Whether by design or not, you can probably live without these characters. For this video, we're looking at the 10 most useless characters in the entire Assassin's Creed series. Without Stede, Edward would have never gone to Havana, he deserves more respect.
They aren't useless, they just make the story more interesting.

How are these people useless I get why the Harold or even Testikles but all the other characters serve a purpose. And don't you ever dare to disrespect Stede Bonnet !
this is such a grasping at straws, stating historical figures in their games were useless.

You forgot Shay's first mate in Rogue. His name was Christopher something. He is basically a downgrade from Adéwale because he never does anything, only suggests stuff.

At least Gist stays loyal and doesn't leave you despite it being unmatched riches. Sure Ade wanted to fight against slavery and became a trusted friend to the assassins but leaving someone who rescued you, as well as that rescuer was left to rot in a Jamaican prison, watching many of his friends' fates and joining with the corrupted colonial assassins which led to his death by Shay, shows that Gist is a better mate and friend than Ade(he is also the reason why the jackdaw is in the sea floor, so that deserves a lot of fans rage considering the amount of resources, shark bites and rials for all those upgrades)
Vane was alr a little mentally unstable an they spent at least a month on the Island
Sigurd is undoubtedly critical for the development of Valhalla's plot, what are ya'll talking about
I think the list is a tad confusing, because it mixes in both characters who're useless people, and characters who're useless to the story. Green, for example, could have been excised from Syndicate and it would be the same. While Sigurd is just a grandiose twit and a useless king and brother, but he was crucial to the plot.

Useless yes but Stede is a great friend
I kinda wish they'd done more with him. I actually think witnessing his execution would have been a powerful moment. How would Stede handle that? Like a coward? Like a hero? I wish they'd explored that.This is the running problem with AC. They create charming characters, but they often don't give them much of an arc.
Seeing these makes me want a remake of the first 2 games for sure
Fix bugs and make it look better. But they will definitely fuck it up.

So many characters in assassin's Creed are real people and fun fact in real life templers often allyied themselves with the assassin's that the game is based on
Where's AC Odyssey and Valhalla devs? Their brains are like in AC 1
What were you thinking by "useless"? Not contributing to the story? Inability to fight in gameplay? Having bad AI as an NPC? Deliberately getting out of your sight during specific missions? Or all of the above?

when the characters are in odyssey even useful you only meet the characters in odyssey one's and just forget about them
Connor in AC liberation was quite useless but in AC3 was awesome

Layla Hassan could've been just like Laura Croft. Minus one or two things. But no they didn't do much with her character. And that's terrible. Because I liked her a lot.
