@@kpopersword I agree. At first I didn't even want to play Origins, because I couldn't accept the fact that AC turned into an RPG. Then after a year it had dropped I played it. I adored every minute of the story, although at the time I couldn't make peace with the game mechanics chaning.
So then I played Odyssey. That game to me was a big letdown. Not because it was a bad game, but it offered almost nothing in terms of story. At least the main game. The DLCs however??? How weren't those in the main game already? The DLCs added more to the story and lore of AC then the entire main game... So yeah, I didn't really like Odyssey that much.
I loved Valhalla though. The fight system suits the Viking era better (but this is just a personal taste issue). My problem with Valhalla was as the video states. Some stories and regions were completely unnecessary. The story though? I've had the most fun with the story since the Ezio saga. The Isu and sci-fi parts were woven into the whole game. The artifacts, the legendary weapons and characters. It's a shame they have added too much important story elements into the DLCs, like in Odyssey. That, I will never understand.
And honestly? People are freaked out by the amount of side activities in Valhalla, but most of them are unique and have interesting little stories. And more than often you don't even have to go too far from the main quests as the side activities are littered around the main missions. There are game FAR WORSE in this respect. (To mention a few I liked: the dude with the axe in his head; the one where you had to let the cats out of the house to hunt down rats in the wheat field; the part when you have to tell the little girl that his dad is not coming back; the part when you had to fistfight a guy who has the strongest fists in England; etc.)

So is its combat system. I hated the combat system in "Rogue", too. I beg to differ on the worst thing in "Origins". The speeches from the Messenger about the Great Catastrophe were utterly pointless to me. While the star circles are nice, I found the War Elephant fights pushing on the side content. Anyone who complains about AC: Origins grinding obviously hasn't played Final Fantasy or Legend of Dragoon. Because the grinding on those games are nuts. And not in a good way. Compared to those grinding on AC: Origins is almost enjoyable.

I love Valhalla, and all the length of the game. I’m almost finished with every map, but yeah it will take 200 or so playing hours to do that

If grinding is problem for you in any AC game, you just can't play it, admit it
I played Origins twice, Odyssey once and Valhalla twice and not even second of grinding, because I'm not some idiot who runs for the main quests only and I enjoy pace of the game instead of rushing through the game
    Also, Valhalla wasn't too long
People are crying that they buy a game for 60 dollars and it lasts only for 15 hours, but then pay the same money for a game like Valhalla where you can play for 100+ hours and still cry it's too long
It's problem with people, not with the game

THANK YOU. The amount of pissing and moaning over Valhalla being too long is ridiculous. When I drop 60, now 70 bucks on a game, I want it to be worth my time and money. Mirage had no business being 50 dollars because it's glorified DLC.

Valhalla's map was smaller than Odyssey and I don't remember anyone ever complaining about Odyssey being too big. What killed it for me was after a section of Valhalla, when we had to go level up to tackle another one, it got boring in between

I don't know why people don't bring up the bad pacing of AC2, like, it's got the worst pacing in the franchise. The game literally comes to a screeching halt near the end. Or that Unity stripped off, so many features from previous games and gave us a stripped down Assassin's creed, that is just a basic stealth game, you can call it any name.

People that want to say that they played the game, without actually wanting to enjoy it.
I was happy when I'd put 20 hours into Valhalla and looked at the map and saw I wasn't even half done with it.

Yeah well people don't like unnesseccarily long games. Skyrim is a proper RPG so it's fine. But when the story in itself is a week minimum, that's not needed. Then the money must be really worth it.
Idk if it's a good comparison, but I think playing a very long game is the same as studying a challenging course

@@matthiasdassler7500 I played Odyssey, both because I wanted to and also because I wanted to achieve 100%. It was a fun game, but even without the side stuff it's very long.
