      once you find out that no one actually gives a shit about you..it gets really depressing and you start noticing how selfish people are. you're either back to square one, or you're going to work really hard on your self character to afford decent people worthy of being your friend.

    This series has honestly been so helpful and wonderful in every regard. As someone who has battled with social and performance anxiety as long as I can remember, your breakdown of explaining the disorder as well as the steps to take to start to tackle it could not have been better. I found myself relating very much to a lot of it as well as recognizing a lot of the thought processes behind it as I have found through my own research. I can tell a lot of thought went through each video and I have yet to find anything like this series on RUclips for social anxiety. Thank you for the time you took to make it and the work you put behind it, it does not go unappreciated ❤︎☼✌︎

    Ohhh god thank you so much for your video 😍 This is extreeemely helpful! Also, I love your voice, it's so calming and makes these exercises seem much less frightening 🙂 I've failed so many times trying to battle anxiety with breathing techniques, meditations, exposure therapy etc. etc. (all suggested in psychotherapy) and I was always wondering why it wouldn't get any better, even though I exposed myself regularly. My therapist always told me to keep on trying until it gets better, even though I've been exposing myself for 10 years now, with no changes. She made me feel like I wasn't trying hard enough. With the Clark Wells model it all makes sense 😮I'm gonna try all these exercises. Thank you sooo so so much!

    This can be helpful for people with social anxiety. Think of one Time somebody else has done something embarrassing... I’m waiting..... you can’t 9/10 people couldn’t care less about you making a mistake or something like this, if the 10% that do care aren’t going any where in life, because they are constantly judging others.

    I just found you while trying to decide if I should go to a birthday party or not... Thank you for sharing!
    13:02 I've actually fell over the street before. At the time I couldn't breath because all the people had gathered around me asking if I was ok. Gladly I was with someone that picked me up of the floor and took me out of there before I started crying.
    If I only take into consideration the fall part is kind of a funny/weird story because of how dramatic it was: I was Friday night and I was crossing the street, tripped on the side walk, hit my head on a small post, spined and fall down on the floor along with my 1 week phone. :) All the people probably just thought that I was drunk

    I used to go to therapy about a year ago. I stopped, because my therapist kept saying my anxiety attacks and abnormal stress periods are „common in my age”. Although, I still to this day feel it’s not and I feel so bad without any diagnosis or at least some help. In fact my anxiety attacks are getting worse every week, but I’m scared of finding a new therapist. However stupid tgis sounds, what do you think I should do?

      Hello there! Before jumping and going straightforward to a psychotherapist you need to see a psychiatrist who is a doctor (which is different from a therapist who isn't a doctor) and who's gonna be responsible for diagnosing you first then deciding on the type of your therapy, either by keeping you or sending you to a therapist

      Make sure to start on a very low dose :D I've had experience where very bad things happen when you start on a higher dose, and very positive results when they start/stay low and work up slowly :)

    • @KatAmarie
      @KatAmarie  6 лет назад +20

      Of course anti depressants in normal dosages cause trouble for people who don’t suffer form depression. What do you expect? They’re supposed to make things right when they are not. Still, I would be very careful about scaring people with side effects. Just because you experienced a problem doesn’t mean someone else will. Still - medication should be a temporary answer to social anxiety. Therapy is the way to go. I’ve spoken about it so many times before.

    It's insecurity. People have social anxiety because over and over they've let a negative experience affect their perspective and then they could attract more negative attention. Then it becomes an identity. You think you're less than. I think that the hardest part is overcoming any negative limits you put on yourself. When I was insecure I remember it was just so bad and I avoided eye contact and the rudest girls (now- that i see it clearly) walked by and laughed at me for avoiding eye contact... So I had to deal with that extra negativity on top of my anxiety. Social anxiety is an insecurity that draws more negativity to you, then you get more insecure. But now that I think about it, those girls were assholes. Now that I'm over my anxiety, that's never happened to me again because I don't let people scare me anymore nor walk all over me.
