I began to use Kratom three times a day after my 2nd spinal fusion. I began with a very small dose while I weaned myself off of morphine and oxy. As I decreased my pain scripts, I increased my Kratom dose and thereby avoided the physical withdrawal symptoms that are associated with these pharmaceuticals. I have never used Kratom recreationally nor do I know any people who use it recreationally. That concept is completely foreign to me. When I have taken too much Kratom it gives me body tremors and creates extreme anxiety as well as nausea. It certainly didn’t get me high. I am now taking measured dosages of Kratom that helps alleviate most of the back and leg pain. With my limited budget and being underinsured, I can afford the Kratom, but I can no longer the pharmaceuticals, so Kratom is my only option to control the pain. I don’t know what I would do if the FDA banned Kratom sales.
It's remarkable reading your tale on it; as aside from spinal fusion (I have that as option for my stenosis) your story is my story. After being prescribed opioids to great relief, I found myself building a tolerance. Likewise there was a increasing awareness of dependency that made me very uneasy. I started taking kratom 10 years ago. Personally, I have had great success in its moderated use to wean from prescription drugs, both for pain and for unwanted cravings. I am so very sorry to those that have found such problems with the substance, but I would be in such a significantly worse place without finding this. I'm not deaf to the concerns of questions surrounding it, but I would absolutely suffer with a different situation.
Doesn't work for getting off Suboxone though. Suboxone blocks the opiod receptors that kratom tries to attach too. It does this weeks after you quit Suboxone too so by that time you would already be though the worst of it. Regular opiod withdrawal is peanuts compared to Suboxone withdrawal.
I see a damaged and traumatized family, clearly in denial about their sons death. They're looking for a fall guy because they believe it will bring them peace. It won't though... No matter how sad the situation is, I believe it is incredibly selfish and narrow-minded to say "even though it helps thousands of people, it needs to be illegal because my son wasn't one of them"
Stop making plants illegal. Stop making plants illegal. Haven’t these people learned when over 100 years of marijuana propaganda didn’t work? Zero documented cases directly related to Kratom yet hundreds of thousands of opioid deaths every year. Are you kidding me?
Everybody want to get on the victim train. These parents are no different than the anti 2nd amendment bunch. If this trend keeps up, we will be soon reduced to plastic 'sporks' for eating bugs.
Asian descend here 🙋🏻♀- Kratom, when used responsibly, can provide a natural energy boost. My parents whose in their late 60s (so does half of the elders in ny family), take a shot every morning, solely for this purposes. Unfortunately, its reputation has been tarnished by misuse, especially among younger generations who mix it with harmful substances, for extra high effect and they also love to mix it in coke to mask the bitter taste. Just like any natural remedy, such as opiates, moderation is key. When used in excess or improperly, even beneficial substances can become harmful.

And the Seckler family is still living a lavish lifestyle from the damage that they did due to creating oxycontin. But this country wants to worry about kratom???

