I think the very last scenery with the reflection on the water seems to be inspired by the Uyuni Salt desert (Salar de Uyuni) found in Bolivia. During its rainy season, the thin layer of water on top of the salt gives that exact same reflection effect. Feel free to google pictures, it's gorgeous!
With just one patch release of Natlan, I'm not afraid to say that it is the MOST beautiful nation we've explored so far. The geography is breathtaking and you can appreciate how much research they put into the landforms and other features. The best part of it all was the interactions with its lifeforms, NPCs and wildlife alike. I thought the underwater swimming in Fontaine can't be matched but Natlan exploration is up there with it. And I'm so glad the nightsoul mechanics wasn't as boring as the Pneumousia in Fontaine. Natlan was so much to explore I already 100% all areas 😅
Most eco diverse region in genshin makes me want to a remake to the older region like mondstadt liyue already have chenyu vale but imagine mondstadt the nation of anemo but didnt have any anemo related magical creatures at this point natlan anemo tribe is more anemo than mondstadt
That last special area made me tear up the first time I see it, I take so many pictures there and I'm glad we can revisit the place like "The Real Annapausis".
For me, saurians have always been the first reason why I like Natlan, especially since they are so cute and have so many interesting uses as the video describes 👍
I felt a bit bad fighting mobs in Natlan. They're not monsters, just people doing their things. Killing them and their saurian to steal treasure chest seems very wrong.
@@starlight14673they do that when we get too close. They otherwise ignore you if you keep it pushing. The saurians will roar at you if they spot you. But when you choose to continue pushing up to them they’ll attack. Same with the people.
Another fun fact, you can already interact with a Pyro Saurian in the game in a specific location somewhere in the mountains on the bottom right of Natlan, and it is the Phoenix looking bird Which apparebtly is what pyro boss from Natlan is supposed to be, but it looks like it does now due to the influence of the same mark our little buddy gets afflicted with

I thought the Iktomisaur was stated to be the one focused on making themselves flying by making themselves as light asa feather, so that would ame sense to be Anemo instead. There are currently no Pyro tribes in natlan( a theory is going on that the tribe of murata is the long lost Pyro tribe), so there might be no puro saurians at all. For the boss though I honestly have no clue why it deals Pyro, but it does not mean that all qucusaurs are all Pyro saurians. Maybe the boss is a mutated version of the qucusaurs, which allowed it to gain Pyro damage

In the same way you can understand Saurians when you indwell in one, some human NPCs have no dialogue when you are a Saurian. Haven't tested it much but the NPC from the world quest that ask for different ores doesn't talk when I talk to him as a Dendro Saurian
You need to finish the world quest regarding our dragon, there is 2 part, the first part is disconnected where you need to finish myriad of small quests regarding our dragon, after finishing ±5 of them then you'll automatically receive the second part
i actually just noticed the volcano erupt for the first time a couple hours ago haha, i was like 'yo what??' and then spent ages waiting for it to happen again xD really cool!
So Saurians can smell the falseness in you even when you indwell one. Natlan native mobs are neither treasure hoarders nor Fatui but are instead your every day tribe folk who are trained warriors camping out finding treasure, making territory, finding food, or training. BTW, them Natlan warriors got some crazy weapons, they got buzzsaws, spiked clubs, and cannon launchers that they can ride even ride on. That local legend thing is a return of the parry that was utilized during the Inazuma fight events and is that the Sword of Yangxe your Lumine is wielding?
One of them is a giant Sling Shot that transform from a cleaver or mace or something, she used her legs to push while she stretch the band to launch elemental bombs (I think its the fruits or something) AND SHE RIDES ON IT LIKE THE CANNONERS XD
I've been using Yelan on my Natlan exploration team with Mualani and Kachina, what's nice is that her skill running is treated as sprinting so you can use Natlan transmission right before it ends
The nightsoul transmission thing also works on water if you have mualani and like before her nightsoul points end you switch to kachina or any other character and then wait a bit until Mualanis icon lights up. Thats how i swam for hours without drowing

They're supernaturally good at picking up new skills as we've seen (multiple characters in events have commented on how fast they master the new gimmick like making coffee or what have you, and hell they learned and became fluent in a whole language in like two months) But at least to me, it seems like when in a tight spot they resort to swordfighting, and it has been said numerous times that they're ridiculously good. They're banned from participating in Pankration due to the outcome being a foregone conclusion, and an entire Knowledge Capsule of fighting experience barely made a difference. To me, it makes sense that their 'true power' would be relying on their swordfighting capabilities to parry and fight rather than anything elemental, which is basically just borrowed power while they're in Teyvat.

