Hi youtube family :) Here is some solid advice on how much money to bring with you for a 7 day, week long trip to Sosua or Boca Chica. You can easily spend less or more.
All Prices are in USD:
$400 - flight (New York)
$420 - 7 days at hotel
$100 - Transportation
$$400 - Food, Alcohol, woman/man
$100 - touristic activities
= $1,420 (however can get by with $1,020 - $2,000.)

I agree with your video but in Sosua I usually send money to myself thru western Union because I don’t like carrying a lot of cash when I’m in Sosua alone

I agree. I used to go to DR (the 'sua, specifically and when you get around those females, the great food and possibly some tours like national parks and ATV riding, you would need more and "just in case" money)
Yeah I just went in February and $100 a day was my budget. Going back in October
Hotels are 80 per night with tax = 7 nights $560. Food, alcohol and tricking is $200 per day × 7day = $1400 so you can live like a king not $400 lol. Everything he listed is accurate

In America, my food and alcohol expenses don't cost $200 a day so what are you eating and drinking?...lol $80 a night for hotel room is high as well because in San Antonio, you can live in the extended stay hotel for a month for $560. Also, you left out the price for the flight to the DR.

i am going to sosua this sunday. first time
I'll be there August 3, this Thursday
I spent 2 weeks and I was able to to spend a grand down down there. I had a great discount at the Impressive hotel. Did 3 nights for less than $250 and then for the other nights. I rented a apartment for $180 in Santo Domingo. You can have a good time down there on a budget you just have to be smart with your spending.
Thats awesome. Just remember they have condos, like studios, and one bedrooms, for between 400-600 per month on the main strip. But for just a short week, you did right. Great job.

The activities were awesome too, I went to do a 3 hour dirt bike ride to the country side, visited a tobacco farm and a cave. I will definitely go back because of the scenery. But I will take your advice on the spending. Those tips added up and I love to tip generously if I get good service. 😅

Puerto plata Airport
When I used to fly there my homie and I used to fly into Santiago to save money on the flight. In all honesty, I HIGHLY recommend flying out of Puerto Plata. If there is a problem on the road going back to Santiago (we ran into a problem one time) you could miss your flight even leaving 4 to 5 hours before your flight
Boca chica is a 15 min drive from the airport in Santo Domingo
A great place I feel. My first trip to DR was at Boca Chica and I had a blast! Plus, you can do time in Santo Domingo for like tours and historical site watching.

Hey bro we from canada, me and 4 guys rented a house in sosua, so plane and house paid for.how much money do we need for food, drinks.For 5 days.Since you said don't exchange at the airport,Then obviously we will be paying a taxi in us dollars/cdn, from plata airport to sosua. How much should we pay the taxi.
I would say have $100 per day per person to be comfortable. You should have some money left over each day. Where your their on vaca, you spend more. I can get by on $30 or less per day however i know the tricks now. And it's not even so much tricks, it's more so the scams and over pricing.
Nice video but I think you're a little off, I think closer to 1200 to 1500 to really have a good time, but your right if you hold back and go to inexpensive places then maybe.

MakeUFumble usd is accepted at some places in DR. In efforts not to be ripped off, I recommend learning the local currency and using that instead 🙂. A little work with save you loads of trouble.
Do you live in DR now? I personally like to set my daily limit at a $100 per day which always ends up going over lol. $400 is good for somebody on a modest trip, but I’ve been so many times and you never stick to your limit why I don’t it doesn’t work in that country. I would say take an extra $400 on a debit card for emergencies. I spend more than the average person because we usually will hit Cabarete at night, buy bottles, go in private cabs, buy extra curricular things. So yea to each his own but u should definitely have a emergency stash in DR.
Hey brother. I don't live anywhere. I travel extensively but should have a base soon 😂 . As far as budget, 100 per day is reasonable however, once can easily go above that, your absolutely correct. It takes a lot of restrictions. Let's be real, many Dominicans live off less then $20 per day 😉so, we can make it with 100, lol. Thanks again. I enjoy your comments.

U can negotiate 40 to 50 bucks. The roads froms Santiago to sosua are really fucked up, the backroads at least, was there last week ..so it'll take u a while to get to sosua.

I recently landed in Santiago and the taxi driver wanted $70 to take me to Sosua. I gave him $20 to take me to the Metro Bus Station. Then I paid $170 pesos ($3.25 US) for the bus ride (90 minutes) to Sosua. The bus is air conditioned with wifi.
We took a couples trip to a all inclusive resort (married) man my lawd my lawd the ladies around the resort the servers all had long hair but due to the job had it in a bun. Me and my bro decided to split up from our wives and man nothing happened but the ladies was grouping up flirting. I realized... I need to come by myself!!! beautiful women with pretty feet lol