@@CalifornianSupremacy I get where you’re coming from. That being said, more people die from Aleve or ibuprofen a year. Anything taken in large amounts can be unhealthy. We need to take anything in moderation.
I’ve safely consumed pure powdered AKA GMP Kratom daily for five years. I do so to help manage my constant pain. My multiple doctors who monitor my labs say it is safe. I’ve had no side effects, and I experience no high. I have quit without problems. I avoid extracts and concentrates. Kratom saves lives. Enjoy your day in paradise!
Started taking Kratom in 2017 for arthritis in my hip. I only ever took the leaf never the concentration. I recently had a hip replacement that removed the pain so I stopped taking it July of 2024. I believe this is a truly valuable substance that, yes, can be addictive. However, you can titrate down slowly depending on how much you take and step off it A LOT easier than most substances. Won't sugar coat, yes, some people will struggle getting off of it. What I take umbrage with, is that at the heart of trying to vilify Kratom is simply because Pharmaceutical companies aren't making money off of it so they gotta go on a smear and fear campaign. In my experience, this is a life changing substance for some people and honestly, if you're responsible with it, even if you become dependent on it, the benefits outweigh the risks.
I don't dispute your personal experience at all, and congratulations on your recovery. But the criticism is certainly not just about pharmaceutical companies smearing it. Look at various Reddit groups, etc. of people with serious addiction issues and consequences.
You've hit the nail right on the head. Absolutely as these pharmaceutical companies are learning that they're losing sales due to the availability of kratom, their first order of business, literally, is to run misinformation campaigns to get kratom banned everywhere. It is ALWAYS about $$ and greed masqueraded as genuine concern for the welfare of others.
@madmaxmedia If people really are dealing with "serious consequences" from using kratom, then they have serious issues with impulse control more than anything else. This is not oxycontin or vicodin we're talking about here. I have not experienced even the slightest increase in tolerance in the 17+ years I've been using kratom. The euphoria has a definite cap that limits its habit-forming properties and tolerance. THOSE two things are what make so many drugs detrimental because you're constantly chasing a high that gets harder and harder to achieve and you end up going broke or worse chasing that high. Kratom is not like that.
Kratom isn't available everywhere or used by much of the population nor known to the masses. To each their own. Everyone has their vice. They should be legal, all of them, but we are people, we prefer to know the warnings, and we likely will say yes or no or do this or do that, we should work on communicating better, without telling people what to do, but to let them make their own decisions - and be there for them when they fall or rise.
Honestly, did you hear the claims. You need to take 9 highly concentrated shots of MIT45 which is roughly $135 to have bad effects. What they don't tell you is that is equivalent to drinking 12 concentrated red bulls, or eating several pounds of sugar. Yes when you do extreme amounts of anything, even water, can lead to adverse effects. This whole thing is about money! Alcohol is linked to roughly 500 deaths per day to include DUIs, and they still worship that stuff!
I have been consuming kratom since 2015. The FDA has recently come out and released their studies on powdered kratom. Powdered Kratom is VERY safe. Extracts can be an issue for anyone with an addictive personality and just like anything else we ingest, can be harmful in huge servings. I hope powdered kratom will always be available because it saved this addicts life. As for extracts, they have caused so many issues. Almost all of these deaths mentioned have been related to an unnatural form of the leaf.
I have used Kratom for 14 years. It has had no negative impacts on my life. I use it instead of opioids for pain management. A car wreak caused me pain for the rest of my life. Thumbs down for this video demonizing something that helps so many. If it wasn’t this stuff it would have been something else this young man would use to the extremes.
I have SI joint pain. Advil and the rest are a joke. You can't get a real painkiller prescription. I hope I learned my lesson for having worked for a living.
Maybe the video demonized Kratom a bit, but honestly the industry DOES need regulation. Unchecked capitalism with mind altering substances is a terrible combination. Companies will continue to make these products stronger and more people will die. No regulation at all will cause a lot of deaths, and then next thing you know it'll just become illegal altogether. It happened with synthetic cannabinoids. These things should never be made illegal, but people should know what they're getting at the very least.
@@The_QuaaludeCheck online. In my country, at least, it's legal unless you're selling it for consumption, so companies just don't. We have some stores that sell, too. Here, you'd find it in naturopathic, natural medicine, or spiritual shops but a lot don't want to deal with the cops asking questions.
Kratom helped me come off of hard drugs and saved my life. I got clean, graduated college with two degrees, and have kept a steady job for the last two years. I still take it daily because it eliminates the cravings for harder stuff. It’s addictive, but it gave me my life back. A ban would be life-shattering for people like me.
You aren't clean if you use kratom daily, sorry to burst your bubble. Just a functioning addict which that takes something that's about as strong as codeine mixed with a light stimulant.
I live in massive pain and I couldn't get pain meds , I'd have nothing without it , 7 years of using never touched concentrated versions. Never had the need to go stronger than leaf .
Did anyone else think Jordan was a child, like some kind of teen in high school who overdid 5-hour energy and his mom just didn't know? Did you notice he died at 37, a fully grown adult man who should have known better? Coffee and coca leaves are also plants, natural stimulants. Responsible consumption is not an issue. If you concentrate them and overdo it, your heart will stop functioning. Just because it's a stimulant you're unfamiliar with doesn't mean you can abuse it without having problems. It's not the government's fault if you don't know better.
I have prednisone induced avascular necrosis. Kratom allows me to walk without assistance. I can't exercise without it. Keep doses low. Start with 1.5g per dose and never take more than 4g. Many people take much more than that. If you're one of those people, definitely cut back. Also, please avoid extracts and liquid kratom supplements. We as kratom advocates do not condone the sale and consumption of extracts. Most of us get very upset when we see extracts being widely sold at nearly every convenience store.

