I had a pontoon at a covered dock it was nothing but wook water spiders and birds crap on it spider were just as bad you are cleaning all the time 2 times a year you take it out of the water to clean pontoon s you can buy a lot of gas and travel different places to fish if you buy a trailer buy drive on tandem axle hope that was some help good luck with your choice
My problem is my age my Health have a bass can’t load and unload anymore havnt use in 4 years and I just live a 1 mile to dock thanks for comment
Get the boat Terry it would be a great idea especially Yu getting back to fishing. Get out on the open water. I've learned that fishing is good therapy as well. It helps ya out in different ways. Yu need to do it ole friend. I honestly wouldn't worry about a dock slip. I would just pull the boat back and forth. Save ya some money on that. Besides that part of the whole fun of having a boat is pulling it back and forth. Loading and unloading it into the water. But yes get the boat it would be good for ya and Yu would be doing it in style. Go for it brother. God bless ya

Get the boat you only live once its a shame you dont have a friend tht lives on the lake you could leave your boat there what about trailer it back to the house I dont like the mercs id rather see a Yamaha or Suzuki I hope yall get the boat what about a Carolina skiff I have one I love it l im excited for yall maybe i can go fishing with yall oneday😊.
