    I've been a stylist for 15 years and never get sick of watching other stylists do hair- and this video didn't disappoint! Thanks for this. Loved watching the different techniques!

    It's 1:30 am and I'm not sure why I'm watching this because I don't cut hair but great video man. Really clear and I feel like I could cut my own bangs now without ruining them per usual.

    I'm pretty sure that I gave my barbies' that "grunge bangs" look when I was 5. This is such a great video! Matt is super talented and so confident in his hair styling approaches and techniques. I visited this video because I need to do something with my bangs, as my hair is thinning at the top and this gave me some really good ideas. Thank you, Matt!

    love the grunge bang! I am not a Professional Hair Stylist but tried it on my own! Just didn't go to short but I think I did a pretty awesome job! Thank you!

    • @DiscoChixify
      @DiscoChixify 4 года назад

      Yeah, I thought the last one was just a smidge too short too. I think the layers should be just above the eyebrows for the short one, and just below the brows or almost touching the lashes for the long layer. A few good chunks on the sides that go down to the jaw line, or just below the ears, for face framing would have been perfect. All in all a good technique though. Might use it to cut my own bangs. I think I’d make the top layer a little bit more A line to flatter my oblong face shape though.

    I am very thankful to you. I have heavy curly hair and I am so annoyed with it in summer. At the same time, it is medium length and I don't want to shorten it. So I made the short side heavy bang in minute 4:35 and I am very pleased with the new change. I rarely have bangs so I feel the change.
    Many thanks. 💐👍

I actually was looking of how to do the one you called the light long side bangs, I saw it in a video, and pretty much fall in love with it...the only problem is that right now my hair is growing from a straight bang, and i'll have to wait a little bit for it to be the perfect lenght...

    Choppy is for straight hair; my hair is natural curly so I prefer no chopping and snipping to cause fuzz humidity attacks my hair and it does not work on my beautiful natural curly hair. It looks lovely on a straight haired person. I'm headed for your Layered Haircut for long thick hair. That's for me!!!! Thanks!

    Think I have watched something like....900-1,000 hair cutting videos at least (over the last few years), & I have never commented on any of them. And personally I have had my hair cut for the last 20 years of my adulthood with experiences ranging from getting a cut/color in Beverly Hills that ran about $1,400 (before tip) to letting a friend of mine- who isn’t even a hair stylist by trade- cut it for me just for fun. Anyway, I just wanted to give you some perspective because you are sincerely one of the best hair stylists - top three for sure - that I have ever seen cut hair. Ever. Now don’t let that go to your head b/c you also seem quite pleasant personality wise, & as a woman trust me- it’s scary to let someone mess around with your face/hair. But so nice when the person doing it (regardless of talent) seems like a genuinely cool person, not too sweet or fake- but just pleasant to be around. That being said, you could be the bitchiest condescending queen in the world & I would still want you to do my hair. You are that good. PS the 2nd bang you cut is the only type of bang I have asked for the last like 20 times I decided to go with bangs (again), & NO ONE has ever been able to get it just right so it would look like your fringe/bangs cut looked when you were finished. And you made it look so easy too! I hope you like what you do- b/c you are too good at it to do anything else (it would be a disservice to women everywhere :)

    That last technique is great for gals who want bangs but have cow licks in their hair line, especially when you keep the back section as thick as or thicker than the front. Helps lay down things that want to go up.