The focus here should really be Kratom concentrates. It would be difficult to overdose on ground Kratom leaf. You'd literally have to scoop a cup of powder into a glass and try to drink it. Also level of danger offered versus alternatives like opioids is quite minimal in comparison. This straightaway looks like an attempt at demonization rather than a rational view of concerns.
A deadly overdose on Kratom powder has never been seen. The plant contains agonists and antagonists. It's basically a built in ceiling. It's far more likely to overdose on Suboxone. The reason they want to ban it is it costs Big Pharma billions a year in prescriptions people aren't getting.
This is more the work of the vitamins and supplements industry than the pharmaceutical industry. Anyone can put together a product, slap a sexy label on it, and throw it up on shelves in gas stations without any regard for what’s actually in it or its purity and concentration let alone what the actual effects of the product are. This video said the first Federal study on Kratom’s effects is ongoing but won’t come out for several years, that’s through the efforts of big vitamin, a $200 billion industry.
And they wonder why legacy news is failing. This type of “documentary” used to work for a majority of pearl clutching families. Today most people, especially younger people are too informed. And it’s a shame because there is a need for information about this topic, including its risks, but the emotional pandering and skewed statistics (they briefly mention that almost all overdose deaths are combined with other drugs - but don’t dive into how that affects their data and the absurd increase) completely destroy their credibility.
Lol. Bringing in the pharma industry will standardize the doses at least and we will know how much gets you killed and how much heals depression. Right now, it is the fight to offer the biggest high. It will only lead one way, once enough people dies, it will be banned.
I've been taking kratom for going on 10 years ever since I've been in a bad car accident and injured my spine. This has truly been a life saver for me because the doctors wouldn't prescribe me anything for the pain. Without it, I have to call off work all the time and I'm in constant pain. I need this for my treatment
You just need to stop thinking you need something for the pain. Pills only make your body worse at dealing with pain. Only people dying of cancer should receive opiates. Period
It affects everyone differently, and yes red will tend to have more anti-inflammatory effects than the other strains. I can honestly say I have never received pain management effects from Kratom but I haven't found it in most other substances as well. Alcohol for me just removed my ability to care about pain, although I could feel it in full force. But I only drink Kratom to elevate my mood. But I do work with others who use it to manage pain and/or withdrawal symptoms and those friends say it works well. My suggestion to people is drink moderately like you would tea and coffee and to never ingest the powder. Well filtered Kratom tea will have all the benefits without the gastro-intestinal issues. Although I would also suggest to drink the tea with food to avoid light nausea.

