lisa was the best student in the past 200 years and it's sad they don't even mention her in the storyline meanwhile i was expecting some screentime for her

@@amari7782 do you mean collei? True, she was hardly involved in the main story at all. I know it would be bad but I kind of hoped that she would encounter with Dottore in the Sumeru quest since she had trauma from what Dottore did to her and I hoped that she would be able to overcome her fear after she goes against Dottore. I think her Eleazar is not treated completely so I hope she would somehow encounter Dottore in the future since he is likely our main villain in the story for now.
@@kehan6252 There is almost no way that collei will ever recover from what dottore did to her. Sure she might get better to the point where she's fine with people touching her but I don't think she will ever be fine with meeting Dottore again. As for her Eleazar it is completely cured and should not come back again

Lisa being in the darshan that studies the leylines and Irminsul gives more credence to the theory the gadget Venti got from Lisa was developed to spot aranaras.

It was never stated, that upcoming costume is the real uniform from way back in the days. It says "it was made to resemble", which allows for any sort of modifications, including ditching the Spantamad sigil.

It’s kinda wild how Lisa isn’t really brought up in Sumeru at all….. like… I for sure thought we’d get some type of lore with her since she studied there. Maybe we will with this upcoming event?
She is by people inside the House of Daena. Just go talk to NPCs.
Some NPC made a comment about how she would be a likely candidate for a sage if she wasn't in Mondstadt, don't remember if it was part of a quest or just basic NPC comment

@@lattezuha somewhere around or inside akademiya, can't remember excactly where, sorry. But it might require doing the sumeru archon questlines and potentially Alhaitham's quest as I was doing that when I heard the line.
Layla said something about her and I'm pretty sure another playable character might've said something about her?
I don't think the alumni of the akademiya still wore their Darshan's sigil after graduation. Kaveh, Alhaitham and Tighnari doesn't, maybe it's the same case as Lisa.

Alhaytam and Kaveh has their darshan logo hidden but can be found, while Sumeru logo has all darshan logo combined in it.
They don't wear a uniform.
Another particular thing about this outfit is it's name. "Sobriquet" means a more refined form of nickname or a specific name in nature.
Knowing Lisa's personality, maybe she wasn't a fan of the "stiff" uniform robes and choose her own design.

That and maybe because she was an exchange/international student... if non-mond natives don't use the crest pattern like Kaeya and Albedo... But Mika is the first male Favonius I see with the crest (in the tie) and he is native born, Amber while mixed (one side of the family came from Liyue) still have the crest on clothes because she has right by birth.
@@KiryuSeiran albedo and kaeya do have the shared trait of being both from khaenri'ahn origins, so maybe the crest is not necessarily restricted to natives (since both of them have some lingering guilt about their origins and can't fully identify with Mond no matter how much they love it and its people)
Lisa had graduated from the Akademiya for a very long time so her uniform is old and not fit for her right now, so she have to made her this revised costume. Of course it misses a lot of details too.
I thought the Akademiya is like some kind of a university and any university students are technically adults lol. It would still fit her..unless she actually grew out in size.

I always think that if we are gonna see , somehow , an alternative timeline/dimesion in Genshin, Lisa is probabily become an entity similiar to Rosalyne. Beware of the Purple Rose Witch or something like that. Love her

The description of it says it was an outfit she had commissioned to be made, *BASED* on her Akademiya uniform. Obviously it's not going to be the exact same Akademiya uniform. Evenso, she's no longer a student so what it looks like doesn't matter.
I wonder if Lisa is as strong as the other witches like Alice and Signora in lore
Alice and Mona's master invited Lisa to join their witch/sage circle but Lisa refused.
I feel like she's a bit weaker/on the same level as them. Lisa is incredibly strong but Signora sacrificed her human form and Alice was never a human to begin with.

