My dad passed away
My grandpa said no one will hire me because I m dumb
My grandmother said I m trash
No one believed in me
I was in suicidal mood since I was 11.
Cut myself to death at 13 but I survived.
But at 15 I noticed myself that all I have is me the whole time
I looked at the mirror the only person who still with me is me
The only person who can create the love I needed it
Now I got into Tokyo university
Got internship at J.P. Morgan .
Now I got ppl who appreciate me

I'm an intellectual black female (33 years old) & have been bullied because I wasn't the "it girl " & I'm also a nerd (think Star Wars meets Star Trek with ADHD ) & sometimes don't feel like I'm "worthy" because of society says I have to act like something I'm not ( the pretty chick on a magazine instead of who I am which is the tomboy who'd rather watch American football( the distant cousin of rugby ) than go to the mall ) but these words inspire me to NOT have to change who I am because society can't get me

Im in that now, every once in a while...someone is also out there feeling the same way. Sometimes we need to hear and remind ourselves we are worth it. Remind ourselves that besides god, WE got ourselves and love ourselves first before anyone else. We are stronger than we give ourselves credit for. Getting up everyday and a positive attitude takes alot of strength but we do it because we are strong and we keep taking that next step toward a better day. Never forget how wonderful and beautiful inside and out you are because at the end of the day..we got ourselves. 💪😎💯

Marissa, have you watched his other video "The Wall"? very inspiring. I went without a job for the whole summer. Applied everywhere and interviewed some. I found a blessing that my last interview they hired me on the spot. I cried on the way home. His other video gives me hope.

Sobbing right now too. This helped me lift a huge weight on my shoulders. Ive always had a dependence on guys to make me feel wanted and beautiful and desired. It has affected my self esteem and that has affected my relationships. It felt nice to let some of that go

I saw this video about 3 years ago. I was trying to figure out who I really was. I suffered a lot of low self-esteem and had problems with food. Two years ago my life changed: I met Jesus. Jesus told me that I am worthy, loved, and special. I gave my life to God and all the pain is gone. God is great! 🙏❤️

Hi. I'm turning 17 in a few weeks and I've suffered from depression for a while. I tried religion but I just don't know what I'm supposed to do. I see a therapist but I don't feel ike it's doing anything. I keep thinking that if I was skinnier, prettier, my life would be better. I recently talk with a guy who didn't value me. He played with my emotions up till the point I began to think I was worthless. But this video reminds me who I really am. Yes this guy doesn't see me as a valuable pearl but truth be told, his opinions don't count. Because he didn't create me, he didn't make me. God did 🙂. And you know what God says I'm beautiful. God says I'm funny, smart and worth it. And I believe him. I am valuable. I am indeed worth it. I love me❤️❤️❤️❤️🌹😜. Here is what I believe: I believe that Jesus called us to love people unconditionally. Christianity is not about proving others wrong, but about proving others are loved. That's why I am trying my best to not lash out on you, because since I'm a sinner I know I would. But you know what's the best part? I'm a sinner SAVED by grace through the lord Jesus Christ and it is the best thing that's ever happened to me. You call me ignorant and I can see why- I mean who believes in something that no one can see? It's crazy!
But I have faith, and that's enough for me. And really, the literal definition of the word "faith" is believing without evidence. But Christian belief has never been about having no evidence: the gospels were written to provide evidence, as the beginning of John's gospel says, "These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name." But believing without evidence is a common notion of "faith" at present so I expect you to think what you do, really before I be came a Christian I thought the same thing. So, when Christians talk about faith in Christ, they (meaning other people) think there is not evidence, but John's gospel shows that Christianity is an evidence-based faith.

I can't change what you believe. But I sure as heck will pray and ask God to change your heart because he's the one who can. So wrapping this text up I will end it here with a simple I'll pray for you and God be with ya.

I just want to say thank you so much. Lately, I’ve been struggling with low self-esteem, and I was starting to have suicidal thoughts. It felt like I was being sucked down into the depth of despair. This made me so happy. The fact he mentioned ester. She has been my favorite in my bible sense I was a kid but also my grandmas name was ester, she was beaten my her husband and worked for everything she ever had. She raised 5 kids of her own and helped raise her 11 younger siblings. My grandma was a strong women, I didn't know her but from the stories I've been told she was.

I found this about 4 years ago. I was in a terrible relationship and had just been diagnosed with a life threatening heart condition. After watching this video while shedding a lot of tears I found that little mustard seed of hope. It was like a pin dot of light in the darkest room. I believe that had I not found this video I wouldn't be here today. Since then, every time that I have found myself going through a difficult situation I come back and watch it again. And every time that little pin dot of light reappears. I can't say thank you enough for reminding us that we are enough and that we are loved!

I will never forget the first moment I experienced Jesus Christ in a real and personal way. At the time, I was four years old and barely able to sit still during church services. On this day, our teachers gathered us into a circle and told us, “Today you can accept Jesus Christ into your heart” I closed my eyes, folded my hands and I felt my heart beat with passion. I felt the love of no other, that my face couldn’t help but glow in excitement. Accepting Jesus Christ into my heart felt like it was the beginning of an unbelievable journey. That day was the first day that I asked Jesus to be apart of my life.
I grew up in a practicing Christian family environment with my older brother Jeff and my parents Marilyn and Greg. My family would attend church every Sunday, including holidays. Our church choir would light up the stage with their performance with every type of instrument and the most talented vocalists. The music was one of my favorite parts of attending church because it was my own way of communicating with my savior. Also, music was my way of expressing my love and loyalty to him. Our church was always filled with such passion that you couldn’t walk out of the building with out feeling pure love for Jesus Christ.
However, by the time I reached my teens I started to lose touch with my faith. Even though my religion meant the world to me, I was never prepared for the judgmental world ahead of me. I even wonder how I began as a happy child that always smiled and laughed and then have that happiness ripped out of my hands like it never happened. In the seventh grade I was bullied so badly that I development an eating disorder called Anorexia. People would constantly call me hurtful names that I became obsessed with trying to fit their standards. I was trapped so deeply in this routine that I finally broke down to the point were I became severely depressed. I lost every hope of believing that I was more than a number on a scale.
While depressed I struggled with my relationship with God because I blamed him for my own mistakes. Society’s twisted image of beauty had affected me so badly, that I didn’t think of myself worthy enough unless I skipped a few meals here and there. Also the pressures to be perfect really pulled me away from reality to the point that I lost my enjoyment in life, and most importantly confidence in myself. I had fallen so far off God’s path that there were days that I thought I didn’t deserve his forgiveness. However the truth was that I needed to believe in myself just like Christ had always believed in me. I prayed every night for God to show me a way out. And one-day God had answered my prayers; God had given me the courage I needed to fight for my life. Jesus made me realize that I had the strength all along. Even though I found the courage to change my life, it was never easy. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do, but I repeatedly told myself “it’s either now or never”.
I believe relationships are never perfect therefore my relationship with God has had its ups and downs but God was always there for me. Having Depression or an eating disorder can seem like an embarrassment to most people but I see it as my strength. It’s not something I’m ashamed of because without it I wouldn’t be the person I am today. I’m no longer a prisoner in my life because I’m not only changed on the inside but as a Christian I’m changed for the better. Even though it’s apart of me now and in some ways always has been, my past has not destroyed me, nor does it define me. My past has only strengthened the person I’ve become. God has been my guardian angel through all these difficult battles I’ve faced. Therefore, I now live by the verse “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13)