@@BeautyIsMyLife using opiates and kratom do that. They make it so your body no longer has the ability to fight pain naturally. Then when addicts try to get clean everything hurts. It's temporary. This. After 15 years of 4 to 6 to 8 Roxys a day, kratom got me off of the chase. Even manages my pain although not nearly as well, I get through the day. It can become its own expensive addiction in and of itself very quickly. Especially for those with an addictive personality a la the people getting off "anything you need it to..."
@EddyA1337 not really. I've been using it for years. I get 100g of powder for 17 bucks and it lasts at least a couple weeks. That's 34 a month which is way less than my old 200$ a day habit.
So this whole video was people who are suseptible to addiction. It doesn't matter what the substance they will push it to addiction. I use Kratom daily to combat pain from radiation treatments. There are many days I skip completely. I would hate to see something that helps many of us banned due to so many being mentally weak and suseptible to addiction.
Kratom saved me from a life of alcohol and Percocet addiction. After trying Suboxone several times, methadone daily for the years and countless relapse, ever since i started talking the dried leaf i could function in society again and I'm finally on track to buying my first house. Granted, the concentrates may be another matter. I've never fooled with those
All the concentrates are, is the ability to use a smaller quantity for same effect but without the other toxins in the leaves which tend to cause upset stomach and headaches. It is still up to the consumer, how much to consume.
@@stinkycheese804 Technically you can filter out the biomass when your are brewing tea, just some shops serve it dirty. The concentrates aren't that much better, and remember to concentrate you are relying on Grain Alcohol or substances like Butane. They are clean for the most part, but most people have no idea how to dose them properly! I was shocked when the woman on this documentary claimed she had a habit of 9 concentrate shots a day! First that is roughly $135-$170 a day, and the equivalent of 27-38 teas a day! That is just an insane amount of any substance!
People being hospitalized after drinking 10 a day of anything are hard to take seriously. Not to diminish anyone's suffering, or addiction, but try that with one gallon water containers and you'll be hospitalized long before you reach 10.
As we should all know just because something is regulated doesn't mean that it's safe especially when the government gets their hands on it regulated however they see fit they can tax it however the f*** they want they need to stop putting their hands where it does not belong whether it's marijuana whether it's a natural supplement as kratom you don't they're literally overstepping their bounds it helps a multitude of people
And shall we go into how many lose their lives with alcohol and you don't see anybody doing s*** about that are going to make that illegal anytime soon p people should be allowed to do as they choose
just prohibit making products/extracts from it altogether. i'm from germany, it's not illegal here but there's no crazy strong extracts like in the US, and as long as it remains that way i don't think the risk is too high (albeit not zero either), with plant matter there is at least an upper limit to how much can be reasonably ingested, with extracts you can do absolutely crazy doses. it's just really dangerous
Me too. But it was never buying people's prescriptions that was a problem ,it was when they started pressing counterfeit pills out of fetty. I am sure I'd be dead if it weren't for Kratom
3 minutes in and I've heard an accusation of someone being killed by kratom, without evem the slightest attempt to substantiate the claim. I'm hoping I learn something that isn't totally based on emotional appeal. You feeling strongly about something means nothing without supporting data, especially if youre trying to ban something I decide to do and that nothing to do with you.
NO ONE has died from kratom. This propaganda opens with a lie. This Jordan guy died from something that a lazy, incompetent coroner didn't bother to track down. Another fentanyl death in a family with connections.
I don't like kratom, but the panic over this drug is wildly out of hand. It's not as dangerous as people want to make it out to be. Every death related to kratom was because of a mixture of drugs. I've been addicted to kratom for years, but I don't blame the drug. It's my own fault for allowing it to get out of control. Everyone wants something to blame rather than take responsibility for their life falling apart. "Oh, it's the drugs fault!" If your life spiraled out of control because of kratom use, then you were a mess to begin with.
Other accessible drugs that become much more dangerous when mixed are quite regulated and long term education campaigns have warned the public about them. Such as tylenol. Like the mom said in this video, “he didn’t know”. A huge part of the risk is public education and regulation.
I feel like these extracts and potent shots are going to get it regulated. I buy crushed leaf then grind it myself, and drink 3 grams of powder mixed in a shot of warm water. Been doing this for over ten years.
If you’re going to do Kratom make sure you buy from a reputable source and not your local gas station. A reputable source will lab test their product and have those results easily available to the consumer.
But which sources are reputable? How do you know? What is the criteria for a safe reputable source? Please people give us names. As long as you yourself are not advertising your own company, RUclips allows you to say the name, and that's what I want. I'm in Canada, so I would prefer a Canadian company, but you don't know or don't have the name of a Canadian company, any name of a safe supplier will be fine. Thanks so very much!

