it is not a soul) through their ass (it heavily used some old japanese legends about kappas, mythology creatures and oh boy, were they weird.). Also deffinitely recommend Kids on the Slope (or in japanese Sakamichi no Apollon) because it is one of the best slice of life series I ever watched in my life (no weird stuff here). Banana Fish is also an amazing series although it does tackle very serious and hard topics so I would advise checking out content watnings before if you feel you can be sensitive to some very heavy topics in fiction. Although they are handled in the series really well, it still can be too heavy for some people.
