I have a Falcon. I have had it for almost two years. It is the most awesome power chair ever. I fly with it a lot and have had absolutely no problems. I just took it on a road trip for my birthday with my daughter. We had such a magical time!
I'd try it just for fun to see if the chair would go up the hill backwards, making it front wheel drive with the big wheels going up first. I think going backwards up a step hill would make it safer too. Now I'm thinking we might need a rear view mirror as an option. :)
If you search your local charities, there are many organizations that help people with medical mobility devices. It can take some time and phone calls, but in the end, it can result in a free power wheelchair, as it has for more than just a small handful of our customers.