The real question should be why are the vast majority of people in our society feel so unhappy that they need to be completely numb just to carry on with daily life? We can find every last alkaloid on earth and we will never address the core problem. When “soccer moms,”as the generic investor bro so eloquently put it, are turning to capsules of unknown powder just to get through the day, there’s a problem, and it’s not as simple as to legislate or arrest our way out of it. We’ve been trying that for over a century at this point and it’s only gotten worse with each generation.
When it comes to mental illness, your American government and politicians couldn't care less. Like abortion, drug enforcement is about control and not about actually caring for the well being of people.
THIS! Either society needs to slow down and our next generation needs to learn at a young age how to deal with all of life’s challenges on emotional health, we will always be hopelessly dependent on a substance to cope in life. Why are so many people turning to substance to cope? We’ve been conditioned to believe everyone is just an addict and that’s their problem, that’s not the norm. Surprisingly it’s literally everyone. But this is historically true for generations. Every decade, it’s a new industry of substance thrown in our face to cope. I fear, it’ll never change.
Absurd to talk of the dangers of kratom while there are over 100,000 overdoses from fentanyl and pharmaceutical opioids every year in America. Why don’t we do something about that?
It is actually absurd to point out another problem and say we cannot talk about this problem because another is bigger. One problem doesn't solve another problem
At least with opioid and its derivate, its been long studied and understood by FDA and right now its under scrutiny. But this is whole new uncharted land
Kratom has been a wonderful for my hip pain and especially my mental health. Once I take it, it's hard to have a bad/negative thought and keeps me in a sociable uplifting mood. 👍🏿
Yup currently on powder kratom. I have been keeping track of my doses with a scale and reducing the dose every day by 0.1g. never take the kratom shots they are dangerous. Praying for everyone currently addicted and congratulations to everyone who got off of it.

I've been taking kratom for over almost 20 years. When it was only available online. I have neck and back damage, without using it I'd be on prescription drugs. Also it's cheep and after a short while, there no high or anything.
I wont tolerate kratom slander. Many people i know wouldnt be here without kratom. These are graduate level scholars and doctorate students mind you. Although it has its downsides the science is favored towards pharmaceuticals which have even worse effects. These plants will tell you when it is time to stop. I used to take 28 grams per day for energy and one day it just stopped being as useful and i stopped taking it simple as that. However during the time i was on it i needed it and it helped me get to the position im in today managing research greenhouses. Best drug ever but dont abuse it
If anything, I'm surprised there's not more of a pushback from two of the most profitable, addictive, and heavily lobbied industries, against what appears to be an almost unbelievably safe alternative to their product.
@@zakadams762 Any substance being heavily abused is going to lead to death. Alcohol Abuse accounts for around 180,000 deaths in the US each year by itself. 120,000 is from long term use, and 60,000 is from binge-drinking. As horrid as those figures are, nobody is suggesting to ban all alcohol like the prohibition era. Moderation is always key.
I was a longtime kratom user, so I'll say this. The problem isn't regular kratom leaf, it's companies that isolated the 7OH mitragynine, which is like 50 times stronger than the leaf. That stuff is just as powerful as hard drugs, and it landed me in the hospital for 4 days because of withdrawal syndrome. If anything, 7OH extracts will lead to the banning of kratom in general.
That’s been my concern too. I am firmly against drug prohibition but there needs to be some kind of regulation within the industry. This needs to be in tandem with an inquiry into the societal drivers of substance use. I personally believe that substance abuse is a maladaptive attempt to self-regulate dysfunction or trauma. On a macro scale you could say it is a barometer of the health of a society……
My problem though...I tried to use the regular leaf for my chronic back and neck pain and I couldn't get over the taste. I just couldn't gag it down anymore. A concentrated dose in a pill form or liquid would have helped me...but not like the garbage they are selling now.
I have a large kratom tree in my backyard. I grew it from a tiny twig. I used to have six but I didn’t have any room for them in my yard. Already have enough trees. It provides nice shade and the bees love it when the little yellow balls bloom. They smell great as well.
I’ve been using it for over five years for pain . Way better than the opioids. And to take to much you would just puke it up. Ask how I know. Now the concentrates that could be way different I don’t use those just the powder
I no longer take kratom but I support natural substances when used responsibly. Extracts have been purposely enhanced by humans and I don’t recommend taking kratom extracts. Taking that much in a tiny vial was never natures intent.
Been taking kratom for over a decade, moderation is key, as with anything in life. Lose the balance and bad things happen, we keep demonizing harmless plants, need to start prioritizing mental health
I love how they said that they "had to keep up with demand from the market". No, they just wanted to lean into the cashflow. They would've still made astounding profits from just leaf but that wasn't enough for the producers. Intentionally taking advantage of peoples' addictions is how you get natural medicines banned.

