And to top it off: The grandfather’s DYING WISH was for his wife to be well taken care of until she passed away and not be put in a nursing home. As someone who believes a dying wish should always be respected, the fact that the aunt even went as far as to subject the poor old woman to that kind of “care” just goes to show that the aunt never gave a crap about the old woman and definitely didn’t care about the old man’s final wishes whatsoever. Even though the man’s wife wasn’t put in a nursing home, his last wishes were basically treated like they were nothing important to the aunt. That’s just indescribably heartless, imo. (Again, I’m sorry that this rant was so long, but this was literally the most I could shorten it. The IRS has some interesting things they will do for people. I had an instructor who told us about how he and his ex-wife owed a bunch of back taxes to the IRS. While she ignored it, he paid off every last penny that they owed. Once he did, the IRS issued him a refund check for half the amount he paid and then went after his ex for her half. So he was free and clear while she was now stuck with the IRS breathing down her neck.
