Hey Arktix, have you seen that Guerrilla has put up a memorial to Lance Reddick in the northern part of the island where Aloy meets Seyka?

I also found another (less explicit) memorial ages ago on an island on the way to Legacy's Landfall.
At least on the PC version (1.4.59 right now), the instant-kill method doesn't seem to work. The Bilegut takes some frost buildup when the Stingspawn die, but definitely doesn't die itself.
Also, I've found that the ropecaster rarely keeps it roped down for very long, and it's really tough to find armor plates to hit with frost arrows without degrading it anyway. So I just freeze it and then hit the egg pods with a sharpshot bow a couple times, and it ends up being quicker and easier.

I'm late to the party but I'm playing through Burning Shores for the first time now, and this video is an absolute lifesaver. I've been trying to stealth my way through disabling those two generators at the Hollywood area, but Seyka refuses to shoot the core unless you've killed the Bileguts. I nearly had a conniption stumbling my way though the first Bilegut introduction, and I was dreading having to kill two of them at once for the generator mission, but this video has successfully relieved my tension headache. Thanks for making these guides :)
I didn't know about the elemental tricks. Thanks for that. I pretty much what you show except I don't tie down. I clear those damn Stingspawns first, sneak up to Bilegut to freeze it, and shoot its pack with the bolt blaster like you do. If it's not enough, I throw down a smoke bomb, reload, and shoot its other pack.

Bilegut quickly became one of my favourite machines. Though you share methodical and diverse damage implementations, i find i just love to strip machines of all lootable parts. I think that is in part due to the resource video you did. Either way, you've provided new ways to enjoy the gsme further. Appreciate it.

Thanks for this, I had to abort my UH attempt on Caldron Theta as I ran out of sludge, keep forgetting about smoke bombs & how cheap Warrior bow ammo is I rarely use them as my play style is normally a ranged sniper. I think I'll go back & try again.

I just finished the DLC today and I was expecting this content from your channel, great as always! I had a very hard time with the Apex in the cauldron, NG+ UH. Funny story, when I cleared the cauldron, I went to this same site to farm the apex hearts from this frogs, with the idea of overriding one in order to help me with the apex, only to find they don't meddle with the other's area 😭. Thanks Arktix, I'm expecting now your video on the Arena challenges from the DLC!

Awesome guide as usual! Those demon frogs really move fast for something so big 😅 I have to admit that since I found out about the Chain Burst strategy, that's all I've used as long as I have enough valor - there's just something satisfying about watching them die so quickly 🤣

On a side note, I found out that when you go to cauldron Theta and learn to override the Bilegut, then start a NG+ you can override the Bilegut without going into Theta in that NG+. Seems like a bug to me.
I noticed from my machine catalog Waterwings are unlocked as well there just aren't that many sites until you progress in the story.

1.26 patched the route.
Though some people in the discord are plotting a new route, we don't have an alternative yet.
So for now, the duplication glitch has been patched

Awesome guide as usual. The Stingspawns annoy me so much that I tend to tear off the egg components the moment I jump in the fight..! Otherwise I tended to use a similar strategy.
PS: any chance you’ll do master class for the Specter Gauntlet? It feels so underwhelming to me, but so did the Shredders before watching your video and now it’s one of my favorite weapons! I’m hoping there’s something I’m missing here too..
Thanks! Unfortunately, they nerfed the only useful part of the specter gauntlet, which were these sparks that dealt extra damage. Seems like maybe they were a bug, but now without them is really not strong at all. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s worth making a master class on it unless they buff it again.
Great video as usual! My only addition is that putting them into Drenched state is much easier with say TotLG Advanced Purgewater arrows triple notched and then a single triple notch Frost arrow should Brittle them. As you can see Bileguts have naturally pretty high resistance to Frost.