The weeks and months I go without Kratom I don't feel anything. Not even a craving. But every morning that I don't drink coffee is miserable. I am actually 3 years sober from alcohol and that withdrawal was pretty bad.
This plant has been amazing for my chronic pain. When whole-leaf powder is consumed responsibly, there aren't any issues. Overusing extracts and these various drinks are the problem.
Kratom was banned in Australia based on negative research paper authored in Thailand. Turns out the paper was financed by the Thai drug cartels who didn't want the competition.
What is sad is those in severe chronic pain and had no other options- took their opioids responsibly are now being ripped off meds and nobody cares about their pain. Same with Kratom- I didn’t touch it till I did research and found reputable seller. Only sought it out because medical keeps lowering pain meds, one doctor stating I’m not going to jail for you. I started kratom small and never went overboard. Looking for pain relief not a buzz. All the harm seems to come from taking too much. I lost many loved ones due to alcoholism. So many have died from that but you can buy it anywhere. I don’t know what the answer is. But for many opioids and kratom have helped so many from a lifetime of suffering- lose their only relief mostly because people take too much. Sending love and prayers to all - those who lost their pain relief, those addicted or any who lost a loved one.
I’ve noticed a surge in Kratom fear mongering content in the last few months. My life is much better as a Kratom user than it was an abuser of hard drugs. I’ve tried to parse through as much of research/medical literature as I can to understand the effects of Kratom on the organs/body. Much of what I’ve read the findings are relatively limited or inconclusive. There may very well be downside risks, especially with heavy use, but I’m having a hard time finding clear information on specific risks. Please enlighten me :)
This is infuriating. I am a diabetic using kratom leaf only for management of GI symptoms and diabetic inflammation. It's been an absolute game changer. I don't increase amounts of capsules I take, I skip days to manage tolerance. I've just skipped 3 days in 2 weeks to make sure my 5 gram dose works. The Hmong people in SE Asia use it traditionally as medicine, not drugs. Addiction is a US cultural problem, and corporate profiteering is just trying to get the Sacklers market share. It's pathetic. It's like Inca coca tea vs gring* c*caine. Don't fk with my tea and keep gangsters and junkies away from my access to therapy.

If I did not start self medicating with Kratom and cannabis, I would have OD'd on the prescription Dilaudid and Oxycontin that I was taking in efforts to minimize my chronic back pain. I dose with just enough to help with the pain and no more. I am not chasing any high, and frankly, don't even feel euphoria from the stuff. Between cannabis and Kratom I am able to modulate my pain symptoms and be a productive member of society and not feel like eating a bottle of opiates to end the dysphoria that THEY brought into my life. If the FDA or any other governmental entity makes Kraton illegal in the future it will force me to be on heavy opiates and it will be the end of me.
Its nice if it works like that. I manage my chronic neurological pain with cannabis only. The thing is, with extracts, these are not really a problem with cannabis because you hit a hard limit at close to 100% THC, and if no other chemicals are cut in, if its all from the plant, you can manage those. With Kratom, you need to stay close to the plant, no added chemicals, only basic extracts. Kratom saved my job when I couldn't access my ADHD medication. The inability of some adults to control themselves should NOT rob me or anyone else of the opportunity to improve their lives responsibly. I'm now off Kratom (easily with tapering) and going back on ADHD medication this week. Liberty matters.
Kratom has however, slightly different chemical compositions due to maturity of the leaf. That is why there are 4 different strains with slightly different effects. But the big difference between coffee and kratom for me is I can drink Kratom within 5 minutes of going to sleep, and I am out in minutes. Coffee would have me laying in my thoughts for hours.

