Such an amazing hair cut! U did an awesome job breaking everything down and explaining. Thank you so much for not using profanity and inappropriate analogies to explain your work! Your professionalism is so appreciated! I love how ur so focused on educating us!
As a decades-long stylist, I truly appreciate your direct & simple teaching style. You clearly have a great sense of hair texture, density, client preferences & technique. Great job well performed. Thank you to your terrific model as well A+
I am not a hair stylist but, I have been cutting my hair for over 30 years and this happens to be my favorite Technique. Good job in your presentation.
Love this! I am a cosmetology student now and I love watching your videos! It helps me so much. Your style of cutting is wonderful and easy to understand. I am going to try this cut on a friend of mine tomorrow!
Matt, Im not hair stylist but I learned alot from this video, you make a great teacher! I have to say, in my opinion what makes a great teacher is one who not only explains/teaches what to do, how to do it whatever the subject is but WHY you do it.
Pinksupergrl95 This is what i always say. If you dont learn the why, then ultimately you have learned nothing. Learning the why is the key aspect to understanding the way something works. He is a very thoughtful teacher.
I love how this cut not only gave her hair back some life and movement but also enhanced the color she has. In the beginning it almost looks faded and dull , and it the end the layers just accentuated all the right spots.! From one stylist to another , AMAZING JOB. Keep the videos coming ❤💋
How helpful and professional you are, always! Your dryer tips are greatly appreciated for anyone. Always loved the art of dressing hair, it never studied… Best to you all
So thankful to have your videos to help me! I'm also a cosmo student, I've used three of your techniques for cutting hair , they've helped making it A LOT easier for me I don't take as long as I use to! 🤗 you're very detailed and neat, keep it up!! 👏🏼💇🏻💕
I'm a student, as well. Every time I need to learn a haircut I look at your videos. They are my favorite! Thank you for always posting! Love love love!
Wow, I just LOVE how you filmed & explained everything. In some people's videos, you can't see what they're doing at all, so this was great! Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for making this video and coming up with technique. I've been cutting my own hair for years and this is the first time I've found a tutorial that works for me. My hair came out so good! No one believes I did my hair myself!
I just needed to say that I take notes on your videos and it has made me such a better stylist. You're fantastic at teaching and giving a strong walk through on your techniques. I've learned more about haircutting and styling from your videos than I did in school. Thank you for such amazing educational videos that really do inspire stylist! Huge fan!
you really are a great teacher. I am a former cosmetology student who never finished school but always wanted to. you make me really want to go back and find a real school. I don't think I could ever find an instructor as good as u tho. thanks as always
Hi Matt, I love to watch you work with hair. You do superb and very thorough work. It's also amazing to me because I did hair for 18 years and although I learned a lot from education and hair shows, etc. But the way you cut and the reasons you give I also taught myself from hands on and I completely understand your reasons from cutting details to blow drying with round brushes and the cooling before release. I taught a lot of others this as well.. I truly miss it. So thanks again for you. 🥰
I love the finished look of drying it and letting it cool while the hair is still wound around the round brush, definitely going to try this technique!
I’m in cosmetology school, in my second week of hair cutting class and I am so happy I found your channel!!! I was started to feel flustered because I have good balance in my hair cuts but they don’t come out even. After watching 2 videos from you I understand everything I’ve been doing wrong and what I need to work on! #NewSubscriber #ImTellingMyClassmatesAboutYourChannel #LoveFromVA
I love all of you're videos . Advanced stylist like yourself where I live at would never share there secrets. You're truly amazing and taught me a lot. Thank you for sharing you're stage !! You are an amazing stylist and teacher !
Awesome sauce!!! Please do your hair cuts using a light color cape. We your fans will see more of your skill and your techniques. Also you give good audible directions and you have a pleasant voice~
I am not a hairstylist and I cut my hair following this tutorial! I am very happy with the results and can stop at the blow drying with big round brush and skip the curling iron. Your technique and advice is very useful!
