    even to yourself ♡
    When we are walking through challenging times, weeks or even days, it is okay & even transformational, to show ourselves grace. What are practical ways you do this?
    The last time my husband was traveling I remember hearing 3 words everywhere. SHOW YOURSELF GRACE.”
    This was his first trip I was working during too. Therefore, the week was a typical one filled with commuting, teaching, after school activities, sports, bedtime routines & everything else in between. Contrary to other times, I was already going into that week with a mindset that was hopeful & ready to show grace when needed. As those days unfolded though, other events/tasks were added to the overflowing agendas & my body began to feel the weight of exhaustion. (Being 8 month pregnant at the time was definitely adding to that.)
    SHOW YOURSELF GRACE became not only a friendly reminder but a necessary one. I remember allowing myself space to do so & ways that really helped me out with this. (I’ll share below.) Still, there was one area I would not allow myself to ease down with and that was… the laundry. I typically try to keep up with the laundry by starting a load every morning before work. This week was no different. Sure, in some ways, I needed to stay on top of those piles, but in looking back, I knew I could have let it go and shown grace in that area too. It made me think of this…
    Is there anything we are still holding onto that God is telling us to let go of, or to rest from, even for a bit? Is there anything we are carrying that we are meant to rest in His hands? Where is He asking us to show grace? Where is He showing us to…
    Rest. ♡
    I’m not trying to start a strike against laundry, but I do want to end with ways that helped me… SHOW GRACE.
    1) Plan for it.
    I made the list shorter and kept reminding myself… it was okay.
    2) Pray about it.
    God, show me what needs to get done and what does not. Help me prioritize and be okay with letting go of the rest this week. Your presence is enough.
    3) Celebrate Progress.
    Instead of focusing on the slip ups, focus on the wins & progress.
    4) Remember & remind yourself often: God’s presence is enough. ♡
