Season pass preview night seems like a bad night to determine if an item is overwhelming you or not.. larger percentage of people will have the dining plan and will be more excited to try something new as well.
As someone that has a poultry allergy (deathly allergic) it’s hard to justify my all season dining plan . Simply because many places cook things in the same grease as chicken or use the same utensils to pick it up. So aggravating
it really felt like things changed after 2021 and not due to covid. After the 2021 viral story of a California man paying off loans by eating at 6 Flags daily, It seemed amusement parks all of a sudden realized there was people eating the dining plan daily, coming to the parks sometimes exclusively to eat and go.
The Beast is a horrible ride now no matter what seat you sit in.. Raven and legend are far superior to the beast now and voyage is in a whole other category
I was lucky enough to get one of those double stack chicken sammiches. It was very good. I think season passholder preview day was a bad day to decide to not serve it anymore. Of course the new item on the menu is going to be most popular. Add to that that probably everyone that went in there on preview night had the meal plan. Should have either waited to roll it out until the park was fully open, or at least waited to decide to not do it until after a couple weekends just to see if it fell off in popularity. I was fully ready to get the BBLT at Brewhouse, but I seen the double stack so I wanted to try that. I think THATS why it was so popular on passholder day. It was the new thing.
Panda Express changed their All Season Dining Pass option from: 2 entrees and a side to 1 entree and a side for 2024!! I was surprised, but then again, could it be because PE is an national chain housed w/in KI... maybe KI had to negotiate portion size to keep it on the dining plan? Coney BBQ dropped Sidewinder Fries and now have regular fries... Portions also smaller!! 😮🎉
I like that this podcast is partly a KI foodie channel now 😅😅 I need other people to tell me what's good cause I tend to not explore when I pay per item
Ryan, you could always pay the $2 upcharge, and get onion rings at Brewhouse instead. I do every now and then because anywhere else than Brewhouse, and i HATE tater tots. That is the only place i eat them. Don is right. The Carolina mustard is top notch on those tots.
Double chicken sandwich will be back - if you bought it was a time issue you've never worked in a kitchen - or cooked. It was a supplier issue - simple as that. Be back by July.
Also with the nacho fries - one, why are you commenting on food business if you clearly have no clue about food business. How is introducing two and picking one unusual? Sigh... Again a vendor issue - keep pork since multiple items use pork. Eliminate hamburger since nothing else does. Didn't sell enough to justify ordering the product. And so you know - that's when decisions are made - when you need to set up orders. Not complicated!
Maybe I'm spoiled and I'm 45 years old I went to culinary school at a Le Cordon Bleu accredited masterchef's institution in the early 2000s way way before this big so-called foodie trend became a thing but the food at Kings Island is absolutely disgusting no matter where you go! There's absolutely nothing there that's worth even half of what they charge, LaRosa's Pizza is halfway decent because it's in the theme park and it's worth about 99 cents a slice... Cedar Fair should be ashamed the difference in quality between Cedar Point and Kings Island food it's incredible how much worse Kings Island is

Had the street taco fries and the idea is great but the crema makes the fries soggy. Still an enjoyable meal on the dining plan.
