@@scramjetaerospike6826 well, I beg to differ. When I was a kid, video games were blamed for doing exactly the same that internet does today. Read Midway Vs. U.S. Govt. Case of Mortal Kombat. Formerly, TV has been blamed for keeping kids away from the parks. But in the end, its the parents' who can steer the kids away from harmful content to more creative ones. My kids have learned wonders on the Internet.
Governments should require that companies have safety monitors in their social platforms. If their not willing to comply with age verification because like any greedy money hunger machine does, they should be liable for under age harmful exposure.
But it still is, and Roblox problem is way bigger than the other platforms because they prefer lying about safety than spend money to improve it. The fact that other platforms have this problem too doesn’t affect the awerness that we should keep about Roblox.

13:11 perfect PERFECT example! Most parents do not understand that this is the new shopping mall where you do not talk to strangers. Its why during the 80s, missing children were popping up left and right because parents were so oblivious to the concept of being aware where your child was at the time that TVs had to remind parents at a certain time to see where their kids were. We need parents to keep reminding themselves that this is like dropping off your kids at the mall to "hang out"

It already is. Lethal Company was supposed to be a Roblox game but the lead dev left the platform and started from scratch when all of these blew up. A lot of developers are also leaving Roblox one by one.
Also after the lawsuit and the truth relating to Ruben has been revealed, Roblox's stock price tanked 60% from their all time high and they have yet to recover. Their stock is close to becoming a penny stock.
I am glad that I haven't found any preds. The fact that Roblox only will take down a game that was made and owned by a child predator after another corporation files a DMCA Copyright Infringement is horrible.
Criticizing Roblox and making the knowledge of this issue mainstream is the only way for things to change; the stock price of Roblox has to dip eventually, which will anger the shareholders and force them to take more action into restructuring the company. The moderation team is heavily understaffed and many moderators lack training in distinguishing threats. I hope that this video will set off a chain of events, and more news entities will cover this.
What upsets me about this it’s so easy to find these games and they get massed reported but they don’t get banned and they’re sometimes even promoted by Roblox them selfs I quite literally got recommended “sus bathroom game❤❤❤” yesterday and I don’t even play hangouts not to mention I’ve seen several times of people asking other people for their age only to see the other person say they’re underage And Roblox has done little to nothing and also seems they don’t do any background checks before hiring employees because an employee was recently exposed for this type of stuff

Yes; but only for robux. The DevEx system converts sums like 100,000 robux-which would cost $800 when purchasing-to $350. This means the developer, in turn, makes 30.625% of the original. They forgot to mention that, but they were not wrong.
@hayder0687 I mean, everything, everyone, relies on AI nowadays. Even people make AI arts and claimed it as they made it themselves. Now, where is the fact that roblox moderators are "human moderators"?
A lot of this falls on Roblox for sure. but I have to say coming from someone who used to play tf2, Garry’s mod, minecraft and other games. when I was a kid a lot of other games that had community servers had actual staff and moderators on the server and I find it disturbing that almost no Roblox servers have that or the ones that do simply don’t have enough
The rule of taking action against users who bully harrass and discriminate others off platform is not enforced, a friend of mine who is a roblox developer was mass harassed, bullied and attack by another community on roblox, it was reported using the digital services act in the european union but it was denied because it happened "off platform" despite there being more than enough evidence and telling them about the rule where the owners are responsible for their own community based off what they tell them to do.
Oh yeah that and guest account which were perfect for children because no one could track the user and engage with them. They removed them because it was impossible for them to make money and sell robux to children if they didn’t have an account
i really hope the beginning of the end starts here, spread this pls, as someone who plays that trash daily unfortunately, i am sure from everything i've seen and heard that roblox has been trying to stay out of the public eye for very long so the real image of roblox doesn't spread, once most people on the internet know this roblox is going to be in BIG and i mean BIG trouble trust me

Kids should go out to the park, visit new places, interact with real people and other kids.
Kids should not have access to the internet, full stop. No amount of moderation is going to completely fix the problem, and the risk is too great.
Governments should require that companies have safety monitors in their social platforms.
If their not willing to comply with age verification because like any greedy money hunger machine does, they should be liable for under age harmful exposure.
It’s the fault of the parents not the cooperation
i think both government/companies/parents should take care on the children tbh
It's not just roblox
But it still is, and Roblox problem is way bigger than the other platforms because they prefer lying about safety than spend money to improve it.
The fact that other platforms have this problem too doesn’t affect the awerness that we should keep about Roblox.
Ive never seen any other game with this problem 😂