I really enjoy these. Thank you so much for investing in others like you do. I am sure all of us here really appreciate your commitment to posting these videos.
Her hair looks so beautiful!! Amazing job :) I'm not a cosmetology student or in this field but I do enjoy looking at your videos so when I go into the salon I am aware if my hairstylist doesn't have the proper technique.
Im not even a student in beauty school but I love watching your videos!! I get tips for my own hair to try in between cut/coloring and also so I know what to tell or show my hair stylist. Aside from that, just fun to watch the process!
Thanks for posting this; I'm not a stylist, but this gives me a lot of very helpful terminology to use with a stylist to get the type of haircut I'm looking for. Also, this is an excellent tutorial for styling a long, layer cut. Love it!
Really loved the video especially because my hair was very similiar to Madison's, long, wavy, and volumous. You gave so many valuable keys and used every moment to provide education and practical information. Thank you.
Great job!!!!!! You made her hair, excuse me for saying this. Amazing hair again. Plus working at your salon, have to represent... The Salon first person they see, shows what kinda Salon it is... for the people who don’t know you. Like new clients😘♥️💋😎🌍🚀🚀🚀🚀 You Rock that out of Space bravo...!!!!!
I love those long layers n the volume u created with the round brush and the cut was very quick n on point I have picked up a few of your tricks n will be incorporating them into my everyday be work at the shop. N your pixies are off the chain as well.
Definitely enjoyed learning your techniques. I feel like I will be much more comfortable physically doing this on my clients. And that's hitting chair will definitely be one of my next purchases!💙
Her hair texture is identical to mine and I would love to see a picture of this cut with her texture air dried. As always, a beautiful cut, great voiceover and fun to watch!
watching your videos makes me miss doing hair. I don't do it anymore due to me lacking the confidence even though I was told otherwise. I just wasn't passionate about it like you are. I did the basics and stuck with what was safe and comfortable with me. Plus the idea of someone now liking their hair really stressed me out.
cretnotonic I recently started working at a salon and I feel like quitting already I always doubt myself and let anxiety get to me, I feel like I’m gonna mess everything up and the clients won’t like anything that I do. They’ve told me that i have talent and that i do a good job. I even had a client today that tried to belittle me and make me doubt myself by asking me if I knew how to cut hair because she was a cosmetologist.
Both of u are hard on yourselves give yourself a chance to grow, we all go through a time of doubt and we feel like just quitting. But dont! It's always the people who have the most potential doing great things in cosmetology that go through a load of hurdles first! !
🤩🤩 You use very simple technique. It's way easy to execute. Your cutting length is less unlike others. I'm beginner. Wish you could provide more aid to online learners.
I’m training to be a Barber (in England) and as part of my course I have to do a six week Hairdressing Unit. I’m finding your Vlogs interesting and some what helpful!😃👏
Used this technique on a shoulder length cut awesome for removing lots of weight. Seamless layers. Although next time I'll maybe use the texturisers for a softer result all round. Ta! 👍👏
When elevating the hair from the occipital and low crown area, how do you decide how much to cut? Love this cut. And the cut and styling revived the appearance of her color. Thanks
Can I just say.. I ❤️u just ran across your video and love the technique. I always check my long layered haircuts with this front frame technique as well
I am just amazed by this wonderful video! :) This makes me happy and brightens up my day! I am proud to support such terrific content. I want to learn how to cut longer hair especially my mother's hair because she ends up going to places where they cut it too short sometimes. Thank you so much for your videos!
Yes now I like this this is the way you should get your haircut I mean separate the hair and later it I don’t know about down here I don’t know many people that know how to do that I wish there was more people that could layer of hair

I liked the way you used the blow drying & then curling iron it brought out her highlights in her hair & it looks way more healthy now👍😊
I wish they taught more layered cuts other than the “180” in school. Thanks for this simple, straightforward tutorial.