I dont like it when people demonize something that helps so many just because of their own issues of over consumption and inability to follow instructions.
Seems to me that no-one is mentioning the elephant in the room here! WHY??? Why do so many ordinary Americans want to get off their faces?? This plant grows around the villages in Indonesia and has done for centuries. They are poor people, poor in a way unknown in America yet they don't abuse it. The synthetic opioids are available on prescription across the world, but America has a unique problem in scale of abuse. Whole towns, young and old. It's not so much the mechanics of the particular drugs that's the problem, it's the people. They have turned a herbal medicine into something super strength that they're now addicted to.. because the people want to get out of it. What's going on in America that so few people are prepared to be fully conscious in life.THATS the question that needs answering.
Did your fusion benefit you overall?
It's remarkable reading your tale on it; as aside from spinal fusion (I have that as option for my stenosis) your story is my story.
After being prescribed opioids to great relief, I found myself building a tolerance. Likewise there was a increasing awareness of dependency that made me very uneasy.

Very well said.

Do the deep research and one will find how it's all on purpose via our gov
It's not mental illness. The society is ill and healthy people seem maladjusted

We're doing something about fentanyl at least, this drug should be next for our restriction
Sugar is responsible for exponentially more deaths and serious health issues than kratom.
At least with opioid and its derivate, its been long studied and understood by FDA and right now its under scrutiny. But this is whole new uncharted land
@@Omer1996E.CIf you mean doing something by having a wide open border making it easier to traffic drugs then yea we’re doing something.
Increasing tolerance is a problem. This is why I don't drink Red Bull all the time, in fact almost never. So when I do need it, it will work for me.
less than 90 people died in 17 months in US
More people die from acetaminophen every year. Where is your outrage for Tylenol?
Everywhere?
Big Pharma makes money off Tylenol so that doesn't matter. Its the same way Israel gets billions of dollars every year to commit genocide on everyone around them why would the government care the weapon manufacturers are making billions from selling thier 💣 to America
I've been taking kratom for over almost 20 years. When it was only available online. I have neck and back damage, without using it I'd be on prescription drugs. Also it's cheep and after a short while, there no high or anything.
"and after a short while, there no high or anything."
Not speculating or making any other point than saying, that is tolerance.
Sixty seconds in and I could tell this is a hit piece.
Best drug ever but dont abuse it
I couldn't agree more with your statement.

Yes this !
Contact the American kratom association
Yes yes yes
If anything, I'm surprised there's not more of a pushback from two of the most profitable, addictive, and heavily lobbied industries, against what appears to be an almost unbelievably safe alternative to their product.
It’s an awesome gateway drug into the world of opiates so they actually love it!
youre looking at it
They tried to get it banned in USA, failed.. then tried to get the WHO to ban it worldwide, failed again....
They are still in the stage of astroturfing public opinion by paying for news media opinion hit pieces like this
Jordan could have more easily died from energy drinks
dont even bring up motorcycles
energy drinks are another thing not regulated because they label it a dietary supplement, but there isn’t a smear campaign about them
Facts! My guess is Bloomberg journalists convinced this lady that it was Kratom that caused his death.
Or aspirin
Kratom is an important medicine to many.
7OH IS NOT KRATOM
Stick with full spectrum and avoid the extracts
kratom saved my life and tens of thousands of others.

