The Naval Cannon and the Machine Gun missions ROCK . I'm not joking , they ROCK . The Bomber is a bit difficult due to its clunky controlls , however you have the option to turn them normal from their default inverted state while in-game , lowering the difficulty of the mission SIGNIFICANTLY . The Tank however ... I kid you not , applying a a " no health loss " condition for full synchronization on a machine designed for showcasing brute strength is just poor game designing . I know the Bomber has the exact same condition , however there are 2 inherit differences ; 1 ) The Bomber is a flying machine and if you manage it properly ( ie by shooting the ground to ignite fires helping lift it up and also using the heat from the factories ' chimneys before destroying them ) , it can reach heights that the archers' flaming arrows simply don't reach . 2 ) The Tank's portion of its level is an extremely NARROW path , loaded with cannons . The only way to avoid them is to continuously simming to the other end of the cannons near the narrow path's cliff walls in order for the cannons to not damage you ( also , ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS , after destroying the cannons you must also blow up every gunpowder barrel near to fully clear the path , otherwise you might get accidentally damaged by falling onto them ) . It took me 2,5 HOURS during nighttime to get 100 % sync on the tank just because the optional objective is pretty much making the tank's appeal completely useless .
Completely agree, that’s the dumbest thing having a knife with you to defend against the sharks would make it more balanced since a shark that’s bleeding would get attacked by the others allowing you to get to safety. Great vid I love the Assassin Creed games I’m slowly playing through the lot of them I’m on AC2 trying to get 100% completion I’m one of the OCD gang hahah
Read the Assassins Creed Revelations book as I was playing through the game. Revelations is all about the end of Ezio's story and how he becomes an elderly grandmaster assassin and sets up the brotherhood, initiating and commanding others Something like the Tower Defence minigame is a perfect example of something seemingly mundane that a Grandmaster of an organisation would be responsible for. I think it was a great example of Ezio growing from wanting revenge for his family in AC:2, establishing an order in Brotherhood and finally maintaining and being responsible for the defence and protection of the order in Revelations.
Eavesdropping missions were annoying, they move so fast while you struggle to keep up without getting spotted by either the targets or a random guard/sniper who decides to pick on you. Brotherhoods da Vinci machines were great, good stealth, good build up, then you get to mess around with his machines. Although I never got the 100% tank objective and for the first few times I absolutely sucked at the flying machine missions crashing immediately everytime. Then den defence was fun, idk why it's so hated. It's a fun little defend the base thing, you command your troops, I agree it's like a mobile game but they actually took the time and effort to make it good. I would deliberately kill people building up notoriety just to do another den defence. They're also easy, just get Greek fire barricades, maybe like 4 crossbows for basic troop killers then spam riflemen and splinter bombers and any siege machine and army will be wiped out before they even make it to the base. The true annoying parts was sparing rodrigo Borgia after hunting him for 21 years straight, ik he didn't die irl at that time but at least let him escape or something instead of releasing him. Brotherhoods Romulus lairs sucked, complete in 8 minutes without getting hit is impossible, you have like 5 long parkour segments, tonnes of knife throwing furries around every corner and hidden flags or animus fragments laying around, there's no way it can be done in 8 minutes.
Moment number 2: Playing AC Origins and realising that although the game is brilliant ,the combat is horrendous. Assassins Creed Origins The Setting of Ptolemaic Egypt is superb, the entire region is filled with immense beauty, the setting pulls you in and saturates your brain in another time,in another world. The setting is so beautiful that you wish not to ride atop your cherished camel ,instead you constantly want to walk the sand covered streets, the agricultural fields of the Bread Basket,in the blissfully idyllic oasis and in the spectacular landscapes of the Egyptian desert. The wildlife is accurate, engaging and adds an adventurous aspect to the game, like wrestling a Nile crocodile or running away from a charging hippopotamus, it feels so natural and makes you love Egypt even more. You have a pet falcon that aids in scouting and in combat, the most perfect friend a man can ask for. I love my little Horus. The weapons, the outfits/armours are numerous and good. The combat is fun and engaging with a clear progression arch, making you feel stronger only when you work on improving your combat. Although it is not as good as the older games, it relies to much on button mashing and ‘’adrenaline power ups’’ instead of well timed counters and beautiful/elegant counter/take down moves. For the Copesh … the most iconic Egyptian sword...there are only 2 KILL MOVES… Whilst fighting unarmed , you can’t disarm an enemy , here too it is just button mashing and ‘’adrenaline power ups’’..to do faster button mashing…. It is frightening to me how AC1s combat is far superior to a game created more than a decade later. You play the entire games Byek but of course it is the femiazi that assassinated Julius Caesar, have to show how a woman kills the most powerful man on the planet. FUCK the woke femiazi cult Assassinating an enemy around a corner is not as good as in Unity, in Unity you kill the target and you neatly place the body against the wall you were hiding against. Here you don’t hide as much as crouch awkwardly against a wall trying to face the correct direction when the enemy passes, then once you assassinate him..the body just drops to the floor right there for all to see, then you have to move over the body, pick it up and carry it 2 feet around the corner and flop it down on the floor. Why did Unities dev team do such a better job than this team? Unfortunately there is no social stealth….you can only hide in bushes, hay or some sparsely placed closets. No blending into/hiding in crowds, on benches, or working with clerical factions to hide in plain sight. They really missed the ball on this one. The characters are most engaging, Baek is a brilliant protagonist, a Madjey returning home after a long expedition ,finding his home under occupation and tracking down those in power with ill repute and working on creating a regime change. The way you lose your ring finger in game is epic.
You can disable the idiotic damage numbers which greatly increases immersion. You can read scattered papyri that tells you so much of this fabled land,of its peoples and its culture, then you get to delve into ancient (even for that time) crypts ,exploring the ancient tombs of Pharaohs a millenia older than Cleopatra herself, that leaves you itching with excitement to see what adventurous treasures lies around the next corner.
