Mystic Timbers, hands down. I was a pass holder as a teen and got away from going as an adult. When u had kids of my own, we started going back. We've been inseparable ever since. Coming up on 10 years straight as pass holders. Everything about KI is magical, the atmosphere, the rides, the anesthetic, the employees. It's wonderful. Too many great memories to pick just one.
This place is THE BEST. I am 3 hours away from Kings Island and worked at Cedar Point for 5 seasons. This by FAR is a much better place regarding operations for certain. Reminds me of our operations EXPECTATIONS when I worked at Cedar Point. Also, the International Restaurant has some of the BEST FOOD and views of the park. Too bad it's not open daily as it was 'back in the day'. Had THE BEST Monte Cristo sandwiches of my life here and they used to serve some of THE BEST prime rib here as well. It is open during WinterFest, so you can enjoy a great meal, outstanding views of the park in its Christmas glory, and also some alcoholic drinks of you're of age. A SPECTACULAR video. Thank you for this terrific production.
Best place to eat is on international street. It is the spot where they grill turkey legs and othe smoked meats. Turkey leg is by far best menu item in the park.
Kings Island is a great park but anyone who says it's the best park in America clearly hasn't made that drive three hours to the north within the same state.
I’m a season pass holder to both and I’d rather go to Kings Island any day over that park to the north. Don’t get me wrong, Cedar Point is great and absolutely has a better coaster lineup, but it’s a chore to ride them…no less than 60 minutes for the major coasters (way more on weekends), the operations are declining, frequent breakdowns…etc. For the overall experience, I’ll take Kings Island any day.
Kings Island is my second favorite Cedar Fair park just behind Cedar Point, but only by a narrow margin. The ride lineup is one of the best in country, and the operations are some of the most efficient you'll ever come across.
Operations is better than CP, workers are generally better than CP because Cincy metro has real workers and not temp immigrants flown to Sandusky. Food in 2022 was generally better at KI and offered wings because Chickies and Petes was down most of 2022 and the boardwalk wasn't open yet.
I love this effing park so much! Diamondback and Mystic Timbers go between first for me but i give the slight edge to mystic. Back row is best on each one. Also fav memory was on passholder preview 2024 when i got a night ride on diamondback 2 minutes before park close and the pitch black ride mixed with the insane SUSTAINED EJECTOR just hit home for me😂 visit kings island!
I rode Sol Spin and although I love the Enterprise the seats were SO SMALL. I know Italians are short but goddamn Zamperla, fire the engineer that designed those seats.
@@ParkHoppersProductionsThis IS a fantastic ride. Great capacity for a flat ride, and rode it at WinterFest!! Cold as a mother in law's kiss, but so much fun!!
SAME! Never met another person that loved SOB but my whole family adored that ride and we all were upset when it went away. It was unavoidable but it was still sad
KI is a Great park! The Racer got a complete retrack for this year. I’m excited to get some rides on both blue and red sides. Mystic Timbers isn’t in my Top 4 at KI. I’ve rode it several times too.
I have been going to Kings island for 14 years and I love it. It’s my home CF park. The brew house is amazing. I love grain and grill. Also Festus house. Also grain and grill is good for charging your phone.
I habe been going to kings island basically since i was born. Riding the beast was probably my favorite since i could ride it. Me and my family would always get in line right before the park closed and would always get on right before midnight.
I heard Grain and Grill replaced the full service Skyline restaurant at the front. I haven't been to Ohio since Oct. 28, 2022 and there was no Grain and Grill back then. Also Chicken Shack is #1 and the island spot one during summer waterpark season is up there too. Also Enrique's was named Hank's back then but I approve of that name change.
For food, you left out Skyline Chili and the famous Blue Ice Cream. Now, I understand Skyline isn’t for everyone. It is the most popular regional food for Cincinnati. I wouldn’t suggest an out of towner to try it in Kings Island. There are plenty of Skyline’s and other Cincinnati style chili places to go to try it first. And I believe, Skyline will let you sample their 3-way if you tell them it’s your first time. If you don’t like it, they have very good salads.
I love chili and I've lived around Cincinnati my whole life. At age 56, I have yet to understand people's obsession with Skyline (or even Gold Star Chili). No texture to it and it tastes like wallpaper paste with hints of cinnamon and chocolate. I don't even like the smell of that crap.
The thing that people visiting now, especially if you are from out of town and younger than 30 is that the people who stsrted Kings Island did so with a special love in their heart for the park and desired for it to be a world class ecperience for famimlies and coaster enthusiasts. The quality of rides in their own time and rhe variety kf those rides has dropped since Cedar Fair took over as have the quality of announcements for rides. The park is loved and treasured by locals because of all of the industry firsts pioneered there. All of that said if Kings Island is ever to be treated with the kond of love and effection its openers desired again it will nred to get out from under Six Flags ownership. Theres a feeling of bejng relegated to the "family park" and being farmed for our money.
Cedar Point def has a better lineup, but its a WORKOUT to get on every coaster in the park, even with fastlane plus. Kings island is so much more laid back and its lineup is still fantastic. Orion, Diamondback and Mystic Timbers would all be top 5s in any other park
I was just a Cedar Point and I like Kings Island hands down. Food, ride selection, atmosphere. Cedar Point is still great. On the lake. The animals. Ohio shines with both parks.
Coming from an enthusiast, Cedar Point has the better lineup. However, I prefer the layout, operations, and atmosphere of Kings Island. Also, it would be awesome to see a RMC installed soon.
I can respect your top five. Only thing that I would challenge you on is Mystic Timbers being the best. Beast, Orion, and Diamondback by far supercede MT. If you ride MT it's a better ride at night but ride the Beast at night first
It’s hard to get a night ride on the beast but to this day there is no other coaster experience like it Also never have I witnessed a video that claims KI to be anything special, so I appreciate this video a lot as it is my home park. My favorite memory is easily the day I rode Son of Beast 15 times. Having ridden it with and without the loop I’ll miss that coaster
I'm going for my first time this coming May. Planning on spending a whole Saturday there. What advise would you have for what the first few rides to head for (after first arriving)?
Im in Missouri was kind of wanting to take my daughter somewhere near here. Her cousins and aunt going to cali disney . Especially because I would have to take her dog with us. Wondering if this spot is worth going to
@@ParkHoppersProductions YOU are DEFINITELY A MASTER of your craft. These videos are awesome and worthy of being marketing prom for the park!! Beyond excellent quality and professionalism in ALL aspects.
I just took my kids to kings on this.May be a hot take with that sad.I feel mystic timbers is overrated we got better rides on the racer and Orian sadly the Beast was not open tho it's in my top 5 as for Mistic timbers it not in my top 15
I hated mystic timbers it isnt smooth at all when it whips around turns it is very uncomfortable i wanted to like it and was so hyped to ride it but it is an absolutely meh ride at best. My favorite ride is orion but i really like banshee for its inversions and loops just as much
@@ParkHoppersProductionsCedar Point is lacking a lot more than that as well. They're NOT what they used to be. No wonder the rankings of Kings Island are getting higher to the TOP 5 parks in the USA, and Cedar Point is slipped DOWN the list for the past two years. The 50th anniversary season at Kings Island was STUNNING BEYOND WORDS. Phantom Theater Encore was a HIT! The BEAUTIFUL repainted Racer, brought tears to my eyes!! And the staff members, ALL WONDERFUL PEOPLE. The Fireworks Fun and Fifty was a show NOT TO MISS. My only complaint is that they removed the Vortex. Probably my most favorite ride there, aside from The Beast. Should have gotten rid of Invertigo. Other than that, Kings Island is DEFINITELY MY HAPPY PLACE. ❤

