Well that and the fact that imperial order is just a continuous trap while scapegoat is a quick play spell card giving it priority in the chain over order. Only thing quicker in chains is a counter trap.
It's because it's a filler arc. By the time they wrote this arc, the rules had already been established and implemented irl, so they not only explained the rules but also gave several examples of chaining and whiffing effects, as well as classic combos like Premature Burial -> Giant Trunade -> Premature Burial or Fire Princess + Darklord Marie (Marie The Fallen One) in this duel. This is in contrast with the non-filler OG Yugioh arcs where Kazuki Takahashi was more or less making up the cards & rules as he went along. Mai got plenty of time in the duelist kingdom arc, battle city, and waking the dragons. However, I agree with Rebecca because she didn't have a lot duels.
Rebecca has been in a good number of episode but Mai has been in more. I think Vivian was only planned for a few episodes this season and that's it. That's just how it works because some anime shows have some characters for maybe 1 or 2 episodes and that's it. For example Bandit Keith was a character for the duelist kingdom episodes and the 2 episodes he was mind controlled by Marik to duel Yugi and that's it. You probably know what i mean.

i love how rebecca outdueled vivian in this filler arc. i do wish rebecca and yugi had another duel to she how she really stacks up to the king of games without him conceding knowing he won the match in the end as her grandpa explained.
joey and yugi explaining chains..easier than konami does
I remember the first time I saw this episode. Yugi's explanation made no sense. Now it's really easy to understand
it would have just been easier if he said "chains resolve in reverse order"
@@dakotastein9499 Or last in first out.
Konami Judges are mentally handicaped, I swear
"I don't dance with preschoolers" lol Vivian had the irl burn deck.
Anyone else as confused as Joey by Yugi's explanation of Rebecca's Scapegoat and Imperial order combo
Honestly one of the best duals in my opinion! I love the way Rebecca dueled her way around Vivian with her traps and her Fire Princess.
Nice picture
Rebecca Hawkins and V and mai are amazing characters they should of give more spot lights to them .
I miss this era 💔 simple, but witty and fun
Agreed, now it's I spend 8 Minutes explaining what my cards do to The Protagonist.
@@misterOrca4 Nowadays it's you explaining all effects for a century and then, end your opponent with one turn kill of 7500 dmg at least
Tea's visible jealousy in the back is hilarious :"D
What did you expect, those two are fighting over *her* man.
Who knew that the Spiderman 3 soundtrack was part of the Japanese OST?! :O
Why couldn't we of gotten Rebecca in Duel Links? Instead we got Bonez, who lost both of his on screen duels and died after the second one. Compared to Rebecca who won multiple duels, is the North American champion, and has much more interesting cards.
Do more! You're amazingly talented
When they actually get the ruling right lol
The way I understand it is chains are created in decending order 12345 and resolve in ascending order 54321
I adore these meme edits out of nowhere 👏 well done!
I'm glad you like it
When you're old enough to remember the 4KidsTV days 😭
I can just hear the abridged voices
Tea: friends friends friends!
It's called chain order
Missed waking up early to watch 4kidstv.
Seeing that logo bring fond memories.
Yugi's face when Vivian saw him is priceless XD