@@ArktixOfficial I’m actually devastated because I was SOOOOOO sure they would never take the time and effort to patch something so trivial that I kept my PS5 on auto update. Ahhhh. Hubris! 🤦🏻♂️. Serves me right. I have a perfect save file already with everything in game maxed but I started over to get that glitched Thunderjaw Radar and I hadn’t duped everything yet before they patched. Luckily I did almost all Elite Coils and Weaves except Elite Melee.

In my experience, the rope caster does not attach to (removable) components apart from armor. I never paid attention to any ankle deep water I was standing in, though. But going for one of the few armor plates seemed to work reliably to tie it down.

Thanks! I am indeed planning to make some FF 16 content. I wasn't able to get it early though, so I'll be a bit delayed. Hunter's Mark is interesting, but tough to use effectively.

I just finished my 2nd playthrough of Zero Dawn. I didn’t really enjoy it the first time but I came across your Master Machine Hunter series for it and decided to give it another shot. I definitely enjoyed it more this time through. I’m thinking about getting Forbidden West. Would you recommend it? I still only have a PS4.
Hey that’s great to hear! Glad you enjoyed HZD a bit more after watching my guides. I would always recommend the Horizon games, so I’m a bit biased 😁 The story of HZD is better because it has more mystery and you’re learning about the world for the first time, but the story in HFW is good too and the other game mechanics have all been improved a lot. Plus the graphics are incredible. On PS4 it’s is great, but you won’t be able to play the Burning Shores DLC until you get a PS5
I like trying to be cool and using the Radial Blast valor surge when the Sting Spawns are too many but i always miss a couple lol

They need to make the Thunderjaw, Bilegut, Stormbird, Dreadwing, and Tremortusk all combine to form some crazy megazord or something. I hope the 3rd game add some combiners. Bilegut reminds me of the Frog Ninjazord.

1) seems to me that the AIs in the game are still living primitive lifestyles, yet speak those .75c words...
2) how is it that Aloy manages to slay all these machines with bow n arrows or a spear where vast militaries with modern weapons failed

Is it just me or does Chain Burst valor surge does not work on the stingspawns in Theta cauldron? BTW I use the Tinker's Pride tripcaster loaded with elite frost coils to freeze machines.
Hello Artix, I am curious if you know any way I can access information regarding machine convoys. Specifically, I am trying to find their routes around the map.
Hi! Machine convoys should show up on the map once you uncover them via exploration or a Tallneck. The icons on the map move to show their actual location at any given time.
have you seen that they patched the dupe glitch? i’ve spammed this but sucks to see that no one has dropped a vid on it.
No wonder I could not climb the log. I knew they had patch it. Well at least I have maximised all the resources coils and weaves!

I can't believe I never put togeter Bile and gut in it's name. I always read it's name like some nonsense french sounding word, Bielgou for stereotype reasons.
I have a simple (maybe just dumb) general question: I finally switched to the dynamic HUD mode, which I like a lot, but there's one issue. I don't know how to get it to show me the health bar when not in combat. The "health full" message is somewhat helpful, but the problem is that it doesn't tell me if I still have extra health or not. I like chugging a large health potion if I know I'm approaching a risky situation before hand, and it would be great to not have to worry about wasting one or forgetting and thinking I'm good to go already. Anyone know of a command or trick to display the health bar at any time?

I understimated ropecasters
Does anyone know anything new about the castle just off the map in the Forbidden West? I remember people speculating about it on whether it would be part of the dlc, but is it still inaccessible?
Unfortunately, it still seems to be inaccessible. A number of people, including myself, now think it was something they intended to have in the main game, but it was cut at some point.

i can't find an apex one. i go at night and it is always just a regular one
It's only found in the cauldron of the DLC
Actually that’s not true. Any site can spawn Apex variants. See above for tips.
So when you set the time to night, make sure you do so far away from the site you want to hunt and then fast travel to it. Also, you won’t get many/any Apex ones until you do the Cauldron and kill a few regular variants. Good luck!
Did you finish the Cauldron? If you haven´t done that, the Apex one will not Spawn, even on NG+.