@@zakadams762 From what?
With all the deaths they claim I wonder what else was in the system.
Irresponsible users. case dismissed.

kratom saved my life from a major pill disease/addiction . its been used for thousands of years in south east asia
Americans are not Southeast Asians.
@@LanielDarson339
Some are. What are you saying?
I appreciate that at least they stated the 'kratom related deaths' had other substances in their system as well..
This is what i see happening. 100%
100%!!!!!
My problem though...I tried to use the regular leaf for my chronic back and neck pain and I couldn't get over the taste. I just couldn't gag it down anymore. A concentrated dose in a pill form or liquid would have helped me...but not like the garbage they are selling now.
@ScottAdamsVT have you tried making kratom tea? It can be flavored. It still tastes bad, but not AS bad
You are putting negative light on something that is helping 100x more people than it hurts.
Why don't you tell us who sponsored this video, Bloomberg?
Remember Bloomberg owns pharmaceutical shares.
It’s true, if you take too much leaf at a time, you’ll throw it up not die. Find your dose.
@@CountessRatsazz absolutely!
The high-grade over-engineered extracts and derivatives are the problem, not the plant.
I love how they said that they "had to keep up with demand from the market". No, they just wanted to lean into the cashflow. They would've still made astounding profits from just leaf but that wasn't enough for the producers. Intentionally taking advantage of peoples' addictions is how you get natural medicines banned.
Recovering pill head here✌🏼.. i was an Opioid addict for 15 years of my adult life.. KRATOM was what allowed me for the first time to see the path through the trees. I was lost in a forest and could not see my way out.
Kratom is a life saving plant
True that🙌
And can be the destroyer of families when addiction kicks in. 💔
@@04ingoditrust04 so is sugar, and sugar substitutes such as corn syrup. The diabetes wave kills more people than hard drugs and destroys families, however, nobody is asking to ban or regulate these additives.
Kratom isn’t the issue, it’s addiction. If you think Kratom is the cause of OD’s and suicides you have no clue what you’re talking about. Kratom is often mixed with way harder drugs as well.
What about food abuse and how many people die from obesity..?
Just sucks that one day it will probably be a controlled substance and just by having it or using it like we are doing now, you will be thrown in jail and have your life ruined. How is that the right approach
I have really bad back pain from working carpentry my whole life. I don't drink, I don't smoke I only take kratom and it works great. Yes it's addictive but so is caffeine.
And the withdrawal symptoms are tolerable, not like actual pain killers.
Same bro . Same
The weeks and months I go without Kratom I don't feel anything.
Kratom become problem when pharma cannot patent it
It’s a plant & just like marijuana plant it can’t be patented bc plants can’t be patented
Kratom was banned in Australia based on negative research paper authored in Thailand. Turns out the paper was financed by the Thai drug cartels who didn't want the competition.
kratom saves people. It’s banned where I live, and that made me drink because I’m so depressed and nervous all the time. Kratom helped.
It's endlessly crazy what sort of stuff I can buy in a gas station.
Indeed.
Meanwhile serious chronic pain sufferers get little to no help. Our country is bizarre.
You could always find white crosses at gas stations

How can she feel duped? I don't think anywhere in the kratom industry it says to drink 10 bottles a day. Smh
At a minimum, the concentrated forms often sold in gas stations and other dubious places should be avoided.
The high end overengineered stuff brings all the problems you get from the regular op**tes you seek to avoid.

Fun fact, Kratom and coffee are part of the same family.
Probably why they are so synergistic
Kratom has however, slightly different chemical compositions due to maturity of the leaf. That is why there are 4 different strains with slightly different effects. But the big difference between coffee and kratom for me is I can drink Kratom within 5 minutes of going to sleep, and I am out in minutes. Coffee would have me laying in my thoughts for hours.

So legalize all hard drugs in Portland, Oregon, but regulate Kratom?
People need to take ALL precautions when buying things, even toys have killed. Responsibility folks. Do your due diligence. Now, I also feel for the families, but we don't need to make public policy based solely on feelings.
The answer is obvious, regulate the natural product for quality and potency, make the pure hydroxy drug product a prescription item.
