they are some piece of engineering, best lifts i have seen in ages good job they are scenic, allows people to see how much work goes into installing lifts. great video.
PLEASE NOTE: The video was recorded in 2014 which back then it was officially the fastest elevator in Europe but I'm sure in the future there will be more faster ones :)
Hello, This video might have information out of date as it was recorded in 2014. I'm just following that information which i've uplaoded on my fb fan page: facebook.com/funcik1/photos/a.232290800114723.71706.185104244833379/882302018446928/?type=1&theater
The fastest elevator in Europe is standing in Berlin (Germany) and was build in 1999 in the Kollhoff-Tower by ThyssenKrupp Aufzüge. Maximum speed is 8,5 m/s :D
+johnny O vators I'm following the facts they stated: facebook.com/funcik1/photos/a.232290800114723.71706.185104244833379/882302018446928/?type=1&theater
It was auto-called at one point but there were too many thickos that then also called using the panel controls, so efficiency was compromised. We now just call them using our building access cards from the control panels (when we're allowed into the building of course!)
It's not the only one in Europe, travelling at 8 m/s. Since 2011 there's this one in Milan (Palazzo Lombardia or Lombardy Tower), 39 floors in about 20 seconds, by ThyssenKrupp. ruclips.net/video/seVNrrRh4V0/видео.html
alexrm82 I just followed their facts from them, check out my image: facebook.com/funcik1/photos/pb.185104244833379.-2207520000.1427336468./882302018446928/?type=1&theater
the fastest elevator in the world/europe is not placed in any highrise building or scyscraper , its actually placed inside a themepark attraction at the Disney parks, its the elevator inside Tower Of terror, and what makes the attraction work and so scary. the elevator is just a specialized version of a normal elevator car, and works just the same, its just much bigger and faster and far more powerfull than a normal ordinary highspeed elevator. A heavy duty steel cable creates a loop of cable attached both the top and bottom of the elevator car.the heavy counterweight is placed at the opposite side of the loop, the same cable loop and motor that pulls the car up, also pulls it down. The motors that runs the elevator car is, 12´tall,7´ wide, and 35´ long, wich makes each motor for each elevator shaft the size of a car garage, about 3 times larger than any highspeed elevator in the world. They are not only huge, they are also incredible heavy, and they are placed at the top of the building, they weigh about 132,000 lbs , wich means that they exert 432 pounds pr square foot on the steelframe they rest on, the hotel facade is not bearing structure its just buildt around it to look nice,. How many motors are there in TOT in Florida? it has 6 huge motors,4 for each of the back lift shafts, used for the lift sequence into the 5th dimension and, 2 for the drop sequence in the 2 fall shafts, the other TOT attraction rides has only 3 motors as all the action happens in one of the shafts. The Motors accelerates 10 tons 15 times faster than any of the fastest elevators in the world, in case you are wondering the torque generated to move the cars up and down the elevator shaft is equvivalent to 275 corvette engines, the elewator car, travels at 39 mhp, wich is faster than acceleration of gravity it self, the wind you feel inside the ride shaft is fake, thats made of gigantic fans at the bottom of the shaft blowing wind up inside it.So when you are on TOT, you dont fall, but are pulled down in a controlled manner, faster than gravity,. The fastest normal highspeed elevator travels safely at about 37,3 mph, wich is fast, and are considered the worlds fastest public elevator, but actually it is not the worlds fastest elevator, that cary people!, that elevator is the record breaking elevator named Tower Of Terror ,buckle up ! sit down and relax, you are about to travel into the 5 dimension, you are about to travel into, the twilightzone,.
+Thor Kipperberg You cannot compare simple passanger lift to the scary falling-down attraction from Disneyland. As I said before, I'm following according to satistics. This is the fastest elevator in europe 8m/s
sure you can compare them, as both are elevators and buildt the same,. only thing that is different is the size of the motors and the speed the TOT attraction has, compared to a "normal" highspeed elevator for "safe" travel..
They have different purpose. One of them is transporting passanger to certain level whereas the other attemts to scare us for reason. You cannot compare them, despite being an cabin on the ropes. One of them have special seats, the other is normal.
@@elevator_satellite I actually found out. Rottweil Testrum or the Thyssenkrupp Test Tower in Germany has the fastest glass elevator with a speed of 8.07 m/s.

