Pro tip, if you want to get there early, get there EARLY. Park opens at 4 today, they will open the parking lot gates at 3:30. People will start lining up at the parking lot gares at 2:30. Either plan on sitting in your car for an hour, or wait about 20 mins.
BEAST: night rides.. be prepared to wait but its SO worth it.. it used to be that id say go on the vortex right after, close your eyes and lift your arms and legs but that craziness is now gone.. RIP
My kid is just now tall enough to ride some coaters, year and a half ago the Beastie (Woodstock express) was a little to much for her. What would you recommend to start with? I know my love of coasters started 30 years ago when my dad forced me to ride Magnum.
You can race to get in line first....OR you can go first thing to the larger merch stores in the park because they WILL be selling some limited amounts of the card packs
@@TP_Recommendations I got 3 packs one for the Beast and I got on the first train of the season on it, not including the pass holder preview day, one pack for Invertigo and one for Diamondback.
Besides the major coasters, I would say don’t miss some of the lesser supporting coasters, like the Bat and the Racer. The Bat is one of the few Arrow built free swinging suspended coasters left and is one of the best. The Racer has a history behind it as it is the coaster that re-kindled the love of wooden coasters and is an ACE landmark. I actually got pretty wet on the Charlie Brown log ride, so don’t let its relatively small size fool you into thinking you will come off dry. Also the Woodstock Express coaster is the kid’s wooden coaster and the biggest of the kiddie and junior coasters. It can be seen as a step up for when a little kid graduates from the Great Pumpkin Coaster and Flying Ace Ariel Chase.
Inspired plan of attack; I only got one ride on Flight of Fear and my favourite coaster in Diamondback. It's one of if not the best amusement park I've visited. KI is best in early June; I think it was June 6th through 9th for me last year in 2023. Thanks for posting!

Jackson & Dustin have never gotten the epic night ride on The Beast. That is happening this trip. I’ve watched many of your videos and you do an excellent job on the content. Thanks for what you do!
I haven't been there since 2011. Do they allow pov vids to be taken on coasters using an action cam? They didn't a decade ago. I have an insta360 I'd love to use.
We visit Kings Islands tomorrow. We have been at Cedar Pointv 2 days ago and the Locker policy was so annoying. Maybe you can answer me, can you go with your backpack to the ride and is there a place to put the bags. Can you leave things in your pockets? I am from Germany and this is common in every European park.
If you are a plus sized, dont expect to ride a coaster or a thrill ride. None can hold a person over 300 lbs. This country has been and continues to be obese, yet ride designers can't make 2-4 seats on every ride that can accommodate bigger people. My son was an offensive lineman on his high school football team. He is a big young man. The real reason the superbowl winners go to Disneyland or Disney World is that most of the rides can hold everybody, regardless of size. Oh and it doesn't help that "They're waiting on a part" for The Beast.

The last few times (Earlier this summer) I’ve been to KI, Beast was down. I’ve never been able to ride Beast and I want to get at least one before they inevitably close it for good sometime in the future.

Totally agree with early June visits. Weekdays probably don’t even need a fastlane then. Love this park and the layout makes it so easy to get anywhere super fast. (Except you, Bat).
my plan of attack is always fof and stunt coaster when the park opens. these rides do not put people through very fast. we usually do rides until 1 then eat and go to soak city in the hot part of the day. then do rides after dinner. But i usually stay multiple days. sometimes a whole week.
I'm taking my wife and son there on May 22 and 23. I grew up in Indiana and always visited the park at least twice a year from kid-college, but moved away in 1987. Since then, I've only made it back once in 1994. By then, Fred Flintstone was gone and Paramount owned the park - it was cool to run into the occasional Klingon or Romulan. Anyway, this will be my first time back in 30 years! I'm excited to visit again - I'm sure it will feel like an old friend with some really great new coasters.
Really cool. Grew up there, worked there. Still live nearby but going again for the first time in 7 years, taking a group of youth on a field trip. I enjoyed the park more under paramount ownership but cedar fair has done well with it.
@@Its_Clouds It was mostly as great as I remember! I had a few issues with it, but they were probably mostly related to going so early in the season. The Eiffel Tower was closed without explanation - just closed the entire time. The same is true of The Beast. There were still plenty of really great rides running, but I was really looking forward to both. We took a break at one point and rode the train around the park. I was a little disappointed to learn that it would not be held up by bandits, nor would we get shot at with "bullets" splashing in a pond. Obviously not a deal breaker - just a little sad. The early date of the visit had the benefit of most of the rides being pretty much walk-on, but I didn't realize that the park would be closing at 6pm instead of 10. That changes this weekend. I have some ride recommendations, if you're interested: Don't bother with Invertigo. Even a short line takes forever, it's not really that fun, and it's a good way to wind up with a neck injury - absolutely brutal. I could hear a LOT of loud swearing from fellow riders, and not the good kind. The line for Flight of Fear also took an abnormally long time for how short the line was, but it was pretty good despite of not being dark enough for a dark ride. Now for the good: The Racer has recently been reworked and is very smooth again! I have to admit, though, it seemed very tame compared to some of the new lineup: Orion, Mystic Timbers, and Diamondback were all spectacular! Absolutely the park highlights. Kings Island is a solid park. I've been there twice, and it never disappoints. It is my number 2 park behind only Hersheypark.

@@TP_Recommendations Indeed. Cedar Point has a slightly better coaster lineup but KI's ops atmosphere and food are top notch for Cedar Fair.

Avoid the crowds thats easy dont go on week ends however ive had a season pass sence 1999 and only live an hour away

Would the “plan of attack” work during the Halloween haunt?
If you’re going for the haunts then I recommend a fast lane for them or do them right as they open and move quick. :)