Yes KI is very magical with everything from the theming, rides, workers, operations I absolutely love it thanks for the comment

Riding the beast at night is awesome and is definitely my favorite ride at kings island
I agree !! Night ride is the best
Back seat is best!
This park as a whole is one of the best I’ve ever experienced. Orion is easily my favorite ride at the park and the atmosphere here is so good!
Yes I completely agree the atmosphere here is so good ! Thanks for the comment man !
Best place to eat is on international street. It is the spot where they grill turkey legs and othe smoked meats. Turkey leg is by far best menu item in the park.
I think it’s grill and grain ?
Blue Ice Cream is BAE - it's not a full experience without that
I agree and can’t believe I forgot it :(

the beast is my favorite ride in the world
Personally, banshee might be the best ride, used to be vortex before that got torn down
The Beast at night isn't a ride. Its an Experience!
I rode Sol Spin and although I love the Enterprise the seats were SO SMALL. I know Italians are short but goddamn Zamperla, fire the engineer that designed those seats.
Yeah the seats are very small ! I noticed that ! It’s a great ride though and the lighting package makes it great at night !
@@ParkHoppersProductionsThis IS a fantastic ride. Great capacity for a flat ride, and rode it at WinterFest!! Cold as a mother in law's kiss, but so much fun!!
Favorite Right Now: The Beast (At Night) or Diamondback

i love the banshee inverted coaster hands down best
First loop roller coaster I ever rode was the vortex. R.I.P