Just because Bloomberg decided to report on one gaming platform problem doesn't mean she's nor acknowledging other problems in other games, roblox's problem is just more noticeable and problematic because robloc refuses to do anything about it.
so this is what ruben was working on. also nice video bloomberg even tho this is the only video i watched its still edited nicely and you are really easy to understand aswell as bringign attention to this type of stuff to my beloved platform thank you.
We need parents to keep reminding themselves that this is like dropping off your kids at the mall to "hang out"
As much as I dislike what Ruben has done (off platform) he does have some great points regarding the issues roblox suffers from.
My dads friend recently met the CEO of Roblox and he mentioned to him how he would let his daughters play Roblox more often if they at least try to work on the predator problem and David whatever his name is, said “oH WErE acTUalLy WORkinG oN ThaT” when there really no and it’s honestly so messed up😢
When I was around 10 years old (8 years ago) there was an exploiter with a disgusting script that does.. y’know and targeted me. I didn’t even know what adult things were at the time so I didn’t understand what was happening on my screen. One of the many reasons I do not make my avatar female anymore in any online game
Remember this guys this all generally happened because the 2nd owner died and quit from their community
My man, its horrible seeing 12 year olds reenacting the senario of how they were created
So Roblox extorted $150,000 from a teenager and nuclear hellfire hasn't been brought upon them?
It already is. Lethal Company was supposed to be a Roblox game but the lead dev left the platform and started from scratch when all of these blew up. A lot of developers are also leaving Roblox one by one.
Also after the lawsuit and the truth relating to Ruben has been revealed, Roblox's stock price tanked 60% from their all time high and they have yet to recover. Their stock is close to becoming a penny stock.
@@justaguy6133 I hope they completely go out of business. You don't extort money from children, especially not for such petty reasons.
17:13 😢stay safe ruben..
"Can i swear?" 😂 16:30
I am glad that I haven't found any preds. The fact that Roblox only will take down a game that was made and owned by a child predator after another corporation files a DMCA Copyright Infringement is horrible.
From cyber mob leader to cyber vigilante, crazy
he was never a cyber mob leader lol
Criticizing Roblox and making the knowledge of this issue mainstream is the only way for things to change; the stock price of Roblox has to dip eventually, which will anger the shareholders and force them to take more action into restructuring the company. The moderation team is heavily understaffed and many moderators lack training in distinguishing threats. I hope that this video will set off a chain of events, and more news entities will cover this.
And the fact that they have 1600 moderators only in 2022.
Roblox banned and sued ruben sim for calling them and and exposing predators
thanks for warning about the problem on roblox , it s important to parents know what is happing , and safe more kids
The squad animators conformed by MRobvious,Ribs, Notive and Nicksdaga
Nicksdaga is a mexican animator but he abused her sister when he has 11 years and her sister 4 years
3:50 developers take 70% while roblox takes 30%
Yes; but only for robux.
The DevEx system converts sums like 100,000 robux-which would cost $800 when purchasing-to $350. This means the developer, in turn, makes 30.625% of the original.
They forgot to mention that, but they were not wrong.
Ruben Sim is literally a gigachad, and he takes out those Roblox pedos too.
+1 Rep from THE VEROXUS EMPIRE!
MODERATORS AREN'T DOING ANYTHING AT ALL
@hayder0687 I mean, everything, everyone, relies on AI nowadays. Even people make AI arts and claimed it as they made it themselves.
Now, where is the fact that roblox moderators are "human moderators"?
Alternate title: Roblox Has a Minor Problem
Lol
A lot of this falls on Roblox for sure. but I have to say coming from someone who used to play tf2, Garry’s mod, minecraft and other games. when I was a kid a lot of other games that had community servers had actual staff and moderators on the server and I find it disturbing that almost no Roblox servers have that or the ones that do simply don’t have enough
Amazing documentary! Keep it up
Only ~3,000 content moderators surprised me. Thats bad
Must be a hard thing to talk about, thank you for sharing your experience with us Ms Berner ❤
The rule of taking action against users who bully harrass and discriminate others off platform is not enforced, a friend of mine who is a roblox developer was mass harassed, bullied and attack by another community on roblox, it was reported using the digital services act in the european union but it was denied because it happened "off platform" despite there being more than enough evidence and telling them about the rule where the owners are responsible for their own community based off what they tell them to do.
... Even though most of the evidence in the Ruben Sim case came from off-platform activities (Twitter posts and YT videos)
This is why my daughter can't play Roblox.
they glossed over the fact that roblox used to have safechat 💀
Oh yeah that and guest account which were perfect for children because no one could track the user and engage with them. They removed them because it was impossible for them to make money and sell robux to children if they didn’t have an account
I'm having a really hard time believing that the woman at 5:50 is an 18 years old. There's no way she's 18.
Shoutout to the big homie Ruben sim for keeping the platform safe
Wait till they learn about meep city🙏
ABSOLUTELY NO CHILDREN'S GAME SHOULD HAVE FULL CHAT FUNCTIONALITY. THIS IS WHY I LOVE NINTENDO! THEY ACTUALLY CARE
Nintendo also does not care. They just want the maximum amount of money possible from you
Nintendo will copyright anyone that uses anything made by nintendo (for money)
If this keeps on happening then roblox is cooked
finally. someone who gets it. now that such a big company has put out a statement maybe their stock will fall enough for them to care
i really hope the beginning of the end starts here, spread this pls, as someone who plays that trash daily unfortunately, i am sure from everything i've seen and heard that roblox has been trying to stay out of the public eye for very long so the real image of roblox doesn't spread, once most people on the internet know this roblox is going to be in BIG and i mean BIG trouble trust me
I've spent my many years playing on roblox, looking out for the newer and young players, keeping them from going to the darker corners
It’s disgusting of how some people in this world act.
kids shouldn't be online
Know that the problem is not the (majority of) moderators, but instead the soulless corpos more concerned about a number on a spreadsheet going up
3:46 Wrong way around 70% for the maker of the item 30% for roblox
So my future kids won't have Roblox, I guess.
why is ruben so handsome
