That last duel with Vivian, the last spell card should've been Fusion Sage so Yugi can add Polymerization to his hand if it weren't in his hand considering SDM being Tributed with 3 Spell Counters can Special Summon Dark Magician from hand, Deck, or Graveyard.
Not against Vivian because Dark Magician was sent to his deck, not his hand. He needed to get Dark Magician either onto his field or into his hand, first, so that's why he used Skilled Dark Magician's effect to Special Summon it.
Fun fact. While I have no idea about The Manga of Yu-Gi-Oh! Season Zero, I know of Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories. YOU Became the Main character of that game and it's one of the Hardest. Of course YOU end up as The Evil Spirit of Yugi. Only at the end of the YOU find out you look exactly like Yugi. It was a spoilers but at this point it's more like The true Lore concept of Yugi and Yami Yugi. Simpoy YOU'RE the main character and Yugi is a lucky kid to have you by his side as a friend. Rest in Power Kazuki Takahashi.

With all the new sets and especially all the new support that they are still making for the OG characters, I would love for some new variants and support to be made for Dark Paladin

Dark Paladin's attack points should've been well over 2900 simply because it's the fusion of 2 Monsters with 2500 and 2600 attack points respectively. At least 3200 or even 3500.
Imagine how screwed Kaiba would have been If red eyes dark dragoon was a real monster back then. Yugi had all the cards he needed to summon it 😂 that thing has effects very similar to a god card even by anime standards. I’m sure even Marik would have shown fear if he sees that. Plus it would have been the ultimate FU to Kaiba as red eyes is joeys card and it so happens to be the card that brings him down.
