Jack weighs much less than Dad he would win on the Kawasaki just because of the weight difference
Good point.
You should have switched trikes to see what the rider skill was.
We do in all our videos after this one. Check them out.
3rd person doing the start plus should have switched trikes.
Totally agree. We'll have to do it again..
Them tri zs are really fast both of them are but them Yamahas are really fast
It's my favorite for all around riding
For $20 I’ll be glad to show you guys how to power shift…
$1
3rd party to call start and swap bikes mid way...
Agreed
Beautiful toys though...
Thanks madman.
Should of swapped trikes
Agreed.
Let me ride each one and race
3.30.22 no war

Spending too much time shifting but I wouldn't be thrashing those bikes
This is for fun only as we said. We are not out to wreck anything.
Tri-Z is superior
Definitely was this day.
250r is superior
@@myhrenmyhren8711 maybe
@@myhrenmyhren8711 some people say the Tecate is the fastest but I’d say the Tri-Z
Lol those bikes should race 300 feet.
300 ft?
What? How about 660 and 1320
Yes my guy. I misspoke I the video.
Supposedly the Tri-Z made 45HP back in the day. The Tacite and ATC 250R Both rated at 42HP
Great info, my favorite for overall riding is the Tri Z.
I owned them all back then and the triz made the least amount of power. My new 87 t3 was rated at 44hp, 86 R 38 triz was 35. Remember the kaw only had a 5speed trans.and the other 2 had 6 gears in 86
@@chrisburley1203 you're right on that!
Tri-z she’s riding is a 6 speed tarny
Yep
But yes that tecate is beautiful 😅
Yes
The fastest machine of those two can't win with such slow reacting driver on the start... not to mention a probable 75+ pounds difference between... 😉
Thanks for calling me slow bro!
@@TheMapleDude1 Let's swap you both drivers from machine 😉😄 Sorry buddie but wether your son is always cutting a red light or you'r just slow, or both... I used to have a heavily modified Tri-Z and the only trike who manage to be always in my ass or beside me was a stock 86' Tecate back then among about 10 2-stroke trikes in the area
😉 Over this all , thanks a lot for your videos, for your love for trikes and for doing all this with your son... Cheers from Québec ✌️ On a du bon sirop d'érable nous autres aussi 😉✌️
@@moparholic2 thanks my friend.
Tri-z has smaller tires better gearing
Yeah you're right they are small.
1/8 mile is 660 feet and 1/4 mile is 1320 feet
I know. It was said in error.
the honda 250r will take the win.
We will see
My dad would never let me win...
I want to win but he's so dang little yet and light.
@@TheMapleDude1
Won't be long now, they grow like weeds...I'll be around in a few years to see if You guys still are!!
1320 feet in a 1/4 mile not 1280
Did you Google that?
@@TheMapleDude1 no it's common knowledge

Tecate clutches slipping
Look at the newer video of this... it's been replaced since then.
Ok… the tecate is by far faster than the tri-z. Learn how to ride
When you teaching me bud?
Get ror measurements right ,660 and 1320
Yes Mr Perfect.
Tri Z's are not that much faster than Tecates. Fist of all, the persosn calling go has an advantage, need a third person, and if that TRI Z is that fast, it's not stock vs a stock Tecate. anyone who has knowledge on these machines knows better. Your videos are not honest. All those old 2 strokes are awesome, but no way is a Tri Z faster than a Tecate like that.
My guy, what you saw happened, it wasn't an illusion. If I could pick one on the big three, 3 wheelers, it would be the Z!!!
@@TheMapleDude1 Nope. Experience and even the magazine reviews will tell you different. Tecates, weren't the best overall ATVs but they were the fastest and most powerful. I love them all. But if you disagree, you're only kidding yourself.
@robstrunk817 ok you win.
@@TheMapleDude1 Not trying to "win" anything bro. Just saying. I grew up on these trikes and I know from experience a Tri Z doesn't spank a Tecate like that. Not trying to argue or be a jerk man. I've checked some of your other videos and I enjoy them. Just subbed actually. All those old two stroke trikes and quads are awesome. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. The Tecates didn't handle as good as the Hondas (Tri Zs were the greatest for handling either) but Tecates were easily the most powerful of the big three. The powerband would punch you in the face. Talking factory stock anyway. Anyone can build them to have more power and handle better and at that point it just comes down to who's a better rider. Not Who's the best manufacturer.
@robstrunk817 rider is the big thing. But some guys say back in the day companies paid off test riders to get results .
Kawasaki is a faster quad! I have no idea what's going on with that Kawasaki or the rider but Yamaha is slower from the factory but last longer.
The tri z was thought to be slower... but reality is often different than our opinions.
