#Evo #LightLaptop Наука
This sealed the deal for me , bought it for the wife. Interesting there are almost no reviews on youtube for this 🤔
It’s not in the American market and pretty much is mostly sold in the Asian areas
Yeh it's in the UK market. I wish they would some consistency all around the globe.
the x1 carbon has an inch larger display and more ports, so that's already two more aspects. also the option for 32 gigs of ram, motion detection and WWAN. also in my experience the thinkpads have better track pads than the other lenovos.
the drop test is reassuring. i was afraid that laptop this light would be vulnerable to dropping
Palm rest area is smooth like usual aluminum frame or matte/rough like top of the lid ? I am waiting for AMD+Oled version of this, expected in November but shall i wait for AMD 16core processors, you mentioned in the other comment ?
Will you be reviewing the 14" AMD based Slim 7 Carbon with the 5800u?
Thanks for this. I had this in my shopping cart here in Philippines for a month but no reputable reviews on RUclips at all. Its not cheap but I couldn't believe the specs. However Its obvious you dont have this laptop in your hands to actually do a review. I think it's only sold in some parts of asia at this time.
I love it 😻
What would you recommend for a laptop? I need a new one preferably with a keypad for work(transcribing, proofreading) that's light to carry. The microphone and sound needs to be good as well. Idk what to get.
In your opinion, what 13" or 14" Windows laptop is a great choice for a pro photographer? (i don't want a touch screen, id rather AMD over Intel and please not a dell.) Thank you so much Tally!
Imo this thing looks more professional than any other laptop
thats a nice ultrabook, great video mate
Thanks mate:)
Props for doing the drop test, albeit not max height :D
I would get this for the lighter weight but price has me a little hesitant. Also looking at Vivobook S14 2 in 1.
Someone know how is this laptop for cs students? I think to order it but the size is a bit small.. should I get a 14” laptop instead?
So this is part of the EVO series?
thought about this but went for a slim 7 13 with ryzen 7
Have you tried to edit videos on this? Would you?
Whether this model has touchscreen?
Hi guys, just wondering, i tried to find a way opening Lenovo Onekey Recovery on this machine but no luck so far. Does anyone have some clues on this?
No
Hows the battery life?
Great vid mate. Right now I find it hard to get excited about anything else but MacBook Pro reviews. So keen to see what that M1Max can do.
Yep. True dat. So excited 😆
Actually can’t wait for Alder Lake and AMDs 16 Core Mobile next year also
@@TallyHoTech looking at the performance and efficiency of current M1 I am not sure x86 will ever get back on top. Maybe by some miracle it could take the performance crown but probably needing 2 to 3 times the power.
Not to mention these ARM SOCs contain so much more than just CPU compute cores that make them great and efficient at many other things
Even looking at ARM data center chips made by AWS and now Alibaba it's becoming more and more obvious that x86 is coming to a end. I'm sure we will see AMD making ARM chips soon too and other like Intel investing more in RISC V to potentially take over from ARM in 10 years.
@@TallyHoTech AMD is coming with 16 core next year ?
The title was real interesting
Woof
Can i play sims 4 on this laptop?
But I’m actually looking for light and thin laptop,
yes u can. i have one, and i play the sims 4 with the highest setting with no problem
Is it worth picking up the 16gb 512gb i7 variant for £830 still? Even though it's almost a year old?
Where did you see price of £830 GBP?
Doest it have touch screen
Made nervous throwing that thing around 😢😅😅
Can this laptop be flipped backwards? More than 180 degrees
Sadly no
I know this is a dumb question, but is this laptop a convertible? It has the yoga moniker but it doesn't look like you can flip the screen back to use as a tablet?
It’s not dumb. It’s not a convertible. Why it’s called yoga?
@@TallyHoTech yeah that is weird isn't it.. if this had the yoga hinge, I would be all over it
Is there an AMD version? Otherwise is a no go for me
There is a 14” ideapad slim 7 that has ryzen processors but intel paid Lenovo to remove those versions so it’s very very rare
Can you add an extra SSD to it?
Nope
And the FAN NOISE?
I mention at 25W you will hear it out it in balanced mode you won’t really hear it
I am watching this video with the exact same laptop
So you're saying you're getting the flow soon? Which one?
Yes, apparently. I haven’t had a ship notification yet 🤌 I’m not sure which one it will be a surprise 👍
@@TallyHoTech Was wondering if you could check something out for me. It's not a dealbreaker but it's really annoying. When I go into the UEFI, the CPU temps ramp up to like 80°C and fans start whirring loudly. Really weird.
Slim 7 pro, much faster och powerful, and at 1,3kg. No brainer for me.
Drop it on its corner!!!
No… don’t.
No way is this better than an X1 Carbon lol. This is a laptop for a college kid or a teenager going through puberty.
Yes I Brought X1 carbon i5 6th gen and This is best for Me 😍
Wtf? Why? I want to use this for music production and video editing. Why the puberty comment?
Beating a laptop or anything of value is a no in my book.
I have to test their claims 👍
He's doing it so us consumers are better informed about the durability of the laptop. A good reason to break a laptop.
I think that unless you really hate Apple, you’re just better off with a MacBook Air M1 for most ultra book use cases. The graphics on the M1 are reasonable while everything else is just arguably better.
Hating Apple is totally justifiable, that's for sure. Aside from that, you can still get a laptop which is more than powerful enough for nearly any use-case for significantly cheaper without sacrificing quality. Not to mention many working professionals requiring a Windows ecosystem.
Apple offers a great thing for certain people but it does not offer a default ultra book.
@@SourPlanet I appreciate the thought but the M1 is very powerful for $950. I would be curious what you could get that could perform as well for that price. Then add it’s insane 20 hr battery life, it’s ultra quiet fanless build, it’s screen quality and aspect ratio, it’s solid keyboard and over all build quality, and it’s just hard to beat. I’m a long term Microsoft developer, I’ve been using laptops and desktops for decades and the M1 is still my go to choice for anyone who is not into 3D animation, motion graphics or gaming.
@@alanthomasgramont indeed. apple made a winner with the M1 MBA. I'd never bat an eye on a Macbook till that thing came out. heck as a secondary laptop the MBA is perfect for taking on the go.
Yer true M1s are awesome but heavier..
@@TallyHoTech I suppose that is true. If your number one concern is weight then that would be important.
Remember to keep any funny business off of RUclips ;)
Jokes. lmao.
Hehehe
This video is bad because you simply mentioned what is written by Lenovo. I own this laptop and never could go beyond 2 hours while surfing and working on internet with Google docs!
you dont lkook or sound oriental to me.. dress smart tho
Hehe