nn maybe because they live in the US, meaning the kone parts supplied there are not tested properly and probably not run well in kone lifts that are in the US.
22 m/s actually. The speed has been reduced to 10 m/s though. However, the other one that goes 21 m/s had its speed reduced to 18 m/s which makes it the fastest operating lift in the world.
This is the most incredible set of elevators I've ever come across. It would be an absolute dream to ride these. Absolutely incredible.

Yes shows off lift engineering at its best.
That looks like Kone at their absolute best! I would love to ride those! :)
I want to surf it !
(And I think BENO would be interested in that too !)
There is a cheese grater in Brisbane called 111 George St and it has modded Kone lifts but photography is not allowed; it has guards!

Lakhta Center in Russia with a speed of 8.3 meters per second. Made by Thyssenkrupp
Russia is mainly in Asia, not Europe.
Ok
Nice video and great view from the top. However the fastest elevator in Europe travels 8.5 m/s and is located in the Kollhoff building in Berlin.

No Ecodiscs that travel at this speed have a motor room.

I don't ride that elevator like a "tall of tower building". Is too scary for this elevator the way up so fastest!!!
Alan Deutscher take stair then
it is not called automatically its got destination dispatch and its on proirity service meaning someone (like security) is sending it to your floor

Wow! Very beautiful elevators.
I love kone escalators and the elevators
Got some power that elevator 🛗 wow

Thought she said "Fourteenth floor" and i thought thats not that fast for only 14 floors then i saw the screen lol..
Where is the bulding of this Location/City?
London
RSHP aesthetic is pure technology poetry
is it an ecodisc?
+Trizocbs EcoDisc a low rise solution. This is called Polaris which is a high rise destination dispatch system.
Yes.
Minispace/Alta system
Does seem to be like a cheesegrater GRATY. I call it a gratyhall building
An empty counterweight frame? How the hell?!
+Brandon B It's not empty
funcik1 I couldn't see a single weight in that frame when it came up! Lol
Is this even open to the public I'd love to see these
No, it was open only once to public. Not sure whether they would repeat that. Look for Open House 2015
日本では同じようなエレベーターがそこら中にあります。高所恐怖症は耐えられません
can you go to 45
Super elevator
Is this is London?
Yes
@@funcik1 can you just walk inside the building and take a lift ride?
Is it a Kone Ecodisc or is it a Kone Nanospace
Minispace or Alta
Kone's ecodisc is just the motor, the model of lift is more likely to be Manospace.
so cool
wow man fast elevator by kone
Very fast lift
"the lift is computerized"
That sounds weird. I think "automated" sounds better.
I'm sure you are smart enough to understand what I meant.

Oh hell no
I would not trust these elevators. I don't trust Kone
X2, I have worked for them and TK. TK is better
kone is worlds best elevator brand and no accidents has been happen so why?
nn maybe because they live in the US, meaning the kone parts supplied there are not tested properly and probably not run well in kone lifts that are in the US.
I was in a Kone one in a parking garage at work, and got stuck in it for 10 minutes, and had to press a reset code after calling out

The fastest lift is
20m/s
In asia
Purple is an imposter. Killing people in Asia at 20 m/s. It’s a joke btw lol
Had to do it
22 m/s actually. The speed has been reduced to 10 m/s though.
However, the other one that goes 21 m/s had its speed reduced to 18 m/s which makes it the fastest operating lift in the world.
Learn how to spell its cheese grater
+George Dearsley Hello, the spelling error has been fixed.
Just to point out, English is not my mother-tongue langue though :)
it isnt the fastest there are more and better elevator brands that where first so SCAM VIDEO