I might be wrong on that but I dont think they all HAVE to wear uniform with decals. Like the traveler doesnt have to wear green adventurer's uniform (+ fishl and benny)
Cause not every student npc have dashran's color in their clothes (atleast not on the hat)
Also in the end of Tighnari's story quest you can see the photo near Karkata where was Karkata's friend with fansy glasses (sorry dont remember how to pronounce his name) and Tighnari. Tighnari told that when he was a student many other students tend to take a photo with him, and on that photo Tighnari wore his usual clothes.
So either I'm wrong or blind or the uniform is not obligatory

its just that they're playable characters so they dont wear uniforms, simple reason. look at other playable characters that are supposed to wear uniform (kinghts of favonius and tenryou commision), they dont wear uniforms either.

The Knights of Favonius seem to adhere to a navy, white and silver color scheme but at the same time they are all captains so they could easily justify the uniqueness of their outfits by “the captain gets unique clothing”. The colors and even some of the patterns are similar too like the blue and white cape and navy shirts.

anyways by the end of the day, they are playable characters thats the point; even if they dont have special position or strong lore in general (layla for example is just an ordinary akademiya student) hyv wont put a uniform on them because playable characters must have distinct design from npcs.

Well she is a outcast by default of her story and her outfit reflects that. Its probably a separate gear used for gliding specifically, hence red being the color along with brown goggles and gloves.

I was kinda sad that her hat didn’t have the Spantamad emblem on it.
I could see it as being her way of reminding everyone that she isn't a dedicated part of the Akademiya anymore. One of the reasons she left was how obsessive many researchers became and how ruthless the politics were. Plus there is at least one NPC that mentions that they wish she would come back and become the new Grand Conservitor.

I remember before sumeru came out I thought that how we would get to sumeru was that Lisa would take us there or collie would come to monstad and then when she goes back take us with her and we would have seemed bettewn her and amber or a scene between cyno and Lisa or just something with Lisa but it was a bug let down that she wasn’t even mentioned at all in sumeru
Also if she was the best student at the academia shouldent she have been a sage or offered the role or at least mentioned by one of the sages or something
After Sumeru release in 3.0, 3.1, 3.2 and so on and getting through the main story i was so overwhelmed by the amount of lore we got, i remember thinking to myself "damn i really need a whole essay by catwithbluehat" to understand everything. That was when i realized you were taking a break in late 2022 and got sad, you are the only content creator i watch constantly with the bell activated since i started playing this game in 2020.
I can not express how happy i was when i learned about your return, thank you for coming back and i know it's not much but i joined your membership here, if u ever think about running a patreon or something i would love to continue to support you there. I hope we get a quest in Sumeru with her in it so we can learn more about why she left, we kind of know why from character stories however a flashback would be nice, as well as confirmation about that magic book she touched that cut her lifespan.
I don't think its been confirmed or not if they decided to keep that in her back story or if they ditched it in the finalized version of Genshin.

As far as we know the title witch isn't just lady who knows magic but refers to a specific high power level, like klee's mom, signora (crimson witch) and well, Lisa, even tho she doesn't associate herself with other witches, we know that others consider her a witch, so she is problebly a lot stronger than she shows
This is why Genshin had so few outfit/costume for characters

You know, if she wears that to Akademiya, maybe she will got nasty looks from others. It is like someone try to copy your outfit but failed miserable. Like the Akademiya overall outfits are not revealing for example. It is like university setting dress code for their students to wear. So for the best, Lisa can't wear that to Akademiya.

If my impression of the timeline is correct, then Lisa must have graduated a decent while ago. In addition to her own revisions or akademiya revisions to the uniform, I believe this is probably just a character design choice.

It's kinda like they (mihoyo/hoyoverse) treated the vision users who are playable (or playable in the future but are NPCs at the moment) more "special" than the ones who are NPCs in the clothing designs. I think it stands out a little bit too much comparing to the NPCs, to the point that you can even spot who is the playable character and who is the NPCs. I know that they also includes the ones who are NPCs that have visions and some who is coming soon, but take Rana or Tejima (the one for example, they are vision users, but without the story or npc dialogue telling them that they are vision users, you can be fooled and think that they are one of the NPCs.
Oh. I thought it was just normal for like last semester students to modify their uniforms, like Faruzan, Alhaitham, Kaveh etc. 😅

There is probably also an element that a lot want her back there more than she wants to come back. She was basically a prodigy, considered the greatest student to graduate in over 200 years. A lot were pretty shocked when she chose to go home.