SSB Announcer: THIS GAME'S WINNER IS...REBECCA!!
Rebecca: Not even close!
Kaiba: Until then..Everyone is Sus!
.....even Joey....
Rebecca is not only cute but she also has an unique playstyle with floodgate and burn damage.
Becky with the Good Deck.
Now that is how you handle an episode!! Great job on the edits !!
Thanks!!
A battle for yugi's heart 😅😅
I think Rebecca Hawkins deserves the Gold Medal of Good, while Vivian Wong earns a spot in the Gray Area.
*Bronze* ..... Kaiba and Yugi
get the Gold and Silver ones..
respectively.
Toby Miguire was Rebecca’s Best play this whole duel lmao
This was a really nice duel
she was going in with the STALL BURN LUL
6:17 Wow a very detailed explanations. A lot of new players should listen to this because they often get confuse over these lol.
All he had to say was "chains resolve in reverse order"
Kazuki Takahashi must've had a thing for older women. Cause you have Vivian who was in love with Yugi, 4 years her junior and Mai who had feelings for Joey 8 years her junior
I have watched this video 3 times and this is the fourth time 😂❤
The way i was waiting for Rebecca to say "B*tch" every time she called Vivian "Viv" 🤣🤣
That's what I loved about Yugioh. Anyone with an over-inflated opinion of themselves, usually got their deck handed to them.
Do you know who Kaiba is?
@@YouJustAmazeMe yup, and he got his deck handed to him not once, not twice, but three times.
@@YouJustAmazeMe That's why I said usually. Kaiba is the one exception to that rule, because his constant rivalry with Yugi is one of the driving forces of the show.
@@Lightningstrike1220 Pride goeth before a fall. And in Kaiba's cases, his fall is very long and very painful.
@@ezrawyvern6795 Kaiba is prideful to the very extreme until his brother is involved.
It is true he lost to Yugi due to the Millennium Puzzles magic twice, and he lost to Noah due to Noah completely overwhelming him emotionally, breaking him.
He also lost to Dartz, but Dartz was also using ancient magic on him.
Kaiba has used his own ancestral magic once to win against Ishizu.
I love Rebecca! She really was a cool character!
I also just realised that she has the same voice actor as Casey from Pokémon.
...I didn't recognize that!
@@serraramayfield9230 same until I saw this then it just clicked for some reason that they are the same voice actor
Coincidence? I think not.

Nice to see a full version of this fight of an AMV version of this
Vivian attacking Rebecca's Token and not getting rid of Fire Princess is the biggest fumble I've ever seen.
She was trying to deal as much damage as possible
Yugi explaining how a chain works at 6:24
I love how this duel finally explained how the rule of chain works. The last card played in a turn always activates first so the first card has no effect on the last card even though it was played first. It did took a while to figure it out. LOL
1070th. Fantastic job. I hope you could do the same with all of the duels where everybody would love to witness the Yu-Gi-Oh English Dub With Japanese OST.
I didn't know Chun-Li was into this game....
😁
“Viv” that name could be based on a very popular Hong Kong idol Vivian Chow back in the 90s. Classic👌
23 years later it still works again^^
Bully McGuire was the funniest thing in all of this
I don't get it.
@@gokuandmario4ever It's a meme using scenes from when actor Tobey McGuire plays a bully during Spiderman 3.
What are you talking about?
If I were dueling Rebecca, I'd taunt her all along 😋
Is it just me or is Dragon Lady's eyeball huge at 12:11?
She looks like Leela from Futurama in that shot lol
Rebecca’s only misstep was using Silent Doom on Fire Princess. In the real life TCG Silent Doom can only be used on Normal Monsters. Other than that her card synergy was pretty good.
Well it’s not really a misstep if the cards in the anime aren’t the same as irl lol
i mpretty sure i remmeber mako tsunami used that silent doom to bring back his fisherman back at the end of the duel with joey back in battle city
In the anime Silent doom is basically budget Monster Reborn. Kinda like how in DM Monster Reincarnation just puts a monster back in the deck, but irl it's a discard and add back to hand.
@@easymixedsignals534 i watched that duel and you are right. By rule silent doom only works by reviving normal monsters not effect monsters. Guessing because It's the anime that they'll allow it. Rebecca probably had a monster reborn card in her deck but wasn't able to draw it.
@@TheMasterBlaze mmmm i dont like that example. I would just say anime effects are diffeent from real world cards like cards of sanctity. the anime effect is op. the real world is shit :P
I love Tea's reactions in this LOL
Don’t worry Joey every now and then I end up getting confused about the whole “last card played is uneffected by the card played right after it” thing too 😅
The cards to be printed are: Kung Fu Nyan Nyan (monster), Luminous Clouds (spell), Dragon Lady (monster) and Mystic Eruption (spell)
They need to become official cards.
Really good effort put into this here! It just makes me wish I could have the Japanese Dub of GX with the English music though.
That would be great.
Its cute how they both dont already know that Tea and Yugi are basically on lock.
Well, if I remember correctly, Rebecca knows that tea is interested to Atem and not really to Yugi