I extremely want to know what Teyvat looked like before. Every single time I see that arch design in the stone pillars and monuments that match Paimon's little symbol. It just makes me wonder if all nations were united as one until the war broke out. Nations divided by concept are so contrast from eachother...yet remnants of the past show otehrwise.

For information : unlike some others scripted fight that forces you to play your MC, when you fight the local legend your damages are really based on your stuff. Which mean the better stuff you have for the MC the more damages you will deal.
Having more than two characters won't make use of Nightsoul Transmission for exploration easier, just give more options for what to do with it - according to the help text for it, it has a single partywide 10 second cooldown.
That giant axe at the end gives me hope to see a Quetzalcoatl (fate G.O) skin for Mavuika I know the crossover is with star rail, but gd ill love to see that
Now come to think of it, travel not having pyro powers from natlan makes even more sense, because if he would have it he also needs this unique night kingdom stand that has zero connection with traveler. That's why he needs ancient name, so natlan would recognise them as their own.

Thank you for this video... I was utterly confounded by why sometimes when I switch to a Natlan character and it goes into the travel mode thing, pressing E would do something else instead of making the character get off their mount. This happened to me a lot in combat and I was mystified.
The Saurians won't immediately attack you in human form either as long as you don't run at them, attack them, or get to close. Similar to the warriors, they'll get a ? and will start posturing at you. I'm assuming this happens every time when indwelling because the Saurians are so slow, meaning there's more time for the enemies to play their animations
It's been a while I see traveler in action.. PARRYING??? dang... it was like two years ago from the last time parry system are used in an event.. but this time it's in overworld. specifically local legends of Natlan...
Had no idea you could increase nightsoul points this way. I might have missed the in-game explanation but Hoyo should really make this more obvious in game.
You know that you can ride around almost indefinitely with just Mualani alone right? You don't even need to do this Mualani Kichina trick to extend it. There's so many pit stops for Phlogiston around Natlan. Heck, there's also Phlogiston orbs that are randomly scattered everywhere too.
Well the first one only applies if you have Natlan characters, I only have kachina and she doesn't go far in exploration - when you have scara, furi and all she's not that great - but it's nice to have another one who can climb mountains smoothly. Plus outside of Natlan both aren't very good for exploration ( maybe Kinich will be since you can choose where to "jump", and it's pretty high so helpfull for any culus on rocks and stuffs ).
Bold of you to assume I'll pull for other Natlan characters aside from the Pyro Archon that I'll be able to switch to, to trigger that transmission thingy.
Amazing video, thank you! I wish Genshin would just give us unlimited stamina while running like most other games (Wuwa, Spiderman etc.), it's just so annoying. Then we wouldn't have to learn/do any special 'trick' to keep going and exploring at the pace that we want.
In Natlan, they get bigger discounts for using their skills in their element (such as surfing on water as Mualani), and they have access to Phlogiston reserves. But their nightsoul points still work outside of Natlan. Apparently, Wayob hate having to do that, and rarely give their permission, which is why people of Natlan usually don't leave Natlan.

Natlan is an epic, kinda want to stay there forever. It even surpassed Sumeru without new element.
And the amount of diversity it has feels amazing like visiting 3 mini regions plus we're still getting 3 more.

Actually, that's an anemo saurian called a qucusaur, they are from the flower-feathered clan.

If you're in Natlan you can ride almost endlessly if you have phlogiston! (The red line above your HP)
You know that you can ride around almost indefinitely with just Mualani alone right? You don't even need to do this Mualani Kichina trick to extend it.
There's so many pit stops for Phlogiston around Natlan. Heck, there's also Phlogiston orbs that are randomly scattered everywhere too.
Yeah i know you can extend the duration but I never seem to be near orb etc when I need it!
Exploration is gonna feel very dry after Natlan :(

Well the first one only applies if you have Natlan characters, I only have kachina and she doesn't go far in exploration - when you have scara, furi and all she's not that great - but it's nice to have another one who can climb mountains smoothly.
Plus outside of Natlan both aren't very good for exploration ( maybe Kinich will be since you can choose where to "jump", and it's pretty high so helpfull for any culus on rocks and stuffs ).

I wish Genshin would just give us unlimited stamina while running like most other games (Wuwa, Spiderman etc.), it's just so annoying. Then we wouldn't have to learn/do any special 'trick' to keep going and exploring at the pace that we want.

If Natlan’s exploration team is seriously powerful, it will only work in Natlan. What a pity.
In Natlan, they get bigger discounts for using their skills in their element (such as surfing on water as Mualani), and they have access to Phlogiston reserves. But their nightsoul points still work outside of Natlan.
Apparently, Wayob hate having to do that, and rarely give their permission, which is why people of Natlan usually don't leave Natlan.
