It's about time that Hollywooden gets off its sanctimonious ass and recognize these men from the golden age of television with the first black TV show. Get their names on the Hollywooden walk of fame and recognize of course this wasn't isn't all black men or the black race it's just silly comedies. Period great enjoyment for everyone.
In fact in this series there many portrayals of successful black men and women. The primary charcuterie were talented actors performing great clean comedy -,no profanity or vulgarity. Clever skits by the same writers of I Love Lucy.
I just LOVE the episodes where Sapphire goes ballistic. It's remarkable, and humorous, to see her go from sweetness to rage very quickly. Ernestine Wade should have been awarded an Emmy for her portrayal of the Sapphire character in this TV series.
If some of the guest stars looks familiar in the episode of 'The Pleased Stevenes': Andy's date, Rosemary, was played by Jeni Le Gon, whom played the part of the secretary, Daphne Jackson, in an earlier episode. Harry Harrington was played by Frank Wilcox, a familiar supporting actor in many TV [US] series in the 1950s into the '60s . . . ranging from the Perry Mason TV series to The Beverly Hillbillies. Harriet Harrington was played by Lois Austin, where she played supporting roles in 1940s movies and in 1950s TV series.
“Uh, Kingfish, uh this shipment… is that the old crate that we usually have so much trouble with?” 😂 Nice when Andy catches on the code talk and doubles down on the humor after George.
I do watch these Amos and Andy shows every day and nite.....sometimes because I watch it so much..... King fish....gets on my nerves by always coning...Andy......Soooo....Nieve, yet I always look at the episodes over and over again...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Happy Harrington's remind me of a couple that stayed together through thick and thin. The husband just died about four months back. They reminded me of the Stevens and the Harringtons. Also, MR. Harrington was a regular on the Beverly hillbillies
Well done and well executed. Love it! However, Kingfish’s ability to speak “the king’s English” hurts my ears as Mom was an English teacher.😅 Quite an accomplishment for a “negro” in her day.
At around the Seven minute mark, when Kingfish and Sapphire were discussing the radio show and got into an argument and he stood up and said " THATS it and through down the towel, A man has a right to say what he wants in his own house and they got into it! That actually happened a few years later after the shows end at Tim Moore's actual home and he took a gun and fired at his family members, or inlaws. They were taking over his own home, until he got them out of there.
thank you so much Waltencir for sharing these films I agree with Mark fun to watch and relaxing, from so much junk that's out there today.
These wonderful stars should be added to the Hollywood walk of fame indeed
@@audreyfreeman4208 I agree and wish I had the connections to make that happen.

Sapphire raising hell is funny 😁
These shows deserve so much recognition for how funny they are absolutely awesome! 🤣
The Happy Harrington’s sound annoying as hell.

Yes we can. 😅 😅
Sapphire had a nice caboose.
True, true...that lady was gifted in more ways than one.
Yes
OH! You noticed too huh! Hahahaha
@@Buisness1 Like Andy would say, 'Oh, yeah'.

I think Sapphire was sexually frustrated. I would help her out.
Derrick Bettis I’m late but I totally agree.
And to think that the NAACP considered this program offensive! Funny, NOW we listen to the Amos and Andy and the NAACP and Malcom X, are both dead!
