Born and raised 4 blocks from Utopia Bagels and now live in Portland, OR it leaves me a little biased, but I have not had a better bagel on either coast! UTOPIA BAGELS hands down.
In my case it only took me 3 months of staying in NYC and when I went back to CA I can immediately feel the big difference. I'm not a bagel expert, but I just feel that bagels in New York is something else =)

NYC should have stayed away from politics and the lime life and focused more on it's food and the teenage mutant ninja turtles. Lol they should kick out NYU and focus on 80s NYC vibes

How did no one mention Sables on the upper east side? Their lobster salad on a bagel is incredible.
